Oh No--Caden is clearly and ridiculously incapable of surviving on this island. He broke his cell phone and lamely chased a bird hoping to catch it and somehow eat it. But the bird flew too far away. He screamed out in dismay and heard his cry repeated---"I'm. So. Hungry…" So, is the hunter now the prey? Caden saw purple unhuman like eyes that scared him. Has he found a vampire? We will find out soon if he is the prey and how soon he will have to mature in order to survive. Hey, the title says he is stranded with a vampire. The supernatural creature will need him to be kept alive so he can feed of him at least until they could be rescued.

What could have been organized chaos became full of order when skillfully led by Trevor whose very competent natural leadership talents came through. He helped and carefully supported Wade and the pack move ahead and focus on what mattered. He used his contacts and secured a heart surgeon who was flown in. His alphas noticed how he had grown and adapted to the exceptional demands and made things happen. The heart surgery is underway. The outcome is not certain. I bet the most able talent is present to help Thad survive, if possible. It was an assignation attempt by a McKinney agent. He tried to kill both Thad and Wade, but one gun misfired. The shooter took a great risk to shoot multiple shots at Thad and killed himself later. “He bit down on a wolfsbane capsule before anyone could do anything. He had a note from the McKinney family saying this war’s far from over. They’re resorting to kamikaze attacks, which indicate they’re getting desperate.” This kind of attack is almost impossible to defend against. More attacks were promised. The pack will need to be ready. I hope they increase the financial terror on the McKinney's to extreme levels.

What a wonderfully descriptive trip of the way home and how they blended together happily and easily. Ninyani became part of the group. Tchama and Ninyani became especially close friends. I like how the exchanged colorful clothes with Ninyani. It was a simple way to become closer. When they recached their home, the group split into two parts and retired in separate living places. Warning city sounds happened later. The friends might be caught up in attacks from the Messiahs. We will find out soon. They can wreck severe unexpected damage on the Messiah's if their friends are threatened , I bet.

Words almost fail me--Rafe was beyond awesome--He fought back and would not give up. He grew with each battle and developed new tactics and powers that totally surprised his fierce opponent who fully hated him. The area was destroyed. Everyone but Andre was astounded The explosion was mind blowing powerful. Who survived awake ? Rafe moved. He was deeply hurt with his outfit torn. Dylan was unconscious. Rafe won at the end after he continually seemed on the edge of losing badly. Dylan might have a new appreciation of him. Will they work together later?

The three killers are going to get the results they want. This attack by the temple will make the messiah's very mad and cause them to retaliate in great force. Then resulting attack on the shifts will draw out the shifts and the conflict will get wider and much more serious. The only hope for peace is for the three to be found out and killed. They do talk too much.

Connor is a right bustard, Now he has a supporter and potential spy as Matty's roommate. If the roommate hears about the super hero gambit, he could tell Connor who could get his minions to embarrass Rusty in costume before they leave campus or when they return. Rusty could get into a fight that will be filmed to make him look bad and Connor the victim. Matty is fully accepted by the housemates. He is going to get a get a key to the house!

Caden has been dragged into the depths of despair. One moment he is living the high life on his yacht and then he is thrown overboard lost at sea. He awakes on a beach lost--very lost and scared. Is he alone ? Will someone find him on shore or will a passing ship or plane find him ? When will the vampire appear? Can Caden get it together , conquer his fear and will himself to survive? How will he handle the unknown and the vampire?

What a touching tribute to John He was missed. GG helped with the afetr death transition and return to a healthy, normal life. Golf remains integral to their life. John is memorialized at the club with a tournament. Carl has found his mark, a dart, and is going to show three paintings. He is starting slow. Armand and Colin are planning more activities at the Home and the with Geno and his family and the boys from the village. Life will be full.

Vion showed the bodies of the killed messiah's to the principal messiah. He was authorized to seek vengeance and make an example that would impress and scare the shifts. Unless he kills the real culprits, Vion's actions will be ineffective and cause the shifts to retaliate, I expect. Only death and pain and great anger will result.

Mark , Love your truthful double entendre----George can be versatile and very desirable and thrilling to males and females. He is kind and considerate and skilled and wants his partner to be pleased. His partners normally want to return for more fun. Getting naked with males at his baths at Portland Place is perfect for uninhibited sexual pairings and trying different methods of sexual pleasure. And George has a number of old and new male friends in London to satisfy his desires from Lord Castlereagh, his newest sex partner, maybe his new lawyer, Lord Cavendish and the Duke of Clarence. As a handsome, dashing man and naval hero he has no trouble so far finding male playmates he likes.

Life is never dull. The boys keep things in motion moving about, working, eating and shopping. It looks like a copy of the home will be built in Paris, Araud and Roger will be involved. Armand has painted a picture of an eagle flying from the darkness up into the sun. It might be a metaphor for seeing a brighter day ahead from dark times--like a painful death. He will keep it hidden until the time is right.

I hope the group is not attacked in the village as they leave. I know Dozi and Lahari are uncomfortable. Ninyani has found a new, supportive family. He is going to find barriers to his desires and likes lowered. He is going to learn how to dance. But, he needs to get help and figure out how to stop or control his killing power,

The three committed terrible acts of vicious, hideous murder. The pain they inflicted was over the top. When Vion sees so many of his former friends dead he will be disgusted and saddened and incensed. I expect Vion will call his superiors. The size and cruelty of the attack should really enrage them. They might respond and order a major attack against the shifts. Since they do not know who caused the deaths, the response might kill many innocent shifts. The actual killers are hiding away and might not be seen by any attacking Messiah's.

