Holy crap! That was intense! I hope Darren is caught. It just shows how you can't be too careful nowadays. The decriptions and emotions in this piece were palpable. I cringed when Darren struck Christian with the computer, and shuddered, even though I had a feeling how it would end. This was very well-written and, unfortunately, very realistic.

Thanks so much, Cole. I worried about including this in the anthology, because I wasn't sure how the subject matter would be received and because I didn't feel it was a complete story. But I liked it, and think this is the kind of story that grows on you the more you read it. Jason is beginning a new phase of his life. I don't think I'm done telling his story, and I'd like to find out more about Ollie.

Great interview Lie of the Serpent had me riveted from the beginning, wondering what was going to happen next. I'm with CM on thinking of titles. Sometimes they come to me right away and other times I struggle well after the story is completed. I'd love to read a story about Eddie. -

Great story, Cassie The confrontation scene between Eric and Brian was perfect. It shows how getting one perspective is only half the picture. Brian seems to have learned his lesson and I hope he and Timothy can have a better relationship than Brian and Eric's. And I hope Eric finds someone to give him the time and attention he deserves.

This story is painfully real. I have a feeling Liam is a relatable character to many. I'm glad he's now being honest with himself and seeing that his actions have consequences. Rob is a good guy for taking him in. And I'm glad to see he's setting boundaries for Liam. I feel for Kath, too. I'm not so sure she's homophobic vs. lashing out and wanting to hurt her husband in any way she can. I hope that she and Liam can arrive at an amicable relationship for Ryan's sake. Well done, Northie.

Damn... now I'm all caught up! I had a feeling Liam and Graeme were fooling around. Seems like Liam isn't ready to face his sexuality head-on, though. I'm interested to see where it all leads, even if I have to wait a couple of weeks

Whew... that was an intense chapter. I really like your writing style. The descriptions are so vivid and I can feel the characters' emotions clearly. I'm afraid I can relate a little too well to what they are going through. I understand Jake's anger completely. At least he and his mom are communicating. That's the first step. You've dropped more hints about Liam. I'm curious about his home life and his relationship with Graeme.

Ouch... well I was right about the reason for the . I feel for Jake. It's a horrible feeling when your whole world comes crashing down around you. I feel for his parents too. I don't know enough information yet to fully assess the situation, but I can't say I blame Jake's dad for leaving. And somehow I don't think the grandparents are going to take this all that well.

Thanks so much, Gary I suspect you are right about it being a roadblock to living. I imagine knowing he's not alone and that it's possible to have a relationship with different parameters is quite liberating.

I enjoyed this. You've portrayed a realistic scenario of a mid-life crisis. Will's truthfulness at the end... the accidental clarity... was just what they needed I think. While their issues aren't going to just disappear, it's a starting point to getting past them.

Labels are definitely not one-size-fits-all. There are many shades to asexuality, just as there are to Californians, Asian-Americans, gay, bi, depressed. We're all unique individuals brought together by a set of common characteristics.
