Alec is going through uncommonly tormented times as his mother lays in a hospice bed almost dead. While he doesn't have a supportive relationship with his mother and he angonizes over this, he does have two good friends who are coming to his rescue. They can make him whole and know he is worthy of love. When she is dead--hopefully going quietly--Alec can know he stood with her and his dad to the end. He can now close the book on them without any guilt and move on with Finn.

Well,the chapter led up to the intense, true romantic frisson of bliss between Kage and Elijah. Kage cannot explain his attraction to him and rejects any real sexual play since he has to be the very absolute wrong person for innocent, virginal Elijah. Elijah wants and needs a partner to love and Kage thinks he cannot love since he did not experience it growing up. Nevertheless, Kage will get back to Elijah one way or another. I wonder when Kage reports back with what he has learned if his boss will tell him more and also see a crossover with the laptop and missing hybrieds. Will his boss want to get on the wrong side of the MacTier supernatural world? Will he boss want him to recuit Elijah into his world? The shapeshifter needs a job and he did take on a dangerous role in the past. I can see his boss saying go back to Elijah keep on the laptop track and find new clues ( we are expecting the 55 chevy to show up) and evaluate Elijah to see if he would fit our needs. Meanwhile, the bad guys are probably not going to give up and might now decide to go after Elijah. Will Elijah at some point feel obliged to tell his friends in Montana about the laptop as a source for the hybrid pups? Will someone in return come to him and help look for the laptop?

The enemy individual who controlled the attacking balls turned himsef comatose and can not now be interrogated. Garjah thought he went silent so he could not reveal any information. He will be monitored to see if he can be able to talk later. Now what ? They are in Garjah's home safe with all his tech and access to data bases. How can he use his assets at home to further his investigation? Essell is paranoid and thinks the Kardoval are really behind the attack. Ases has been brought into his confidence. Essell is afraid for Garjan and thinks he might be too trusting to not assume the leadership is trying to kill them. Ases and Essell both are on the look out. The mech is invaluable and gives them extra confidence. We will need more information and hopefully the next chapter can be more enlightening. Bouncer stands guard close by.

God , Jake feels terrible and hollow as he finds out Nic is not really thinking of him in a special way Nic lets a unlikable guy fuck him to get copes made--Jake is just one of many to Nic--or is this fuck a way to get over focusing on Jake--mmm Jake better wise up --he is going to badly hurt by Nic if he thinks they are a couple--at least he is good enough and caring enough later to help NIc find out about Amos's other drug/sex life

Armand was not satisfied with the price and the way his paintings are sold. He was getting high but varied prices. He was puzzled. Colin came to his rescue and bought an old building and converted the first floor of a gallery to primarily house his paintings. He surprised Armand with the gallery on their anniversary. He thanked Colin in a very intimate, personal way. Armand is growing into a wise professional. He is considering different subjects and now has a solid base to market his works

No--I do not trust him because he wanted Wagner to stop his investigation after he heard from Cyrus. Shelia must have gotten feedback or been told someway that her surveillance studs failed. As a leader he should have gone to Cyrus and discussed his actions rather than confront Wagner. Now Tillman and Cyrus need to talk and deconflict their investigations. Why are the vampires mad and needing an investigation? "As you wish, Mr. Tilliman. You'll hear from my boss."

Karl is so troubled by leaving the two people he most cared about. He had to do his duty and return to his base and service. He promised. But, his time on base only weighed more heavily on him. Did he make the right choice? Why does it hurt so deeply. Kristian tried to counsel him and spoke from his heart. At the end, both Karl and Kristian are shocked and surprised. Their base is being bombed and the bombs land close to them. They run and Karl falls. Kristian threw himself over the fallen Karl and vowed to protect him. What happens? Do both survive the bombings?

Vampires in this story line scare me. I do not trust Skillman. What is he really doing ? The problems seem to be a problem for Cyrus' pack not a vampire concern. Wagner needs to get what is has found out to Cyrus. Is Cyrus being blindsided by Tillman? BTW--I miss hearing what is happening to trainee Vincent.

Will established his full independence from his dad and fully bonded with Jake, He ended the dinner party going to his room and locking his door. He wanted to see no one for a while. Yet , he has set up two next steps perhaps covered in the following chapter: He is going to show some papers to Stef and talk about the foundation with concern. He is taking John with him to Malibu and they will attend two killer parties. John ignored him. “Hey Will, when are you going down to Malibu?” “Probably on Wednesday,” I said. “Mind if I tag along?” he asked. “Not at all,” I said. “I’m going down there alone, so it will be good to have the company. There’s a big party at Darius’s frat on Friday, and a killer party in the Palisades on Saturday.”

What a monumental and pathbreaking family dinner-- Issues were brought out to the open and conflict ensued. Some relationships were strengthen and one , possibly two broken John with friends as a visible team made clear his plan to go out and form a band and not continue with his school-His parents are opposed. I think he has to come up with a fallback plan to win more family support and it will take time. It looks like Bongo will be the drummer and possibly a keyboardist so the band will be stronger Will offered to back John and help him be independent. John can develop his band now. Will and Jake became closer and professed their platonic love to each other. Will was surprised by Jake's feelings for him and desire to be connected to him. Jake asked him to forgive his dad for betraying his trust . If Will did this he would stay. Will agreed. Later Grand expressed his suppport for Jake and his hapiness that he us staying. Jake now felt closer as a part of this family; Will told his dad he was fully independent of him and he would not be involved in his finances. His dad was not to give him advice unless Willl asked for it. Will put his dad in his place firmly After a blowup over his dad breaking his trust, Will acted in command, He is really acting like a serious mature man so very wise beyond hus 17 years. Oh ,also he told Step he has some papers and wants to talk to him ( about the foundation) later. The attendees will rememeber this dinner.