Poor Beckeyt. He seems to be a pawn and unaware of what is happening. Parallax scratched him and hurt him. The pain has really gotten worse Mrs R has a faded Parallax placed next to Beckett and then surprisingly he falls inside. Wow! Will both better now? Is the merger a long term or short term matter? What will the merged individuals do or say or understand ? The family must guide Beckett now . They know much more than they have let on to the human Beckett I hope and respect the family will be forthcoming in the next chapter. What a cliffhanger!

I bet Vion's life was saved by his trip and drunken investigation. The killers of his roommates missed him. Now the messiah's will really turn up pressure on the investigation. Vion will have many more team mates to seek out the killers. But, they wil need better evidence.

Justice will be served cold and painful . He will find out what he used to hate . Seth's attacker will be put in a prison you say with tough criminals as a young male--red meat to dominate males----"Closeted or just hateful, at eighteen, he's likely to become someone's prison wife in either place." Mac and Devlin reunited as if they had just missed a few days apart--solid, happy friends, experimenting with sex and agreeing to spend two weeks back at the same cabin. Mac really repressed the bear incident over the years and did not remember it. Another hike or two in the woods might jog his memory. This summer vacation should mean Devin and his family should come clean. Are Devik and his family bear shifters ? Mac and Devil look like they are going to be life mates and honestly is the best policy. How it is all revealed and how Mac adjusts is going to make the next chapters compelling, I bet.

Bravo ! Thank you for an interesting, heart tugging romance full of good and bad characters in conflict and love and friendship. The sex eventually felt real and fulfilling and supported the story line. It became very easy to like Marc and Sawyer then their friends. Marc was able to be true to himself and find his true mate. Bruce and a sparkplug and dreamer. Their good friends accepted them and loved them. Sawyer and Finn reconciled. Marc's dad remained a bastard and unloving. His mother showed a spark of love and perhaps was able , unlike her husband, to feel real compassion to those they helped. I think Edgewood and company would be a fertile ground for more interesting stories. I am reminded of Jan Karon's Mitford series who told tales about a small town and its people.

BTW--end a chapter with a brief shocking twist and expect questions about reasons and implications. We anticipate your answers next time will tell us what is really happening. My 70-30 guess is that the McKinney's had a shifter or paid assassin right wing extremist in the area shoot Wade to mess up the pack's operations and attempt to shock/delay the financial recovery. If it is the McKinney's idea, maybe other shootings and a bombing or two might be next. Otherwise, it is a random shooting or an anti-gay hate crime. BTW--thanks for bringing back the Voyager plot line which I had forgotten. What a fear inducing end--Beta Thad shot in the chest I hope as a shifter he will be tough enough to recover. We need to know much more. Why was he shot? Close range suggests he knows the guy or he is a local.? Was it due to the gay bashing of Seth? Was he attacked by the McKinney's? Use of a silver bullet would suggest a McKinney. Is Wade in danger now?

Wow--Dozi has grown and become a better, tolerant person. The change was significant. She found out visiting her patents that they have remained hateful, bigoted persons who hate shifts and her dad is violent. Dozi is shocked. She has to leave the village, Her parents will speak out against her friends if they see them together. Will others follow her soon? Will others be attack them and fight back?

Thank you for answering the question of what will happen to the impressive royal quality necklace George bought from the French princess. We spent some time commenting on it. All the children are now with George at Portland Place. She can live at and be supported by Hereford. She may not take this turn of events lying down. I wonder how she will respond and if she wants more from George--like money. Colonel Steward is leaving her. He has apologized to George and laid the blame on the affair to Caroline who said George would not object. George wrote him back and pledged not seek a duel. A further loose end is Lady Kendal's will. George and the lawyer have arranged the will to be read after dinner with his father and Freddie. Lord Rosslyn has asked to attend also. He is a respected friend of the King who will be looking out for George and will report back to the King on what happens. The King likes George. Thank you, Mark, for bringing this story wonderfully to this point. The conflict has been handled and George has recovered from his surprises and acted like a forceful leader and not a victim. His friends and supporters have rallied around him. He has a good plan going forward. We have a decent idea of what still needs to be resolved. Of course, things can go astray. Marc was uncommonly generous in the face of an ungrateful, mean-spirited father who outed him in public at Rachel's. When faced with coming out empty handed, Jonathan confronted and begged Marc for the full estate to help the poor and sick at his mission. Marc offered him half because he wanted to do it and not for Jonathan's sake. Still Jonathan was mean and unforgiving. The dinners' patrons reacted in support of Marc and in opposition to Jonathan. He did not have any friends. Marc and Sawyer gained public acceptance. Jonathan's hurtfulness assured the good people would back their neighbor and friend who they already liked. As side benefits, Finn and Sawyer were willing to reconnect later and Bruce and Rachels will be closer friends. Things turned out better than expected. Thank you for this outcome.

Vion killed a poor drunken shift in his hovel. He did not fight back. Vion was just cruel and intolerant. His only punishment was to hallucinate. Vion took the man's head and mantis gland. Will this be a pain free conquest? What will the gland enable? Now, Vion and his crew will be more hated in the area. They do not realize how much they are hated. They need to change tactics to find the killer.
