Chapter 50 Building a Solid Hand
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 50 Building a Solid Hand
Ch.50!! Yahoo! Congrats.. Think you got another 50 in you..lol j/k This was a great chapter. We see already the influence that the Uncles are having on the two boys. They probably weren't expecting to also be an example to Bodie but clearly, he's watching and learning. How cool is that. Kendall is right about sharing his past with Nate. Not only does it give them a common ground, it lets Nate see that he's not alone in his feelings and it is possible to overcome what he is going through now. Both Kendall and Michael are thoughtful and sensitive to their nephew's needs. Starting school in the middle of the year sucks, but starting it with a friend to ease you in is great. The stability and modeling that they are providing is really the best medicine. Which is why, Collen needs to call so Nate can visit overnight and K&M can have that much needed playtime... Wearing the the new clothes worked..Bodie noticed. These two are cute and sweet together. They probably don't even realise that people notice them and can see their connection. Somehow, I think they will make more friends than enemies and the haters won't even have a say.. Now Jeremy, we love him he's such a good wholesome guy....he gets a spin off right? Right?!! Loved it Gary, well done! -
Yes, puppies make everything better. Senti will do that for Morgan. I felt sad for Morgan watching him put pieces of Danny away, acknowledging beginnings of something but not yet ready to face it. It has to be a tough place to be in, but I can appreciate him moving away from what Danny would have wanted (f. dog) as an example. He is moving slowly forward.

Week Six Thursday, October 9, 2014: Biggy’s Room
Defiance19 commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Six Thursday, October 9, 2014: Biggy’s Room
Didn't we all have a teacher in the form of Burch. He annoys me. Ugh! Mine was Madam Tobias and I dislike her now as fiercely as I did then... Anyway. Tommy, best brother ever. Biggy and David as friends, pretty cool. It's nice to see David realise that his world does indeed expand outside his safe circle. Hopefully being around the varsity kids may enlighten him a bit too. I wish there was a way to protect Twoey from what's coming. I don't think he'd be able to handle all the information at once anyway. Dealing with Danny's death is going to be bad enough. Too bad he picked up on Ginny's little lie. I think she's protecting both him and David, but he might bring it up again.. -
Week Six Wednesday October 8, 2014: She Loves Me?
Defiance19 commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Six Wednesday October 8, 2014: She Loves Me?
So, what you said to CG about Tommy's mother and the food, I thought about that, but then I just thought David was hell bent on hating it no matter what. Clearly, we or just me, are missing parts of what's really going on.. Hmm.. Need to pay attention.. In any event he looks like he is adopting Twoey's mom.. I wonder if she has an idea. Good news, Twoey is on the mend! -
I haven't heard or even thought of Perhaps Love in a very very long time. Now, it will be like a loop in my head. Thanks for that.. It really isn't a bad song, and your poem reflected that love perfectly. 'I'm stronger when I'm with you. And never wonder why.' A state of being, it just is.. beautiful Tim..

Lunch boy and Andy connected...eye contact anyway. Terry is persistent. Andy knows the risk he is taking, and he's taking it anyway. Maybe, subconsciously he wants to get caught? I mean the reality of what would happen if he does is scary, but I think part of him just does want to stop. That was a small victory, overcoming his father's voice, and taking the advanced math class. Andy is proving by his ingenuity, he is not at all stupid. I'm happy he's finding ways to survive, but curious to see where you take him next..

It seems like we were all like minded, finding it difficult to 'like' this entry. But, I liked it because you courageously share your life so openly, and with such raw honesty. For the strength it takes to not let your past dictate who you are today. You are an incredible inspiration Tim...

Chapter 28: Settling In
Defiance19 commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 28: Settling In
Yeah Andy, you will see Lunch boy everywhere now! Andy is indeed settling. I was worried about the check, but that worked out. I have a feeling that Marjorie may look more closely at Andy than Eustace did and he may not be able to put it over on her as easily. I was thinking of my school, and assuming that because this is a small town, there is relatively no security in place? It is no little anxiety I feel with each new chapter, wondering what's going to happen.. Good job Parker. -
How terribly sad for both these men, I think equally affected by something they both wanted. Tormented as Jenson must have been he didn't allow his guilt to keep him from devoting his life to Kel's well being. They essentially both stopped living that night. There was no way Jenson was going to move on freely. It's good Merrick pressed the issue and was there for Jenson. Now at least Merrick will have a better idea why all the starts and stops. I think too Jenson might understandably be more hesitant for fear of the same happening to Merrick. I'm counting on all the ways that Merrick will use to change his mind. Really good chapter. Thank Lit.

