  1. The first portion of the poem has such jarring images - seeping hemorrhages, such a deadly thought. It colors the rest in melancholy.
  2. I quite agree, especially on pink pickles.
  3. No, do not invite ‘never’ to your lips. Perhaps Jack is the decision you’ve always needed to make.
  4. This is another compact and telling poem. Well done.
  5. I very much like this. A whole story is written in these lines.

    A Seed

Yes. A new seed, a new season.
  7. I like this poem, even with its heartbreak. The scars will take even longer to heal this time, won’t they?

    Winter Barren

This is a very pleasant poem to read and consider.

    Winter

“...so the land dreams...”. I love this particular image. It is exactly as I think of it. Thanks for this lovely poem.
  10. Cheers in return! I raise my glass to you, and add a log to the fire.

    Chapter 1

That’s immensely kind of you to say so. It was good holiday cheer. I am glad you liked it.
  12. I read this, listening and thinking. An article provoked you to write something with deep meaning for those who will take time to absorb and hear it. Your words tear down walls of misinformation.
  13. True. Several ran through my head in writing this. I’m glad this brought them to your mind, too.

    Chapter 1

I’m happy you were taken unawares, as Beau was. Harold Nordsen will possibly keep the dog, and maybe thereby another tale (or tail) will hang. Or not. Thank you for your encouraging comments!
  15. Thanks very much. The days lengthen ever so slowly, but surely.
  16. Thank you! And now the days get longer, slowly, slowly...
  17. Thank you, Moggy. Of course you may. I sent it with my few holiday cards this year, too.
  18. Thank you
  19. Now comes the deepest darkness of the year, when Selene reigns longest, chill and cold; the stars forget to tread their dance of old, and sunlight is reluctant to appear. Behold the whited snowscape, most austere, the subtle covered over with the bold, as late the autumn colors once foretold, dark blackness coming earlier and near. So here before a merry crackling flame may we the longest evening spend at play; in mirth and friendship let us now reclaim the light and joy of

    Chapter 11

Oh, this gets increasingly interesting. Bits of brain missing - what happens when those bits of self disappear? Replaced by micro machinery and unique genetic material, how will their absence play into the state of the rest of Kohen’s mind? Fascinating.

    Chapter 1

Thank you; your comment means a lot to me.

    Chapter 1

Thank you so much! Beau and George will certainly keep that town warm, I suspect. And I would be glad to send you some of my own snow, if you like.
  23. Wow. What a powerful love that must have been. You put it so beautifully. Thank you, very much!

    Chapter 1

Whoa! That accusation would have ruined many a relationship. What a patient and forgiving - and loving - individual it takes to skate right past it. Thank you for this present.

    Blue Christmas

You wrote a beautiful and powerful story in this. It brought me some tears, but great joy, too. Thank you.
