    Mated

I really enjoyed helping Scott acquire two and three dimensions as a character. And as he and Graham have become so real to us, perhaps they have found a place in a parallel reality as you suggest. It gives me some pleasure to think so. Most importantly, Scott's tale can give us hope that we might all be able to manage redemption when or if we need to. Thanks again for reading, and for your wonderful comments.

    Big smiles!

    Death

Arresting, forceful images make the reader pay attention and focus. Really well done.

    Fool Me Once

I'm glad you liked Oliver. He's a lovely archetype, and I'm sure he'd like another chance with a Martin.

    Fool Me Once

I blush at your kind remarks. Plenty of anxiety and attraction to go around. And poor Martin, having Oliver flee his apartment...

    Fool Me Once

Your "pretty cool" was so kind and generous. Oliver just got so rushed, he didn't realize...and the walk? Well, that was Martin's idea...

    Fool Me Once

    Glad you liked it!
  8. I think this little vignette is a gem. You tell us so much in so few words. Economy and elegance in one package.
  9. Great story...it packs a sharp punch. Fantastic.

An interesting snippet. But now I want to know how he knows...

    Chapter 2

Very touching, very beautiful. I like David. And maybe so does Billy.
  12. This is an interesting beginning. Did you find a reader?
  13. I am sorry April 6 brought you pain, but the experience of sorrow comes to us in many places. Can I say I liked April 1 better?
  14. I am always enchanted by returning birds of all varieties. The shoveler ducks are especially fun to watch, and their poem felt most like my connection to their experience.
  15. Thank you, my friend. I hope my words did not bring you pain.
  16. You are right in that it's hard to remain upbeat in the face of a major health episode. But the quiet times of observation and reflection help build reserves that let us care and support the ones we love.
  17. To share may also be to connect; to reflect can also be to absorb from others. I am in awe if those who must bear the pain, and those who spend the hours in healing, in caring, and in bringing compassionate cheer. Thank you for your encouragement.
  18. Thank you for reading this. It is a very hard situation, a difficult place to be in. But you are right to call attention to life's great gifts and blessings.
  19. I'm glad you could see it, as I did. It's hardly impeccable, but it is true. It's just been difficult.
  20. I sit here at my Mother's bedside. She is terribly weak, needs to eat, but finds it is very hard to do. The hospital food does not make the task easier. We two amused ourselves by watching YouTube clips of Victor Borge, whom she very much enjoyed, and I fear I have lulled her to sleep with the sound of my voice, reading an online novel by W. Somerset Maugham. I could not find a 'cheery' book, as she wanted, but then, she had no suggestions, either, being tired out by the work
  21. Thank you for reading Andy's journal, and learning his story. I am glad it meant much to you, and I hope you will find it worth reading again and again.
  22. I am so very grateful you took the time to read these. These observations helped make some sense of the surreal experiences...
  23. Thank you very much for looking at these items which marked my days. Your thoughts are much appreciated.
  24. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your kind hopes and wishes.

    Chapter 1

I cannot help but agree with the sentiment in this poem. I feel this every day.
