  1. I guess I'm looking at it a little different. Everything he took objection to HIS lawyers took objection to. When they ask for relevance for the questions, the person asking the question could not give any. Isn't that the whole reason to have a lawyer there on your behalf when being deposed, to point out where the person asking the questions over stepping their bounds and just on a fishing trip. Personally I agree with Justin's comments about it being 60 Minutes, Katy Couric and the other jabs at the in my opinion, very pushy lawyer who can't seem to justify his reasons to not only a lawyer (Justin's) and Justin himself. I agree 100% with Graeme. This has been heavily edited by TMZ for their profit. Nothing else. It they were actually trying to show the legal process AND that Bieber was a jerk, they would have released the entire 4 hours. Not their pre-selected clips. To say that they are only giving a 'glimpse' of this would be akin to saying what is printed in the Supermarket tabloids is the truth I think I would have just told the lawyer to F off and say that I will be willing to answer questions in a court room with a prosecution and defense lawyer present and a judge to rule what is admissible or not. Not to give some dimwit lawyer the right to ask stupid questions.
  2. All the kids must have had a Fisher Price toy rotary phone. I know they started making touch tone ones, but it seems like the rotary ones are still around.
  3. Since my sister collects anything to do with Penguins and also makes a trip at least once a month to the zoo to see penguins, I have forwarded on the link Thanks TJ

    Going Public

Hmmm, Jerry Lump Not sure if I trust him or not. I can't remember if that is accurate or not. And a big ugh Chase needs to talk to Brandon even after Brandon pulling him away. Misinterpreting Brandon's pull away is only going to keep this drama going It seems like the bad two are now 3 with them at a aptly named place...Devil's throat. Wondering where they are heading and really what the point of them being there in the first place is.

    Lump's Return

So Scar and Dimitri are becoming more a part of the story, or at least their storyline is starting to become more of a concern. The fact that Dimitri is former KGB and was willing to blow up a plane of a 100 people and crew is truly concerning. Yes, the Scar was questioning of it but was quick to dismiss it and move onto retrieving the funds from the account quite quickly. Lump is gone. Maybe they can write a song about that . Even though Helen is impressed with Brandon's natural instincts, I'm sure she is going have something quite vocal to express to him about not only putting Lump on the ground, but for taking off after Gabe (even though I hope he catches him). Where Chase had reason to take care of Lump, Brandon has reasons to take care of Gabe. Lisa, not sure if you will see this or not, I think when CJ originally released this story I don't think any of us had a smartphone. Slim flip phones were the the in thing at the time. I'm not sure if they could even access the internet so that would rule out an app. Also, music software was in their early development and other than Apple, I don't think there was much available.

    A Kiss

You evil goat The title should have been a kiss between Chase and Brandon, not Scar and Dimitri I liked the whole checking each others out and Helen picking up on it so quick. Then both of them making her swear they wouldn't make their true feelings known. I wonder how long Helen will be able to keep her mouth shut Then, Brandon picking up the sunglasses, how little did he know that was the exact same reason that Chase always had his on, even indoors.

    Moving Day

Lots of funny things in this chapter; The idea of Brandon's car parked in front of Helen's house, the realization that the guys and Helen were giving him 10,000 bucks, not 10, the fact that both Brandon and Chase are thinking the same about each others but too scared to bring it up. Also the serious too, the talk between Chase and Brandon breaks my heart for not only them, but to the 1000's of real life people that this happens to yearly Can't forget that it seems like the Scar is making more of a regular scene in the chapters now. I wonder what he is up to

    Outing

Ah, yes, Another cliffhanger by you CJ Reading the whole 'outing' of Jon had me absolutely roaring my head off. I'm sure my neighbours heard me. I had to stop several times to wipe my eyes from the tears I was laughing so hard Just the idea of Brandon's gaydar being broken has me waiting for the next chapter. Just wish that Helen was there for the scene to unfold.

    Roadie

I was wondering what the poster in Brandon's hotel room was of, but then when you got to the Drumbeat magazine I put two and two together The final line is a classic!! Looking forward to the first few sentences of the next chapter

