  1. Thank you, Def. There is a great satisfaction in using mathematical language this way. I am glad you smiled at them, too.
  2. Happy Epiphany, Emi.
  3. Thank you, Gary. No apologies needed. I am glad these diverted you when you were feeling sick. That you followed them even so makes me smile all the wider. Your poetic response is delightful. Blessings and hopes for a swift recovery.
  4. Thank you, Dugh. I hope the words resolve themselves, eventually.

    Chapter 1

Thank you! I am so glad these people and their story appealed to you!

    Two's a couple

In a very direct and simple way, you describe an enormously important step in Geoff and Tony's lives. As self conscious and easily embarrassed as Geoff can be, they still support one another, look for one another - and are plainly a couple, for those who will watch. There is even a semi public kiss. It sets them on a new road to something deeper and happier. Now if only Geoff could face his mother...
  7. Sometimes, I really do sense patterns and shapes as I write. Or maybe it's the sense of a particular pattern that suggests what to say. I'm glad the math in the first one appealed to your sense. In the second, you're right - it's a nerdy kind of fun to suggest one could quantify something that really can't be measured, which is love itself. Thank you for your kind and very generous words today.
  8. Thank you for being beguiled. I am glad you let a little mathematical language play its sweet music.
  9. Thank you for letting me start your day with a bit of math!
  10. Odd and Even An even is divisible by two, but odds are not so easily defined, for some divide, but others are inclined to make it hard their factors to review. To beat the odds, one often has to stew on mooted lists of numbers just to find one's arithmetic stars are misaligned and so the process starts again anew. A sum of digits helps with nine and three, while rules for five were known from ancient time and checking seven makes one want to flee thoug
  11. Happy Birthday, Krista. Hope the day is wonderful.

    My Fear

This is a fantastic poem. I love the way you have two lines of fear at the beginning and the end, to tie the whole thing together. And in between, your description of emotion and confusion leaves the reader stirred and unsettled. Excellent.
  13. You aced this prompt. I need tissues. Lots of them.
  14. These are both lovely; through you, we all greet a special friend. And in your second poem, you help me respond to situations and circumstances which often conspire to keep me from putting pen to paper. Thank you for sharing these.
  15. I sing a Happy Birthday song to Dugh, our friend both kind and strong, and wish him every splendid joy with every note I can employ. Happy Birthday!
  16. That’s tough...there are several I like...I have to choose just one?

    Chapter 1

I know it took me far too long to find this story, but I loved it in January just as much as I would have in October. You capture a wonderful episode in Diego and Cairo’s lives.
  18. Thanks to @asamvav111 for his generous mention. tim is absolutely right about following the poetry writing prompts in order; they are immensely helpful. tim also wrote something incredibly wise: I could not agree more. Thank you for this feature, Carlos!

    Chapter 12

You depict Kohen’s brokenness terribly well in this chapter. He cannot connect wholly to his past, or to his current reality. Meanwhile, he pushes away those who mean to rescue him. It makes the heart cry.

    Chapter 1

Thank you. Your words are encouraging enough to light up a new year’s worth of sky. These characters are fun to imagine and play with.
  21. Happy New Year! May 2018 see you happy and well and blessed.
  22. Hugs. Always.

    For Sir

Number 1 speaks to the mind, while number 2 speaks of the interior, at least to me. The final line of number 2 simply made the sun come out in my heart.
  24. By turns heartfelt and intriguing and a bit warm, these poems will make readers think and smile.

    Virgin Tundra

I quite agree with tim. These are both quite lovely. If they warm the reader up, I see no problem...
