Great chapter as usual!
Since we start we the discussion on the story theme, I actually like the politically activity of the characters, fiction can also raise awareness to the world around us. Even if one doesn't have exactly the same position as the characters, I can understand CJ point of view, even if as an European living in the US I wouldn't smoke pot, defend gun ownership, and would support a better organized and social central government (you know, with a proper national healthcare system for instance). But it it still interesting hearing about their different views about society.
If I had to make a critic, I agree that lately some personal interactions are reduced, and I don't mean just sexual activity (which is great when does have a propose, both the extremes of sexually repetitive or almost aseptic story are boring, in my opinion). I think particularly CJ and Owen relationship, as although CJ don't have to be super lovey dovey, sometimes I feel that a bit of romance would be nice, as Owen looks almost like an ornament or sidekick. it would also be interesting to know about the "growing up" of the younger ones still around in DC, specially Paddy, a young gay man that also has a strong faith. But I imagine that after the election you will have more time for that
