Great short story, Lit.. I totally enjoyed it. I could ‘arrange’ an accidental slip in front of Murphy’s Pub, but somehow I don’t think I’d have the same results.. *sighs* Glad to hear it’s helped with the block. Look forward to more... soonish?

Great chapter, Val.. Galen is coming along and his attachment to Josh is not so unnatural. Josh probably feels right to him to. Though it works now, ultimately it won’t be healthy for either of them. I like the doctor’s approach. It will be interesting to see though, how in time he will ween Galen from Josh and have him gain back his sense of self.

My first day teaching, (8yr olds) I had all these brilliant ideas and plans, and I just knew I was going to win over those kids. Basically I went in knowing it all and I was going to slay. My view was completely different from theirs, and we had to adjust. Andy is ill prepared, he’s young and he didn’t pay attention. I’m betting he thought how hard would it be to help and old man. Yet, had he paid better attention it would have gone slightly different for the old man in question.. Eric broke my heart. I wanted this for him as much as he did for himself. Hopefully, they find a way.

The job of the teacher, staff or aide is to make sure that the student has everything they need in order to perform at their best level. Giving out the answers is cheating. It cheats the child, the staff and the system that is put in place. We teachers rely on the results of those test scores, and they figure into structuring the goals that need to be met. If a child is testing high then the level of care can fall short if we don’t have the whole picture. Not all these kids who need help have associated behavioral problems, so if an IEP shows improvement why should we keep a service. The goal is to enrich the child so they can develop the skills they struggle with. It’s a complete disservice to hand out answers.

Call and response.. I like that, and it works extremely well in this poem. Just as there’s the commanding, yet gentle strength in your words, there’s the reverence or obeisance in tim’s. It is beautiful, confident, and sure. Once again I am in awe, gentlemen. Well done, Mac and tim..

Uh oh! Of course there’s bound to be conflict on the ship right? Star Trek never managed an episode .. 🤷♀️ No good vibes from Ss’merit. Can’t wait to find out why.. Getting up and about is good for Kohen.. though his uneasily leaves me wary.

I can see how NY could be stifling for Ryan.. Wait till Erik figures out why he doesn’t feel settled there either. I love the pacing. The connection is there, they may each want the same thing, but what it all means takes time. Mum going to enjoy watching them figure it out, mostly because you excel at giving us just the right amount without dragging it through. Chloe- adorable...

Welcome back! Glad to see the guys both seemingly doing well. I was kind of surprised that Erik came on so strong right away. Ryan was holding back, you could tell. But Ryan explained, at least part of it, and now we wait to see where it leads. Their past has not left them unaffected.. can’t wait!

Poor Kohen. This is torment. It was hard not to get swept up in his emotional state. To think/know that you are capable of such horrors, and could still very well be manipulated. Good going Cia. Does the Captain know more than he lets on? Is he right about the other prisoners? So much to uncover.