Chapter 27: Hard to Believe
Defiance19 commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 27: Hard to Believe
There is so much room for things to go wrong, but I'm not going to dwell on that. For now I'm excited for S/E/Andy. I just know keeping that lawyers card was a good thing. Never mind that he helped himself to information off of it. He's putting himself out there, is still the under the radar for now and pretty much still needs a place to stay. But everything that he did implies that he wants to stop running or else why go through the trouble. Sure it may come to that, but I'm counting on Marjorie, and the lawyer to come through somehow. And then there's Lunch boy... I know what I would like to happen, so I can't wait to see how this all goes. -
Week Six Tuesday October 7, 2014: Straight Things
Defiance19 commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Six Tuesday October 7, 2014: Straight Things
Matty is soldiering on. I wonder how far he will dare to push... and David, there's a reason you feel buzzed from all the contact. Nothing gets past Sam it seems. Kathy is that girl who needs to be the center of her guy's world huh! Is it bad that I don't want Twoey to remember the meetings right away, and then only slowly in bits and pieces. I'm just scared that maybe it will hold such an expectation and David is not quite there yet. With Ginny now promising to feed David, they will be spending tons of time together. That's better right? I'm trying to stop thinking ahead but I can't help it! -
Yay, Noel is staying. The talk he had with Simon revealed a lot and did good. Simon's feelings toward him are better understood and I see why he wouldn't like Noel. I'm also happy Simon pointed out that Noel's support of Diarmond at the meeting was not at all influenced. It was a display of Noel's own strength and instinct on how to best handle the situation. It will go a long way to convince Noel that he is his own person and believing that at least some actions are his own. Even better, learning that Luis and Tristan feelings were not romantic, will help him sort the love that's growing for his mate. Can't wait until Diarmond gets stronger, the promise of a battle of wills.. Should be fun! Was Noel it for Diarmand. Surely if Noel ran, he would gave died waiting for someone else. It just struck me that they took an awful big chance, or maybe not... Again, a really good chapter!

Oh no! What's going on.. Poor Seth didn't even know what hit him. What happens to Bryan now? Write more soon!

I have to come back with the likes, but this is a great start. What a terrible thing to have happen. At least he was able to say goodbye to his wife. I'm curious now about what the curse is and how bad it must be to warrant banishment. Well done..
-
Name change! Is Blackburn it for Andy? The thing with small towns, everyone knows each other. How is he going to find a place to hide out much less go to school. It's going to be interesting. He didn't immediately throw the business card away, and it helped him once. Will this lawyer be a help to him again. Will Marjorie be the one to figure him out? Can you tell I want this kid cared for, and safe like last week. Good chapter Parker..

That Robbie allowed David a second chance is a gift. If I'm being honest, I guard my heart too closely to even have considered a second chance. Forgiveness maybe. At the same time, I can see clearly that Robbie would have denied himself and David the chance of a great love because of a thoughtless mistake so long ago. People do change and sometimes it's worth taking the chance. I liked how you wrote David correcting his thoughts as he observed Robbie, to align with how he felt back then. It shows that he honestly had a good look at who he was then, and he knows he's not that person now. Growth, redemption, forgiveness and love. All woven wonderfully into yet another great story Tim. Well done.

Oh no.. It is sad like everyone says.. I wonder if Braden was just really scared of his feelings. This was very well done. I hope you find a way to come back to it. Great job, C When.

Chapter 24- Poetry Prompt 15- Missing You
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 24- Poetry Prompt 15- Missing You
C'est l'amour, that ache... Hope he hurries home. As always Gary, splendidly said... -
Well then.. :-( I wonder why they didn't consider university for Levi. People might have looked less at what their relationship was if he was studying. Then they could have moved every four years instead of every other. That must have been terrible for them both. I love that George didn't care though. And the watch, I fully understand Levi's reaction to losing it now.. That was a lovely chapter Puppilull, but it reminds us that time isn't standing still for George.. Sigh!

Sad. Even though we had ideas about who Kel was to Jenson, the confirmation of just how close was still hard to read. That must have been so hard on J. Now to find out why exactly he was that way. I suspect the reason why has a big part to play in J keeping himself distant from Merrick. It will be interesting to see how Merrick handles knowing the truth. Straddling that line between being a friend while wanting to be so much more. Hopefully Jenson gives a little. I guess being together as they are could have its benefits. I am equally excited to get Audra's story. She is fascinating to me. Loved the chapter Lit, and I'm not chirping, I'm squawking for more..

Aww... Ian was holding court. Being all confident and charming and managing to scare Miles for a moment. Blossoming indeed! This was great SkinnyD.
-
I missed this one?! The moment Ian fully realises what he has in Miles, and that he wasted precious time waiting for Miles to act like Markey cannot come soon enough. Miles is amazing and patient and so in love with Ian. He's the real deal.

Home and Cold: Two Poems
Defiance19 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Home and Cold: Two Poems
All the senses come alive in Cold. Very sharp imagery. For me, it's the crocus that tells the coming of spring. That image made me smile. Home was sublime. Four lines, simple maybe, but they told everything. Powerful. Absolutely love them both Tim.. -
Devyn and Michael! So nice to see them.. I really like how the shorts reintroduces these characters. It's good knowing they're getting on with life in a much happier place. That was great CM
