  1. The poems are wonderful Gary. I think Tim has said everything that needs or could be said, so I am not going to add any more commentary. Thank you for sharing your words with us.
  2. As I said in the forum, the POV worked. It was great to see Nate and Bodie interact and react on their level as opposed to through the filter of an adult. One point of relief for me was finding out that Bodie's dad has been firmly on his side from the beginning. He reacted as a parent should. As for his friends - especially Evan who back peddled from his being okay with Bodie's being gay - I'm more inclined to believe that peer pressure reared its ugly head. I'm hoping this can be resolved in a positive manner. There was a lot of lightness in this chapter that was delightful to witness. Playing with the puppies and the revelations that they had something in common was great, but, the clothes shopping stole the show. Hmm, I just downplayed the discovery that they are both gay, okay so that stole the show, but it was a double feature, so that's okay. I know teenage boys can be loud, so if you need to do another POV like this to silence them that would be fine by me. As always, a great and wonderfully executed chapter Gary.
  3. It does
  4. Brant Daugherty We have Drew to thank for the answer
  5. I must congratulate you then. what a catch.
  6. Who is the mystery man with the beautiful blue eyes....?????
  7. Hey Tim I can feel a whole lot of love within these words. Missing that person proves the love is strong. Nicely done.
  8. Due to a scheduling snafu, Heather Koehler did not have a professional photographer on her wedding day. A stranger heard her story and decided to give her a gift of memories - for free! http://hellogiggles.com/photographer-wedding-saved-the-day/
  9. Out of likes  Hey Tim Don't know the film referenced but that's okay. I can still see into the mind of the observer and be a witness to what he sees. A poignant tale. I don't know a thing about poetic internal structure, syllable count or metre, but this worked for me. Nicely done.
  10. Amazing article
  11. I had a very late lunch, so I'm not sure what time of day it is...
  12. Out of likes  It's an unfortunate happenstance when someone so good and so right gets tangled up by someone who is self absorbed and lives blindly in a Me, Me, Me world. If only there was radar alerts for such things... As always, your words speak volumes in beautiful tomes Gary.
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  14. Hey Tim What I like about your poetry - no matter if long or short - is that the stories they tell are full of life. I may be reading words, but I can see and experience people, places and things in my minds eye. Well done.

    Improvement

I'm not going to say what I had originally planned because, alas, it mentioned a felony... Markey is the most vile of beings - not going to call him human. It's a wonderful thing that sweet and loving Ian was found by someone as loving as Miles. Ian still has major issues with his confidence and feelings of self worth (Markey induced, no doubt) but Miles is his staunchest cheerleader and is slowly making headway against those issues. He is patient because he knows Ian is worth whatever it takes to quash what Markey had wrought.
  16. Just being there when you are needed is a salve to the soul. Beautiful words telling a painful tale but with hope on the horizon. Take care Gary

    Wanted

A Halloween story with an HEA. I wouldn't have expected that with the way it started, but I do like how it ended. Nicely done
  18. I don't think that could be any cuter or sweeter...the awww factor is over the top. Uncle Mike did great today with both boys. it was also nice to see where (as in family values) Bodie comes from. I think their street is going to be a very happy place come January 15. I really enjoyed this chapter Gary. It is full of light and sunshine (no pun intended ) Thank you.
  19. Brilliant! Matt's a Scooby Snack. I will admit, for a moment there, I thought he was supposed to be Shaggy...but this is much cuter. Delightful little tale CM. Thank you.
  20. Sad as it is to see it end, what a great send off for Autumn! The adoption related scenes were great. I would have loved to see our three favourite guys dressed so smartly as I am sure they would be quite the sight. Even though Brett has been CJ's "dad" for a while now, having that piece of paper means something very special to him. It is proof to the world that CJ is his son and he is damn proud of that fact. The dissolution of Dragon and King's relationship is unfortunate, but we are not reading a fairy tale, so real life occurrences do happen. Who knows what the future will bring? I will be reading Winter to find out. The surprise party for CJ was nicely done. I really liked that Harley was able refrain from spilling the beans to CJ. I know he said he was "threatened" and he probably was, but I see him wanting to keep this secret because it was for CJ. He values his friendship with CJ a great deal and keeping this secret was just one way of showing that. Good job Harley! I have a few other thoughts running around in my head, but I am going to let them run. I will just see if those runs lead somewhere or stay a circular course. Autumn is at at end and it was a fantastic ride Carlos, so thank you for taking the time to give us this wonderful tale. I have one last question for you: What colour is the jeep?
  21. Hey Tim. The poems are all well written - clear and to the point. The subjects are all debatable, but in the end, only you can come up with the right answer. As usual, well done. 1810
  22. :wizard: HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUOKKA!! :wizard:
  23. Hey Tim I got you message loud and clear. When that happens, there is a wonderful moment of all encompassing 'wow'. I have read real life stories that have touched me like this, but now I am reminded of a story I read a story on GA in March 2014. It touched me deeply and left me sitting in stunned, but thrilled, silence. Words did eventually come to me and I wrote my first ever GA review. Thanks for bringing back that memory of awe and wow and magic all rolled into one As always, well done and thank you for sharing your words with us.
  24. What do you mean "was". Are you not anymore?
