Muslin is made from cotton and is light weight and breathable.
  2. drpaladin
Muslin derives from the Arabic word mawṣilī meaning of Mosul (Iraq).

I recall what he had done to the fire elemental. Kasar isn't a pleasant host.

But Kasar couldn't know they were coming unless they were under constant deep surveillance while at the castle.

Now the not enlightening comment makes sense. Huntington has taken some extraordinary precautions. Was this defense technological or fae? I hope Caleb escaped. No one knows where they were going.

Perhaps none of them are obsessed with picture taking. I can well imagine all of Devin's family going out of their way to avoid being in photos.

Normally when I think of croquet, I envision a group of well dressed escapees from an Agatha Christie novel.
  12. drpaladin
Croquet has nothing to do with croquette, a roll of breaded vegetables or meat deep fried.

I thought it was or at least implied. I've made the suggestion with attributions.

It hasn't hit Mac yet, but barring any violent attacks or accidents he's going to be around for hundreds of years and he'll see all the people he knows die except his fellow skinwalkers. Any time he spends with his parents will be precious.

It's one of the 'don't skip a step' things.' No big issues unless you do.

Well, they could have dodged that one with the obvious excuses of not risking them on the water and no cell coverage, so they didn't use them.

    Chapter 7

drpaladin commented on Roland's story chapter in Chapter 7

Our travelers still have secrets to keep, at least until they are more certain of their new companions. There are so many things which they see as commonplace which are now extraordinary in this time. It is a good thing they are used to life around a court because it necessitates a skill in obfuscation. They are so fortunate their first good encounter was with such a trustworthy group. Killian has seen through Garnet's disguise without knowing what he has seen. It makes me wonder what he would sense with Xavier who would be much more than all of them. Madelyn learning Bruin can speak and might be trainable is earthshattering. It will add a new and deeper dimension to their bond.

The vacation time Mac's parents had set gave them the advantage of being alone to practice Mac's changing into birds. Have they practiced altering individual areas of the body g et, like stronger arms or legs? Can skinwalkers enhance certain senses while in human form without completely altering form?

When confronted by the unexplained, the mystical becomes one of the easy solutions.

Luke is just a variation of Lucas. There is probably a reason we may learn in time.

Yes, but name someone who lives in a tomb.
  24. drpaladin
You do know the Taj Mahal is a tomb?

Now the question arises, did Vincent teach him how to build stairs too?