    Prologue

I forgot how interesting this prologue was This is definitely the opening that would grasp me again and tell me to read on. So I think I will
  15. Like Graeme...I too consider CJ a friend and lucky to have him as one. Watching CJ grow as a writer has been amazing. His growth between his first serial and Let the Music play is amazing. To compare LTMP to the quality of a Tom Clancy novel isn't out of the question. CJ does an immense amount of research into his stories which is evident throughout. Add to the fact that he posted weekly when originally sharing with the readers of GA is simply amazing in itself. Anyone who hasn't read it should consider doing so.
  16. Yes, I remember reading when the original YMCA closed down in Calgary that it was a men's only club up until the late sixties and the pool was a nude swimming pool. Gender equality put a end to that . Sorry Benji, I know you aren't that old...but I think of the pictures I have seen in the old high schools of the basketball teams and their lack of shorts Um, no, sadly Canada's obesity rates are as bad as the US's and continue to climb. Heard on the news today while Canada's is climbing, the US is actually stagnant for the past five years Here is an example, here is me in my Speedo's taken last summer....
  17. :music: Happy Birthday Dark Prince :music: Hoping you are doing great and having a great Birthday!
  18. Hmmm, this made me look. It looks like in January I started my 8th year That means I've been here 1/4 of my life (what, I'm really 32 ) I remember getting my first own PC and then moving away from the big city I was in 2000. I think I found some bulletin board story sites and then joined up at Gay.com (is that still around ) . While there someone had a message about Nifty, so off I went looking. After finding Nifty and finding what I would call good stories opposed to porn stories, I found Desert Droppings by Dom Luka. Curious, I did a search and found Gay Authors. I immediately was hooked. I read for several years as a lurker and then I finally decided I wanted to interact with some of these brilliant authors here. I remember my first post as a member, I was so nervous. Would this expose me, would I screw this up and have a moderator tell me I did something wrong. Would it be full of spelling mistakes (back before I realized you could have auto dictionary work in your posts). But I hit the post button anyways. Now being part of the community and not just lurking, I found that this was a new home for me. Even though I was gay through this entire time, I think I was very reserved where I announced that I was gay. After reading and relating to everyone (mostly) I felt that signing up I could use the word gay to describe myself and be proud of it. The feeling the site gave me made me feel comfortable. I have met some great people too in real life. Some of the brilliant authors that I have met have been Viv, Shadowgod (Steve1), Andrew Q. Gordon (Andy), Myk (Greg) and others as well (Benji ). It is funny, over my life I have met some huge stars...Bill Cosby, Hockey Players, Rock Stars, etc. I've never been nervous or star struck by these people, but when I meet an author I'm in awe of what they have done in the past and their potential for the future, I'm definitely star struck. I'm truly lucky to meet some people here and interacted with more online.
  19. Ummm, the Brits came up with Sildenafil citrate or as we all know it...Viagra Yes it was American Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer that brought it to market. So take a bow you British, that is if you can with an erection The world loves you for it

  21. hmmmmmm, go figure Exactly what the French said would happen before the Olympics began
  22. So not sure if you all recall back during the Salt Lake City winter Olympics that there was a huge controversy with the fixing of scores in the Ice Dance Competition. After the French judge was called on it and testified that it was a backdoor deal to give the gold to the Russians no matter how they did, she admitted to all of it. In lieu of taking the gold away from the Russians who did not win it, it was instead decided to give gold medals to the Russians and the Canadians after the Olympics and the investigation. So what the Ice Dance Federation said is they were going to implement sweeping changes including adding technical judges to ensure this won't happen again. Fast Forward to last week. Ironically, the French, released just before the Olympics the the Russians and Americans have done a backdoor deal to keep the Canadians once again off the Gold Medal Podium. In agreement, the Russians would take the gold in the team competition and the Americans would in turn take the gold in the Ice Dance competition. This prediction came half true on the weekend when surprisingly (not) the Russians won and the Canadians second with the Americans 3rd. I personally agree with the approach of the Canadian's. They will await the outcome of the finals and then, and if by independent review (not through Canadian Rose Coloured Glasses) find there may have been something untoward, they will then launch an official protest, Seems like this corrupt sport never seems to learn from their mistakes Then again, I and the French may be proven wrong
  23. Oh, so this is where this topic moved too.
  24. Um....maybe because the list was of 17 Hot CANADIAN Olympic Athletes That's okay, we are happy to have him on the list So, I will say this because it will only be for now for the remainder of the Olympics.... Medal Count: Canada 3 USA 2
  25. Hmmmm, good question Mike I was thinking the same thing. This might be a subject that Tomas is making about the circle of life, how you start up is also the way you end up before you die. Although not a pleasant subject, it made me reflect on two people that I knew that died of cancer... My mother and my best friends dad. Both died too early in my opinion and interestingly enough, both went into hospice care when they did not have the strength to get to the washroom anymore. Both were catheterized but neither was comfortable about a bowel movement into an adult diaper. On both of their death certificates it doesn't say 'cancer' it says bowel blockage. I guess neither of them dying young enough could lose their pride to do that in a diaper. Too much emphasis is placed on the simple fact of not being able to control your body functions. Sure, some people have a stroke and are incapacitated and probably have no choice. Also, people inflicted with Crones and Colitis have to deal with it all their lives yet a colostomy bag is usually an alternative. I'm not sure how I will be when I reach that age I imagine it is something that all of us will probably have to consider unless we go quickly.
