In the pale, early light of a winter's morning, Geoff stared glumly at the rack of hangers in his wardrobe. Usually, clothes weren't something that he worried about. Change and uncertainty can seem worse than accepting the truth. Clutching to what is known can seem safer than launching once more into the unknown. The fact that passing through hard truths might lead to a better you and a better life is understandably difficult. Frightening, almost. for you as you make that journey, my friend. -
Geoff has a lot of me (magnified somewhat, admittedly) so I know what I'm writing about. I'm pleased you like my leading pair and I hope they continue to intrigue you.

Helen was only a side character in the original prompts, but I've promoted her. She's a character I like. Geoff enjoys his food but I don't see him as a whizz in the kitchen somehow. Thanks, Tim.

The more I see of haibuns, the more I like them. The flexibility of prose and verse combined is very attractive, and draws me in closer. I too, love waiting quietly for nature to show me her surprises. Great work, tim.
