I tip my hat to you on that one. I would not be able to resist the temptation with one of Bill's works of art ..... mostly because he has the habit of creating questions and then dropping something 6 chapters later so that the off the cuff comment or statement in chapter 2 now makes perfect sense.

Night auditor for a hotel. Some days I miss food service. But then I remember hungry "Karens" are worse than regular ones. That reminds me, for every 10 deliveries to my hotel, I get a free medium pizza from you. Bring me food and I'll let ya sneak into the hot tub 😁😁😁

I feel ya there. One of these days my boss is gonna bust me for reading at work. At least I only see her once every few weeks. One of the few perks to overnights 😁😁

That's it, dog house, now. You're grounded mister. 😭😁😢😁😳😳😳 Pulling my heart strings like that, and leaving us poor defenseless readers in mild anticipation. I do honestly wonder though, with all of the gentle warnings Greg has received if he is going to be forced to claim a territory. I'm sure all the nobles that we've been introduced understand the reason for keeping him unseated so far. I don't see all the nobles keeping out the fantasy of being the victim to a coup. An unseated baron gaining in physical and political power could be a very real threat. Like my grandma always said, there is no kiddie pool to life, it's all deep end. Once you're in for a penny, you're in for a pound.

Yup, my head is spinning trying to keep track. All I know is it sounds like you're gearing up for a big yank on the heart strings. If the next chapter gets me emotional I'm so throwing you in the dog house. But all serious great build up. Does anyone one have any nails I can bite? Mine are already down to the cuticles from the anticipation. Dang flabbed artists and cliffs.

Holy wow, now that one takes me back to when I use to work at The 90's. Went back a few years ago, place hasn't changed much. I did leave after an hour wondering how the heck my body and head could tolerate the place for as long as it did.

There was no snow in June? I'm guessing it was southern wisconsin or a fluke year then 😝😝😝 At least on the plus side, no matter how long your personal winter is your art is definitely leaving a mark that I hope lasts through at least the next generation. -

Well now that was an interesting end to the chapter I wasn't expecting. I must say Baron Pittsburgh is definitely an interesting chap for sure. The way you describe his behaviors, I can't help but wonder if George is more behind his decisions than one would think. Gareth seems way to well placed into a position to teach a crash course in vampire politics.

Am I the only one wondering what kind of role Alex is gonna play in the future? I mean an artist doesn't normally give that much detail to a walk on. I loved the turn of events in this chapter. Although I really should work on fully enjoying the story and quit trying to get ahead of the artist creating it 😁😝😁 Great work on this one. I will never grow tired of how well you can keep a story moving. I will also never get tired of your writing style almost always making me think of Anne McCaffrey. You keep this up and I'm gonna start begging for a hard cover copy. No dog house for you .... this time. 😝😝

Omg, that would be so adorable though. I mean it can't be too scary, look at king julian. I'd be stuck with the song "I like to move it" stuck in my head for life.

I love views like this. Science doesn't help. One of the oldest hominid species had a brain smaller than a birds by comparison, and the dig site proved they had language and religion .... is an opposable thumb really the only thing stopping animals?

Just my 2 cents, asides from the love and heebeejeebee's from the post. Loved ones from the other side communicate with us constantly. Alive or dead, we are made of energy. And yes, the human body, and a non living human spirit, can pass enough energy to charge up a battery/small light for a few moments. Being a skeptic myself, I have seen way too much with my own eyes to not believe that was someone communicating. On my off time I do investigate happenings like this for people, as well as do tarot readings. So if you wanna reach out and talk about this incident, or others, feel free.
