I like what Mike and Matt are doing at the hospice. Facing down Stan was a great scene in this chapter. However, this part really got to my heart.

These guys certainly know how to make a vacation memorable!

Bad author! We should sing out of tune songs and tell bad jokes as punishment for making us think Mike was dead. Mike finally gets healed and forgives himself, and you through in another slimy characters to stir up trouble. Good twist to the plot!

I also love a good red wine. I am envious that you had cheddar with it. I can get a lot of good cheeses here, but most of the cheddar cheeses are not that great.

Mike is young, but I am still very disappointed in him. I do hope Matt will forgive him if he gets well.

Great chapter! I loved the jokes even as I was groaning. IMO the blonde was no dummy. She knows how to get what she wants. Matt was the hero in this chapter. He handled the police interview, helping Matt get treated, documented the injuries, got the school to get behind better security, nursed Matt back to health and help both of them come out to the teammates. I was right about Jason being murdered for owing drug money.

Jason was a prick, but murdering him was still so wrong. Someone must have really hated him, or may be he owed to much from doing drugs. Matt has a big problem, since he threatened Jason. At least one of Mike's teammates support him. I think both Matt and Mike will have more support from teammates than they think.

Matt's confession was not the result of his abuse by Rick. However, that abuse will make getting to the physical part of their relationship more difficult. It is very realistic for Matt to fall in love with Mike. They have a common bond and deep friendship on which to build their relationship. The dialogue was well written to express their reasons for loving each other. They will be a great couple.

Steve's mother has found him a summer job. Surprisingly, he loves the job and Debbie the quirky owner of Thrift Shop Nation. However, there is an even bigger surprise in store for Steve, something he wants desperately. Something out of his dreams. This is a delightful story of first love and second chances. Full of humor and smoldering emotions, it is a very great read. Though short, there is another great sequel to this story when you finish this one. I give it my highest recommendation.

The weather certainly reflects the mood of what is happening with Gianni. He questions everything he does when I doesn't get the response he expected. Gianni feels the things they have in common should strengthen their relationship, but doesn't see the differences that makes it harder for Sami. Gianni misses his parents, but Sami is so young he probably feels more like he has been abandoned by the adults and fears to get too close to Gianni and Angelo. Gianni did fit in the community faster, but had the language and background to do that much more quickly than Sami. Gianni talked about accepting his family, but seems to forget the great difficulty he had with his grandparents, especially his grandmother. Gianni is trying, but he needs to be more patient and not overthink the problem.

I'm enjoying the story very much. Each chapter adds more reasons to appreciate these two guys and the Broman family.

This has an interesting start, and I like the two characters. The part about Matt's infection was very realistic. I had a similar infection after visiting Thailand. Details differ like the recovery time for me was much longer. Looking forward to see how this story unfolds.