I really appreciate the constant sexual tension that engulfs Elijah. He is almost not thinking straight and when Kage gets close he thinks he hung the moon and is a good person besides pure sex like he has never known. Kage is clear and direct. Elijah is not threaten by him and constantly gets hard. The ground is laid for them to be at least a short term couplefor mutual benefit and to find the laptop.. We know why Kasar is involved and Kage surmises he force Elijah's parents to safeguard and hide his very important laptop. Why a laptop and not a flash drive? Elijah cannot figure out where it could be hidden. It apparently is not at the house. We are left breadcrums hinting a new hidding place: a 1955 Chevy or the garage where Elijah's father would have restored it. Kage and Elijah will get on the hunt. Kage's presence may bring back the killers who are also seeking the laptop. Kage asks about the top alpha by name and this surprises Elijah. He does not call him an alpha. He can telll Elijah he found him from the car license plate,Elijah will be tested to speak the truth in some form. He could say he did a job for the him and the car was his payment. Will he say more about his supernatural connections? We know from the end of the first story, that some wolf shifter friends call Elijah two week later and they only hear that a friend is helping Elijah and his friend is Ka,..., He stops short for some reason and does not say his full name. They do not know about his parents' death or who is after him. I think they will followup in a few weeks. Elijah may need their help and more. BTW--I hate moving too--I hope things go smoothly for you

There will be so many uncertainties--who will show up, could Drew be a factor in town-will any gossip from Sunny Hill reach his parents?

The club is growing and its capacity has been reached. Armand is concentrating on painting and is doing it for pleasure friends and for his gallery to sell. He is being very productivem but not as creative as GG wants. He is uncertain what she wants. Also, he doe not know what to charge for his paintings. I think the sale price at his gallery is determoned by bid. For wealthy patrons on commission he can charge a high price. For friends he can give them away. For others he should be cautious.. They may want to sell his for a high price when they find out he is famous and make money from him. I think the highest prices for an artist's paintings come after his death. Part of his legacy could be the stock of his paintings in his personal collection . The money raised could help people and further his causes.

Just to recall what was said at the end of Spirit Wolves-- It seems my friend is Kage and he must be banging Elijah and he does not know how sinister Kage is and that he works for a powerful Fae "A good friend. BTW--thanks for the facial images of Kage and Elijah as part of your story cover, They are both very appealing in their own ways. Ar first glance, they do not seem the types to be attracted to each other : different backgrounds, different bodies, etc. But when they touched, they really connected. We found out Kage masturbated to images of Elijah. We have not yet learned what sexual effect Kage has on Elijah. Perhaps any deepening feelings they develop for each other will be a major force in the story.

The investigation begins in earnest. Elijah( under protest) and Ases are sent to a safe rom while Garjah interrogates the supposed director of the drones, It could get messy. Others than kitchen help have to be involved I bet there is a Plan B or secondary attack in the works. Our heroes are still in danger. Notice the Kardoval are silent. Have they flown away? Are they involvedin the attack?

Now we know--Kage is a shadow shapeshifter and killer, Elijah is innocent but his parents had a prized laptop that belonged to a powerful person, Kage has to find the laptop. other killers may be after Elijah and his wolf friends might be arriving soon if Elijah calls for help. Oh, and Kage cannot stop thinking of Elijah, Is it just infatuation? Does Elijah feel as powerful a pull? You wonderfully set the stage. Your text is so descriptive, too,

Vincent is lucky to have Grumpy as his trainer. He is getting good advice and from what Vincent has said . Grumpy thinks is going somewhere.The alpha of the pack that was in his and his parents area wants to see him after the evaluation is done.Will Vincent begiven good advice about Stefano? Wagner is being tracked and followed. The individuals are too obvious. His criiminal boss thinks it is his lawyer or Cyrus. Wganer is not seen a culpable. He takes on two humans who are watching him outside his apartment building. He traumatizes them and learns their boss is someone he does not know--“Who the fuck is Sheila Weidman?” This mess is more complicated than expected. He has new information to give Cyrus.

A crossover story sounds hot with lots of potential. Maybe, it is a future possibility with a new story--just saying....

The security upgrade is already achieving results. The Crown Prince( for now) has more investigations and something that is troubling . It seems he will be happy to see on Mars his former earth school administrator, Mason continues to take everything in stride

Odds and ends--things missing at this point--I say this knowing Mark is the voice that matters and I only am making some observations for review There is no mention of any other ships in Visby--Maybe Granger can ask the mayor and his staff at the meal about the shipping paterns they have found at the port and if there any reports of privateers. Granger really enjoyed his sauna experiences, If he explains his interest in a sauna maybe some one who is handsome will invite him to return tomorrow for a sauna, I wonder who will join him . Granger normally when taking over a ship asks his officers if any of them have a muscal talent. Now that he is fully in charge and has resolved any potential problens, he night be comforable enough to ask if any officers have a talent and arrange practice times before performing around their meals in his cabin. Granger might have an instrument he can play and will want others Hopefully Lt Fitzgerald has a music talent. He will build upon his hero worship of Granger.
