I've been getting this on my tablet and my laptop, neither of which have any sort of ad-blocker at all. Both run Chrome, on Android or Windows. As BHopper2 says, I see probably all the other commercial advertising. I wouldn't dream of blocking them.

@droughtquake Yes, if you're self-effacing or you don't say a huge amount, people can assume sometimes that you're a doormat. Not that Tony does - rather, he was taken aback by a facet of Geoff he hadn't seen before. It gives Geoff more leverage within the relationship, I think. Thanks for continuing to read and comment.

@Puppilull Absolutely right. I work somewhere that has occasional outbursts of this sort. Our demon has to get to RA first. Maybe that's where they'll meet again ...

Tommie Hunt grimaced as he approached a group of damned one morning. He could hear an argument going on, loud voices, wagging fingers, with the accompanying red faces. It was the latest of many, following on from the formation of G2 . Any management demon hoping that the integration of the two groups had been smooth and painless, was on a hiding to nothing. Tommie looked on, as the current disagreement continued. Greed and Gluttony – weren't they close enough to allow all the damned to get on? H

Looking through prompts in the prompts forum, I filtered my search to only include first line prompts. This produced the correct response but when I started to move around the pages I got the following error message: Laptop using Windows latest version with Chrome, latest version. I've done this search before without then getting this error message.

This story is a blast. It has everything - romance, humour, hockey, apps, and the odd cliffhanger. Can anyone really fit so much into one day? Who cares. It was a joy to read - making me happy, sad, angry in turns. The writing is excellent, drawing you in at every opportunity. One to be re-read.

Alternate Reality and Companion

I find these mirror images of each other. The pink, rosy dreams of youth gradually subsiding into the reality of wiser, soured older age. The loneliness of earlier life giving way to later companionship, loving support. Reading them gave me pause for thought and some self-examination. To some degree, my experience of the first is again a mirror image. The second, well, I have been there. Without your resolution, though. But I have come closer now than I ever thought possible.
