  1. I like this challenge a lot, but it also falls right when the anthology is due. I doubt I'll have time for it, but will see how my anthology stories come along. Hopefully I'll have time for both.

    Rest In Peace Moggy

Thank you for letting us know. I've been wondering about her. She mentioned a while ago that she had been placed on hospice care. I'm so sorry to hear this. She will definitely be missed.
  3. Thanks so much I'm really happy with the response to Anomia. Thanks for reading and commenting
  4. Thanks so much. Those two are my favorites as well.
  5. Thanks so much, Addy.
  6. I'm so pleased #6 has touched so many. Anomia is another name for word-retrieval or word-finding difficulties, which is a common occurrence for people with brain injuries. I'm a speech-language pathologist and this poem reflects a conversation I had in a therapy session with one of my individuals.
  7. Thanks so much. I'm glad Anomia has stuck a chord with so many.
  8. I love how you use the same thought in multiple forms. Each complements and builds off the others, with more/different information revealed. I enjoyed them all.
  9. It's hard to wrap your mind around the instant loss of so many young lives. My heart breaks for the families and loved ones of those affected, and for all of Canada. Major for you, Steve.
  10. Thanks so much

    Call Me Mother

I loved it. It was nice to Tristan doing so much better after 'the incident'. And Leggo Myeggo had me Great job with conveying what you needed to in such a short piece. I'd love to read more about these characters.
  12. NaPoWriMo Week One 1. A choice not made is still a choice, Hidden deep, stifled voice Until the dam bursts open wide Exposed to all, nowhere to hide. 2. Winter melds into spring Juxtaposing white and warmth Scoffing at the date 3. Brown appliances Green wallpaper Lacquered wood table With extensions for special occasions. Pungent tang of liverwurst And stench of limburger, Tastier than their odors. Panca
  13. These are all gems. I read one thinking "this is my favorite", then moved onto the next to think the same thing for each offering. Number 2 stood out to me, but there's so much to like in every one of these. There is a minor error in April 6th. "Cows graze peacefully" or "Cow grazes peacefully". I am going to have to re-read these. Very well done. I can't wait to see what you do for the rest of the month.
  14. Welcome to GA. You'll find a friendly, supportive environment here.

    Chapter 25

Speaking like that to people is definitely not the way to win friends. Thanks for the comment

    Chapter 25

I understand what you mean. I don't think I could ever consider those words terms of endearment, no matter the context. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 25

This is based on an actual experience. I don't remember much about the girl who said the horrible remark, but I'll never forget the look on the girl it was directed at's face. I hope she eventually learned the error of her ways. Thanks for the comments, Puppi.

    Chapter 25

I was floored when I heard it. I couldn't believe anyone would talk to another person that way. Thanks, Cole. This was an interesting prompt to write and think about!
  19. Congratulations on completing the move. You must be relieved to have it finally over with, even if there are still boxes to unpack. FYI... I've been in my house ten years now and still have boxes I haven't unpacked. I admire you for having the courage to make such a big change. It's not easy leaving your comfort zone, even knowing the change is for the better. Best of luck and I'm looking forward to reading some new stuff from you
  20. Sounds intriguing. I'll have to check it out

    Downhearted

Thanks so much And thank you for reading.
  22. Gobsmacked, indeed. Holy freaking crap. I admire Bryan and Darren's restraint.
  23. Prompt: What’s the most offensive thing you’ve ever heard someone say? I stood on tiptoes and peered through the metal bars lining the top portion of the stall. The animal inside bit into the large pile of hay piled in the corner, then lifted its head to stare at me. It snorted, spraying hay, dirt, and goo all over my brand-new shirt. Laughter erupted next to me, and I looked over to see a boy my age doubled over. “That means he likes you,” he stated. I grimaced. “Great.

    Chapter 10

I've never thought about it, actually. I have too many projects going on right now to tackle anything new, but that's a good idea.
