Wow Wolfman, I don't know how, but I 'lost' this story for a while. Well, I'm all caught up now. I just wanted to say it is a very compelling story and this chapter was very emotional. I hope Matt survives and gets his spirit back. The kid deserves a break.

I'm with Parker (not literally ). I don't think the story has stalled either. Stalled how? Robbie is doing stuff, and we know there are going to be consequences. There are enough people around him for support, but also some to challenge him. How Robbie responds to it all is the real story. I mean, come on. "Robbie arrives in Canada - announced he's gay - meets a gay boy - they become a couple - the end." That's not a story, that's boring. You're doing fine Dodger, don't get discouraged. Sometimes we forget about what it was like to be 15. For gosh sake, the color of your socks was something to sweat blood over. That's how easy it was to believe you'd be an outcast, even if we laugh about it now. Coming out? That's nuclear!! OK ...end rant ...sorry. btw a very, very entertaining chapter Dodger!

See Eric, that's what you get sticking around somewhere for a while. Always the problem when you become 'known' ...things get complicated. I don't think there's any indication Toby is gay, so Eric needs to watch his enthusiasm. But I think he's pretty cautious at this stage. Ambrose being a cop could cause problems if he wasn't satisfied with Eric's answers to the interrogation. Lots of nice stuff to worry think about Parker! Another great chapter!!

Nicely done CG! I say that because even I could follow it. This is clearly not my strength ...hehe. Is it coincidence that this is written as evidence of water flow, still in progress on Mars, has been discovered? Or did you incorporate those thoughts? In any event, terra-forming is now much more possible, although still a bit far off. I suppose for any incentive to exist for a spaceflight to span the time required, such nano-robots with the ability to prolong human life indefinitely, would be necessary, or some equivalent notion. It's a good story with both future-probable-scientific and future-possible-human (in all manifestations) developments. Did I actually write that last sentence? Sorry! Anyway, a great tale, as I anticipate future chapters... (Sorry again)

Thanks for the review and for catching up Defiance! You're amazing! Pray-for-David is Johnson's answer to getting therapy, I guess. I want Twoey happy and not hurt too, but hmmm. Well, chapter 27 is the last chapter of Part 1, whose title is "Twoey Discovers Himself" so Sept 27 marks the date when his discovery ends, I guess.

Hey Defiance, thanks for the review! Something's definitely going on with Tommy's mother off stage. Nothing else makes sense. I thought David was remarkably well balanced with the Lanni news. Perhaps she was still in the 'maybe' stage in his thinking, so it was easier. Just a guess. Twoey should NOT go to Danny's house.

Thanks for the comments Lisa! These 4 chapters (28-31) are the intermezzo before Part 2 begins (Ch 32). Sam is, in a way, David's court jester. He exposes David to the truth, when he feels the need. He's not gay, but he is devoted to David unlike any of David's other friends. I hope David can repay him one day.

Thanks for the review and tears Lisa! I have to admit, each time I rewrote the chapter, I got them too. I really fell in love with Danny myself. Sometimes David understands stuff so well, other times he's really obtuse! Maybe it's a subconscious defense mechanism that won't allow him to see the truth.

Sorry Lisa, I guess Part 1 did end with a bang. This part was titled "Twoey Discovering Himself," and that he did! (To the dismay of a few reviewers.) Next we have to work on David a bit.

A nice break for Eric! Eustace reminding him it was Eric's own money was both poignant and interesting. I agree with the others (feels odd not to be the first review) that Eustace knows something is up, but as you mentioned, is one to mind his own business. Ambrose's family. That's interesting. Could be some grandkid who will be a bit of a test for Eric. He didn't trust Toby and won't trust anyone for a long time. Thanks for a very rewarding chapter Parker!
