Nicely Done Carlos!! I'm late, so I'll just mention two things that hit me, in a nice way. First CJ's beautiful handling of Dawson. He could have bristled, threatened and a bunch of other things which would ultimately shown him in a lesser light. What he did was brilliant. The second was the fact it was BRETT who spoke the line, “I hope they enjoy it as much as we are.” He's come a long way in such a short while ...hehe. Thanks for sharing!

It's difficult to say anything, since I'm here so late. Everybody has said it all. So just a few things which affected me. "Mom" was obviously big. Saying it unconsciously was probably bigger. Joining the team was no surprise to me. I knew Andy was doomed the minute Kaz first mentioned it. Andy conquered a lot of uphills today, not the least being befriending and encouraging Jeff - Kaz is more of a teacher than Andy realizes. A great chapter Parker! Thanks for sharing.

I actually feel a little sorry for Jack. He is what he is because his parents made him that way. Hands-off except for "disappointment" when he doesn't fit their 'being the kid you wanted' mold. They obviously never had time for him (contracting a tree house - Jeez). The only time they interact with him is when they punish him. Naturally he's going to find another family, which is his group of friends. If he lived in the inner city, it would have been a gang. Perhaps Luke will demonstrate something different for him to absorb. I'm guessing in more ways than one. Nicely written Krista!!

What Cole said about the dream sequence.. It was placed and handled so well. Good writing!! This is turning into quite the whirlwind relationship, and we've only seen two moments. Nice one MrM! In Brandon, we can appreciate what we only were guessing at from the original Billy chapters. And Billy was chasing Simon pretty hard! Is Jamie's sister a new character? I don't remember her, but it's been a while since I read the first Billy chapters. Whether she was there or you created her, she fits perfectly. Hey Lisa, thanks for your comments! You've hit the best friend(s) separation pretty accurately. I think maybe it's Twoey who has the wrong angle on it all. But then Twoey is getting so emotionally close to David, he probably sees anything through that clouded lens. It'll be interesting to see how it resolves. David does seem a little organized I wonder if it affects the way he interprets other things too. And you're probably correct about having to wait until next Wednesday. But unfortunately, a lot of stuff can happen over the course of a week in David's world

Although there was a lot of Zandy at the beginning, this chapter has demonstrated Andy functioning as an independent teenage boy. We knew he could be independent, walking a bazillion miles showed that, but to fit into a normal family and school and function independently of Zander is sort of a big deal. You brought that out nicely today, Parker. It'll go a long way for Andy too. Thanks for this!

David's instinctive reliance on what pops up during meditation is (probably) either based on past success, or the unconscious realization it is actually HIMSELF in there coming up with that stuff. Your choice, depending in how you perceive the meditation as tapping something outside or inside him. whew! Ch 59 will indeed be revelatory, and it begins Part 3 of our story! I'm sorry about Sam. That was the moment he needed to reveal what he knew about Twoey to David. Unfortunately we aren't privy to how he knew - yet. But ultimately we will know. Maybe we should have a parallel story started called "Tommy's World." OMG that would be as daunting as "38 weeks of Twoey." You must be trying to slay the Dragon

Nathan, in his way, is going to be good for Robbie because he understands him. Not only does he understand, he conveys it to Robbie. Whatever they become, he'll probably be important as Robbie comes to grips with who he is and where he fits in. We might have been forming the wrong opinion of Nathan. I'm glad you gave us this chapter Dodger!

I really don't desire to interject too much, because I don't wish to steer discussion in any particular direction. As an impartial reader, it seems Toph has mastered at least one skill from his Euphoric upbringing. And that is presenting a normal face when interacting with others, his own reactions and interrelationship actions aside. In other words, he may have everyone fooled. Except for Naomi, of course. And maybe one other.

Hey Lisa! Thanks for your comments! I think the confrontation surprised both boys, especially with its viciousness. That part was probably David's paranoia poking out. The Kathy thing will be resolved soon enough. Tommy's mother is another thing completely. We can all see it's not moving toward any kind of a reasonable resolution.

Wow! Thank you for this penetrating review, AC! I think I'll comment on none of it ...well maybe only a little. Also, I may never write another review myself ...whew! I will comment on a couple points. Toph seems to regard the anima of inanimate objects. tim pointed this out. Toph began as an observer of himself and his world. He made a breakthrough which brought him (or part of him) into the world had had previously only been observing. We are witnessing, through many of the symptoms you and others have pointed out, a conflict between those mental states (nothing Earth-shattering here). Where does it lead? who gets hurt? who wins? who loses? I hope I can be successful in exposing all that. I'm not completely convinced, if the struggle for this chapter was any indication, but I'm an optimist
