Thank you for the cover pictures. They both fit Elijah, the boy next door, and Kage, the international spy and assassin. They are both Hot! That would explain the quick sexual attraction of the two, however, the way you wrote about that attraction made it seem to be likely more. I suspect that we may find out later that they are true, destined mates. They are related to animal shifter who have this kind of bond. The fact Kage's Fae boss referred to Elijah as Kage's toy would indicate he senses at least the attraction between the two. Kage's surveillance of Elijah at work and tracking him is also interesting. He needs to find out more, and is also staying very close to Elijah to find out more information. Is this only to do his job, or a way of getting closer to Elijah? You have written a very intriguing chapter, and no cliffhanger. Anyone for a game of cat and mouse? It seems the story might have several players in the game. Guess which parts Kage and Elijah will play!

Grumpy is doing a great job of teaching Vincent how to be an investigator. He uses positive affirmations when Vince has a good idea, observation or insightful comment. Grumpy also does not immediately tell Vincent what he should or should not do about his profile. Instead, he told Vincent what he, Grumpy does, the gives a counter example of Cyrus and tells Vincent it is up to Vincent what he chooses to do. The meeting with Reardon and his beta was interesting, and I hope that Reardon will become a friend and ally. Wagner continues to get in the middle of the whole mess in New York. That is leading to more information and leads, but does slow the process of justice. In the long run it will hopefully make the solution more effective and comprehensive by catch all the major players and not just Harold. Great chapter!

Maybe Tristan should send one back of Logan Lerman getting punched in the face. 😂 I think @Wattelec's idea of the 'unknown' being Scottie may be spot on. I am sure that Artie recognized Tristan on the elevator. Jesse seemed to be very interested in Tristan. I wonder if Jesse takes the down elevator as Tristan takes the up elevator. A very fun chapter!

Word nerd first. Sclaff is Scottish for a slap, and is probably an onomatopoeia. Since Scottish golfers thought the sound of a club scraping the ground sounded similar, they used the word for that kind of shot. First known use of the word as a golf term was in 1893. I think it would be interesting to use in literature also. Example: His biting words and rude gestures were sclaffing a hole big enough to bury my love for him. (Or maybe a word to describe the sound of Arnold Horshack's laugh on "Welcome Back, Kotter.")
