Werewolf /vampire/part vampire pairings seem to a little more common , are the makers of the Khonsu stones getting it right? A Sylph , just what Viktor needs to blow away the dreary dust of centuries . Especially a nice , wholesome , workaholic prudish one to keep him on his toes .

Grembal presents as almost reptilian and dangerous , I hope that Kirra fills Styx in on dynamic before they meet Grembal again . Lady Veil and Lady Alsha’s assessment of the reaction of the citizens of Pentalus to an armed incursion by the Knights is an indictment of how poorly the city is governed and how badly the governors are perceived . Neredos seems rather vainglorious and shallow, slating Grim , ignoring Prism and overlooking the indictment in the two ladies assessment of the populace’s reactions . Not to mention all the gold and diamonds !

Drake’s appreciations/ apprehensions surrounding Jimmy-Dean seem to fluctuate , each reaction getting a little more extreme and erratic! His unconscious body language though leans towards a need for support and an expression of attraction . I get the impression Preston smells a rat and Callie has seen it ! -
I’d say the visitor is unexpected, they quite rudely interrupted the boys pre-pounce ! Damn them !

Gosh , Nolan’s naïveté is too precious ! Not going to last long though , not with Elias lusting after him and Jany directing the .. um ... activities. Now that the stone is complete , I’m certain the temple is aware of it . I wouldn’t put it past the priestess to send a minion to check and confirm.

I don’t trust Devin not to out Kevin to his parents when he has to explain his expulsion from the team. Is Paul going to out the 4 boys or realise he has allies? I suppose that depends on just how much influence Devin has over Paul. I don’t feel sorry for Ashley at all , though it’s going to be hard on her to live down her new reputation whereas Devin may well be regarded as a bit of a stud at the same time .

One would assume that the Haners , especially mum and Teddy , would be a lot more organised. Ryder really shows how much he had grown up. No problem with his heart now !

I do find it odd that the police statement from Mr Patel differs so widely from what he testifies to in court . Judicious questioning on those discrepancies could put a serious dent in his credibility as a witness , on the one hand or show police collusion/ interference on the other. I find this act/ omission quite disturbing .

Quite the gathering of unusual allies , each with an agenda that fit roughly at this stage. Only Grimm , and to a lesser degree Maxthane understand the enormity of what they will soon face . Dogo seems to be a man of many secrets.

Your telling of it makes the gamut of Eric’s feelings tangible ,in fact quite visceral! Andy and Adams relationship is solid and a good example for Eric . I’m glad he felt some measure of inclusion .

There are no ‘ patient eyes ‘ where your poetry is concerned , but eyes that brimmed , glistened and sparkled as they absorbed your verse . Your recumbent pen will create a deafening and desolate silence.

In the earlier chapters , I didn’t get that Kevin and Devin were that close , and yet everyone seems to think so. I am beginning to feel that Devin resents Kevin a little . I hope Devin is careful or too much playing with an uncovered little Devin may well result in a little Devin . Ashley doesn’t seem to be the careful type. It’s amazing how true friends are found in the strangest of situations and places!

Two or three times now it has been mentioned that the Mercedes had been in for repairs that day ! Yet it does not seem like either attorney has investigated what repairs and how they may have impacted on the functioning of the vehicle . I wonder if this will be canvassed in this trial?

Finally ! A connection , a meaningful , meditated physical connection that is not clouded by Kohen's fear of external manipulation . A bold move for Kohen .

Really interesting , under our laws , even though Doug may on a balance of probabilities prove he was the passenger , he still would not have a claim for compensation . ‘ Volenti non fit injuria’ (to a willing person injury is not done) , a person who willingly placed themselves in a situation where harm may result, knowing that to some degree that the harm may occur , is precluded from claiming compensation. A rather onerous assumption of risk. Most of our precedent involves passengers getting into vehicles with obviously drunk drivers .

Trial prep is so much more than just knowing your case , very often physical appearance and attitude does more to unsettle your opponent than most people realise .
