    Chapter 30

I took a peek at chapter one. You were right, of course being the author you should be. I forgot about Lou. Between not being asked back to fish and losing Glen to Kevin, he would have a reason to want to get even. Hmmm. It looks like Andy will fit right in! Especially if the mermaids take a shine to him! 😷🤭😊🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

    Chapter 28

I don't remember a character that might be a good villain. I am also wondering who might be messing with the boat. Maybe Kevin and Glen will need to apply for a boys' home license. 😷😉 Still lovin' this story! Thanks.

    Chapter 26

I haven't been commenting after each chapter, so it seemed like time to tell you again how much I am enjoying these characters and their story! I get excited every time I see a new chapter has posted! Thanks.

    Chapter 23

This continues to be a wonderful story! I really like Kevin, Glen, and all the boys. The fishing boat is turning into a great experience for everyone! I think even Uncle is having a great time with the "landlubbers." I like the way Kevin, with Glen's help and support, is becoming a guardian angel to all the boys. Thanks.

    Miles

I have missed Caesar and Brett in your more recent stories. Sure, they make appearances, but it is fun to read a story where they are center stage. Thanks.
  6. If you have read any of Carlos' other stories, you know this will be a good read. I think he has used his ability to create believable characters with realistic dialogue to make this a most interesting story. Mixing up the legend of Atlantis with werewolves was a clever idea! You may be surprised by where this story is going. I highly recommend this story and encourage you to watch for the second installment coming this fall (I think). You should also read Chris' review. He made some very good points about this story!

    Departure

As a fan of mythology this story really appealed to me! It is a bit of a departure for you, but your ability to tell a tale shone through. Also your talent with characters and dialogue were put to good use. Thanks for this very enjoyable interpretation of the Atlantean story!

    Chapter 25

A five chapter binge has gotten me caught up. Boy, a lot has happened since the car wreck! Jack and the people around him are having to deal with his sexuality. It is interesting to see the many different reactions! I was trying to decide if Jimmy's latest "reaction" is a surprise. I am thinking maybe not. One of the hospital staff remarked that Jack had a lot of support. He doesn't seem to feel that way, but maybe he is starting to realize it's true. Thanks.

    Chapter 4

Still lots of questions with no answers, so far. However, I am really enjoying getting to know Genevieve and Midge! They are quite a pair and a lot of fun! This party was bizarre to say the least. I am getting into this story and can't wait for more! Thanks.

    Family

This was a great ending "to this part of the story" It was perfect for Harlan and Bailey! It was great to visit with Corbin, if only briefly. Now about this story, it is time to drag out my bag of superlatives one last time, at least until the next story. Overall writing, including characters, dialogue, setting, and plot, rates five stars (out of 5). Thank you for the pleasure I received reading this and the other "Camp Refuge" stories.

    Growth

What a great program for kids on the spectrum! They come to college when there are fewer students, and have the experience of a class and other activities. Then come the fall, they are coming back to something they know and not a new and possibly frightening experience. And Noah never ceases to amaze me! I don't know that he is my favorite of all your characters. You have created several special ones. But Noah is definitely in the top five! You have done a tremendous job writing Noah. In spite of being a retired schoolteacher, I have a limited experience with students on the spectrum. You have made Noah very real to me. He has the strengths and weaknesses of atypical as I understand them. He and his atypical friends are not cardboard cutouts, you have fleshed them out to be very real people. Thanks.

    Epilogue

This story started out good and got better with every chapter! The characters were annoying, and engaging, and a lot of fun to get to know! I liked the way the plot progressed, and when both dads got involved it was crazy, in the best way! This story was a pleasure to read! The characters, dialogue, and descriptions were all well written! I will be watching for another story by you. Thanks.

    Chapter 15

I just binged five chapters to catch up. I am really enjoying this story! I love Kevin and Glen, and I love their interactions with the other characters! Nicky, Peter, Charles, Grandmother, and Uncle are all interesting and special! It seems like Kevin's boat is one more character in creating this "family." I am excited to see how this young crew gets on! Thanks for sharing this terrific story!

    Chapter 3

Sawyer and Jada are an interesting couple. This chapter was most interesting, and it raises a lot of questions. You have given no real clues to Sawyer's past. It sounds like something made big changes in his life. I am also curious how Sawyer and Jimmy will cross paths. Your writing has created an intriguing set up. I am anxious to read more! It's still Wednesday, and I am already ready for next Wednesday's chapter! 😷😄 Thanks for sharing this story!

    Save Them

I really like Billy, but it is hard to read about him being abused. It is even harder without knowing why it is happening. And now you've added a little "magic" into the mix. I can't wait to see what's next. Thanks.
  16. In spite of the sadness caused by Noah and Sky going to different colleges, this was a fun chapter! Graduation, new summer job, and visiting the college were all positive adventures for Noah. He is blessed to have such a supportive network of people, especially his dads! Thanks.

    TA-Epilogue

Why you sneaky little so and so... 😷😉 What a delightful surprise! Great story and a good ending! Even better when you add the epilogue! Your writing was first rate throughout the story! I love these characters, and will be happy to read more about them if you decide to revisit any of them. Thanks

    New Year's Eve

It was great to visit and catch up with the dads! They have been kind of secondary characters after they started the whole thing by inviting CJ to live with them. It will be fun to spend some time with them! Of course it is your writing, characters, and dialogue, so we all know it will be great! Thanks.

    Chapter Nine

In spite of some of the grisly contents, I liked this story. Part of it was due to Corey. He was a very likeable character, and I wanted things to end well for him. Your ending seemed a bit abrupt, but I imagine Sebastian will be in a mental illness facility for a long time. Corey will get counseling, and with his positivity, he will recover from his torture by Sebastian, and find a nice boyfriend. Thanks.

    Chapter 23

Another great chapter! I'm sure things are somewhat idealized, but this story rings true about life in a village. I have lived my adult life in a small town. Although it has grown, and there are some "bad" people, the caring and sharing are often true. Thanks.

    Chapter 19

What a pleasant chapter. There was the sadness of Gramps' death, but otherwise life is moving forward. It sounds like Stephen's and Nor's life together has been good. It was great to have Jeppe stop by so we could all catch up. Thanks.

    Thanksgiving

What a happy chapter! Even Harlan's doubts couldn't put a damper on things. I loved Bailey's comment when Harlan said he shouldn't love him: it's not your choice. And I really loved Gary's teasing about the rolled up magazine! I won't ask where that idea came from. 😷😄😄😄 Don't forget what I have said before about your characters, dialogue, and story. Your writing just continues to get better! Part of the joy of this chapter is all these people, most not related, getting together and enjoying a "family" event. Thanks.

    That Summer

Great chapter! April confessed, several things got settled, and it sounds like Jett and April are on their way to HEA! I am feeling like the end is near, and I must say this had been a fun read! Your characters are all terrific! Whatever comes next, I have really enjoyed this story! Thanks.

    Trust

This was a really good chapter! For Bailey and Harlan, and for Huck and Rayne and Elias, the trust is growing. I think they all know how fortunate they are to have discovered Camp Refuge. The people there can and have helped them all to grow. What a great bunch of characters! Thanks.
  25. I am kind of between stories and decided to read one of yours. I think this is my third time reading "Cowboy Summer." You have a way of creating characters that makes them very appealing! I rooted for Rhyder throughout the story, even though I knew what was happening next. In my opinion, your other great talent is writing dialogue! Your characters' words sound real, never stilted or artificial. I am thankful you share your stories. You are, without a doubt, one of my favorite GA. Thanks.
