Gosh, I'm certainly glad he found Joel! I wonder if there are other boys around with the same queasy feeling, or did this, whatever it is, only affect two boys? It was funny how he felt naked without a gun or big knife, and upset he was being treated like a kid. At least he has tons more confidence. Andrew could prove interesting if we're reading the signals right. Great chapter Gee!

Always Room For One More
skinnydragon commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Always Room For One More
Gosh CG, if we keep adding gay boys to the group we're gonna need one of those clown cars to fit them all in I hope Greg's good intentions don't get him into relationship trouble . He's a good guy. I can't imagine why Linda didn't want to be in the middle of all those guys Like Gary, I got a little tug when Benny tensed up about the poke in the arm to Cal. But then, I've always been a little partial to Benny. -
Thanks Reader! I sort of wanted them to hang around forever too, but this is the proper time. Maybe they'll make a cameo appearance from time to time. They'll always be welcomed.
-
Aw ...thanks AC! That IS sort of a gay therapy line, isn't it? I thought Ian's blossoming needed to be visualized with a kiss. Thanks for noting!
-
Thanks so much Tim! I'll miss peeking into their lives, but we owe them some privacy now.
-
Thanks Defiance! Yes, his Ian has finally blossomed, like the flower Miles always knew him to be.
-
Hey Parker! Yes, Miles always knew. You will have (exactly) one chance to meet them. The contest will appear in my next Quirky Poesy
-
I'm so glad you found these again Gary! Thanks for ALL the reviews. I appreciate that. I'm going to miss these guys after the final chapter. Maybe I'll find another couple to spy on ...haha

Home and Cold: Two Poems
skinnydragon commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Home and Cold: Two Poems
The second stanza of Cold has the most beautiful description of late fall/early winter. You can see it ...you can smell it ...you can feel it. Bravo! Home is simple and emotional and deep and proud, as you should be. Love them Tim! -
Tue. December 1 He was pleading, literally begging , to not attend the company’s Christmas Party. “Don’t be silly, Ian. I’m not going to go without you! They’ll have Cosmos. You’ll be OK.” “It’ll be terrible! You’ll be surrounded by all your colleagues and I’ll be a wallflower, sucking my drink in the corner! I don’t even know enough to have a simple conversation with book people.” “You’ll be fine sweetie! Anyway, ‘book people’ are just like everyone else. I’ll tell you what. Let’s go sho

Well described Parker. I shouldn't be reviewing poetry, I know. I saved writing anything until I came back to this a few times, separated by hours. When I first read it, I didn't understand, because I don't know how to be bored. Upon re-reading I realized a forced boredom. As Tim mentioned, being in a study hall. A good example. Upon re-re-reading, I remembered that type of boredom. Not the boredom of some 13 year old saying "I'm bored" but the boredom of waiting, of not being able to move on to something you want to do. Anyway that's how it affected me. Nicely done.

Week Six Monday, October 6, 2014: A Day of Warnings
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Six Monday, October 6, 2014: A Day of Warnings
Thanks for the comments, as always, Defiance! I think that's the first time Dad has "appeared", isn't it. Even though it must go against all her background, I think the love for her son is going to be a trump card for Ginny. Now she believes there is some kind of connection between the boys, I don't see her ignoring David's warning. -
Week Six Monday, October 6, 2014: A Day of Warnings
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Six Monday, October 6, 2014: A Day of Warnings
Thanks Parker! It was a bit overwhelming for David today, wasn't it. I hope he doesn't get too caught up in the minor stuff and not devote enough attention to the major stuff ...but he has a history of doing so, I think. -
A wonderful vignette Tim! And a great tribute to a beautiful person. I wish I could have met her now. That's how nicely your story described her. Each person has a cast of persons who helped shape who they become, either for good or for sadness. We can each be an Isabella.

I'm with Craig. It is difficult to make any sense of it. But I know I'll simply have to wait with everyone else. That's OK. I can be patient. BTW I should mention you did a super fine job of describing the confusion from Craig's point of view. By the time he got to discovering rabble, he was sufficiently screwed up to go with the flow. Great work Gee!

I guess we could call this a road chapter ...haha. As in all his road chapters, Eric learns a few more things. One thing is, he now knows he's an English. and also what switchel is. "I hope you can find your way home and the end of your trouble" was a beautiful thought and comment. We can only wonder if he'll be discovered in the morning. Maybe be a llama farmer for the winter?

Week Six Monday, October 6, 2014: A Day of Warnings
skinnydragon posted new chapter in 18 Weeks of Twoey
The morning run demanded quiet thoughts. It gave me time to remember something about my meditation. When Sam got me to begin meditating, it was to calm myself, allowing me to cope with daily pressures. He taught me to go through a process of slowing my brain activity and enter this deeper state. It has something to do with biorhythms, whatever they are. Of course I tried it and found it did help. When I used the technique before baseball games, I wasn't as nervous and seemed to be able to focus- 10 comments

Whoah! I'm sort of speechless. That couldn't have been a dream that lasted months. A parallel universe? I guess we'll have to wait to find out. A great surprise there Gee!!
-
You know, I'd have to call this a relaxing chapter. By that, I mean all the characters are entering a relaxed phase with each other, and it produced a smile on my face while reading every word of it. I'm glad CG, in his review, mentioned his concern about Chris. I've had a small unease with him since we first met him. I hope it's just a grey cloud passing over my brain. Evan certainly doesn't need any more anxiety. I'm squeezing for them anyway. Lovely chapter Tim. Truly.

Great chapter Dodger!! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I read it. Then I had to read it again!

Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
Thanks for that CG!...although Kathy probably doesn't thank you You know, you've sorta nailed it with your advice to David. But despite his desire NOT to be labelled (we'll see that even more later), he thinks admitting his feelings for Twoey will make him gay i.e.he gives himself a label! Ironic. He needs to get past that. -
Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
Thanks Defiance! I guess we'll have to wait to see what Martin tells David face-to-face about Kathy. Tommy's mother. We're all gonna dislike her even more! The head pains are interesting, aren't they? -
Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
Thanks Parker! You're right. Twoey's head pain somehow doesn't seem connected to the bullet wound. Mike's dollar isn't done with the boys yet ...hehe. -
Well that was certainly a bright idea, getting a couple of dogs. They'll be useful for defense, but as rabble already proved, they can be an early warning system for their humans who don't have the same acute sense of smell and hearing. Also, a couple of big dogs will act as deterrent for some would-be predators. A good chapter Gee, as the boys gain experience and prepare for the future!
