Week Seven Sunday October 19, 2014: The Day to Remember
Defiance19 commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Seven Sunday October 19, 2014: The Day to Remember
Whoa! Can I just hug David too. We knew it was coming and Ginny was being her brilliant self letting it happen this way. How well she knows David.. I knew I didn't want to underestimate Twoey. He handled the news so well, I was worried for nothing. What I did think, was partly true, that he would be worried about being able to help David. And David. What a much needed meltdown, but there was no denial in his feelings for Twoey. I hate that for David it's not clean and clear cut. It would be with Tommy, his dad, gramps and his sister even, but I believe that without Tommy's mother, he would not be this afraid. Unsure maybe, but this kid's fear has him spiraling, and he knows just what is triggering it. My intense dislike for Tommy's mother just shot up a notch, because I just know the evil Enos is the one who's been in his bedroom. Frikkin exorcism. Can we please exorcise her! And now we wait for David to work through his emotions, Twoey to come home, the boys getting back together. It will be almost impossible for Twoey and David going to hide that connection! So, so good SkinnyD! Thank you.. -
Chapter 41 Back to School
Defiance19 commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 41 Back to School
There was so much good stuff going on, I didn't want this chapter to end. The skating, the snowball fight, the swim meet and Zander's grin knowing Andy would be there. It all had me smiling big for them. Kaz and Terry, who may have an inkling as to what's what, are good friends to Zander. Keep Mary Ellen at bay.. Zander and Andy, thrown off by the miscues, remain unaware they share the same feelings. Yet they are growing closer, playful and Andy is ever trusting of Zander. There is that draw toward each other, be it hesitant at best. I love seeing the potential of who Andy can become. Loved it Parker, if you couldn't tell... -
What a chapter! So intense and exciting! Diarmand and Noel, no, Lord Noel are finally fully mated! The holly and the ivy revealed, and all the sweet stolen moments in between, before all hell broke loose. It was great the way Noel's powers evolved. Moira met a fitting end. It was a pleasure to see McGills people defect. Awesome chapter Adi, I'm so glad there are other books to follow!

Funny that Toph was giving Gary 'dress for the effect' advice. Something that probably is bred in him from his past life. I could speculate about the woman at work, but I'll wait and see. Also interesting, Nico. He sent Niles to look for Toph. Who is Niles btw? So contrary to what Toph thought, Nico probably did care about him. Makes you wonder who else did, that he didn't allow himself to see. Loved getting to to know tha folks of New Glory, and the little details that make up life there. You are an artist, so it's not surprising that you captured beautifully, the awe as Toph viewed the paintings and photographs. You also managed to make feel like I was seeing it too. The dinner was wonderful. Toph definitely is more at ease here than he was with his other 'friends'. Now that he is visible, does that mean Toph will stop distancing himself from himself? Great chapter SkinnyD! Thank you.

There is joy in these vignettes, but there is so much sadness. It didn't diminish from the story though, if anything I thought it made it stronger. The shared moments are easily realatable and maybe that's what makes such an impact. Thank you for sharing this Brian..

Chapter 40 Into the New Year
Defiance19 commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 40 Into the New Year
A new year began, and Andy consciously chooses to turn back and head into town. He's not running anymore. I don't even know how to feel about that. I mean I'm ecstatic, but I know unpleasantness is coming. I must say, I'm disappointed that Zander and Kaz too, left Andy on his own. Zander could have easily invited him downstairs to at least watch them play. His awkwardness not withstanding, he still is the 'new kid' in town. But teens are sometimes shortsighted I guess. You did a great job showing Andy's discomfort and emotions as he tried to navigate through the party, an then seeing Zander interact with that girl. It was also nice to see the grown ups in a social setting! A fantastic chapter, Parker! Thank you.. -
This was interesting, and yes, a tad confusing. The innocence in the wonder of children is most definitely a magical thing! To that I will agree.. Thank you for your story!

Ohh, this was so good. Jude needed so much more than just that moment with Tanner. Hopefully it shook him up enough to make him start living again.. At least he did have a fun night! Thank you for a great story!

Hmmm. This was a tough one. Not the story, which was good. I just don't know how forgiving I could have been. But I guess being in love and having Sayed as incentive is a great motivator. Nicely told story.. Thank you.

Wonderful story. Mom's realisation that her son's happiness was what she wanted and all that really mattered, mmade it even more meaningful. Bonus, he may have someone to love too. Lovely story.. Thank you.
-
Such a sweet story... And yes, I would love to have these elves too! Well done, thank you!
-
Really good story! Thomas could have easily missed out on a good thing because he was too busy being judge and hiding behind his own feelings. I'm glad Eric's persistence and patience worked out for the best. It was really sweet how they pulled it together. I enjoyed this.. Thank you.

I felt the tension through this story as well as the despair in Darren. Finding Elliot again after what they'd both been through was so satisfying. The ending was truly a Christmas miracle. Oh and Wally totally got his due! Great story...Thank you..
-
That was a perfect ending for Phillips and Father Christopher.. I'm so happy it worked out that way, for a moment there I was worried it would be all sad.. Lovely story.
-
I was fully engaged. The gear, the cold, the ice, the climb. We're off to find Santa.. All wonderfully told. Then it went sideways! Knowing this guy was not of sound mind, I still wasn't expecting that ending.
-
That was amazing, and awkward and funny and romantic. Like Tim, I didn't want it to end. Lovely story, well done!

Love happens in the most unlikely ways.. Good for Morgan and Wil, and sweet that Morgan didn't or couldn't leave him alone at Christmas. Lovely story, Thank you.

Poetry Prompt 16 - Carol - An Early Gift
Defiance19 commented on Aditus's story chapter in Poetry Prompt 16 - Carol - An Early Gift
That was not at all crazy, it was great! There are plenty of little ones in my family so that naughty peeping sounds about right! -
Wonderful story.. Definitely felt that air of mysticism reading it, and what a beautiful way to celebrate Yuletide. Very well done.

Smart buggers those Flauros. The tension flowed just right through those first scenes. I was right there with the misdirection and race back back to camp. Well done. Merrick shouldn't be too hard on himself, but I guess I understand why he feels like it's his fault. The Flauros are nothing like what they've dealt with before, and when Jenson finds out that the Alectarians are responsible, I hate to think of what he'll do.

I liked how Richard's idea fit right into the Secret Santa theme. In the end it worked out great for the Brady men, and I couldn't help but feel even happier for Richard. There's so much more to tell within the story, if you ever felt inclined, but this was great! Well done.
-
I liked the erotic build up with the notes. The story itself was very well written, but the end made me feel sort of sad when I probably shouldn't. I hope for more for them.. Good job!

Do we get to see more of you if we keep it up! And by more I mean your handsome face!

A twist, and then a twist again. Jack should have told Eugene even as I understand why he didn't. Nine years though! It must be love. Eugene is a very patient man. I'm glad it worked out for him and Jack in the end.
