It's difficult when people let us down, and I have no time for bad parenting. Sometimes it's even worse when friends do it. Gay kids have to be resilient, even in this day and age unfortunately. Check this story out... it's a great read. Cheers!
Excellent story, Mark. Got me in the feels a few times. I'm pretty sure I would have guessed this was written by you if I hadn't already known when I started it. You have your own unique voice, and I felt the echoes a time or two.
It's a shame young LGBTQ+ folk have to guard their secrets. This was a real and timely piece in my opinion, and you used "Thet" to tell 'The Truth'. Loved that. Well done, sir.
Currently four fires in the area. One is contained, one is out of control, and two are being bombarded at the moment, so might be contained soon. We need rain... lots of rain.
Hello, all.
There are two wildfires really close to me--20 and 35 kilometers, and we had rain yesterday, but it wasn't enough to put them out. It did however shirk one down from 35 hectares to 22 hectares. The rain should make spontaneous fires elsewhere less likely. Fingers crossed. There are a lot of freaked out people around me.
I agree with Cassie that this was an emotional, beautiful story with a lot of nice touches, but the time flow had me confused too. That said, it wasn't a big deal in the overall. Loved the ending. At times I have believed in guardian angels. Thanks and cheers. G
