  1. Steven Colbert interviews advice columnist Dan Savage on a range of gay topics: http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/pl...p;is_large=true. Colbert shows his comic mettle in this 5 minute clip (after a promo). Dan (good looking man) is able to hold his own. Note the wedding ring - he and his partner are married. Enjoy. Jack
  2. HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY! All the best to GA's almost-as-prolific-a-poster-as-CJ. A friend just returned from vacationing in your beautiful country and loved the experience. Best, Jack
  3. But whatever world you're in - gay or straight - hair definitely doesn't grow on your palm...left handed or right handed. Except for a few genes, we're all pretty much alike. Jack
  4. My guess is that the three tart-let, vestal virgins wanted their 15 minutes of fame and outed Chase and Brandon to Perez Hilton or any of the other cheesy, gossip mongers in Hollywood. In the celebrity news cycle, this would be fodder for "Page 6" in the New York Post. Then, paparazzi video photographers will try to get footage to sell TMZ. Later, the cable news channels will have a field day before the "story" moves on to Entertainment Tonight. Ain't life grand? At least the guys got to kiss. Jack
  5. This is too good not to share. Caption this:
  6. NBC must have pulled it for some reason. Try the link below. It works at this point (4:06 p.m. EDT) and is worth the effort. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnpNkPCcfBM. Jack
  7. I became aware of this trend last season. Don't know about CW, but the other nets make the top shows available on their sites after broadcast. Just another indication at how important the Internet has become to sell other media formats. Some trend forcasters suggest that there may not be many newpapers in print in another five years. Only their Internet editions. And the recording industry is in a tailspin. Jack
  8. From Towleroad: Andy Samberg Fred Armisen and Maroon 5's Adam Levine riff on Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in this brilliant digital short. And the Jake Gyllenhaal cameo is just icing on the cake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhBQxbxAcLg&eurl=. Adam Levine rawks! Jack
  9. Sorry, guys. http://alpha.cbs.com/primetime/moonlight/. BTW, the show is also being replayed tonight - Saturday on CBS - 8/7 Central. Jack
  10. Had a chance to watch the premier episode of Moonlight - Friday, CBS, 9:00 p.m. EDT/PDT. This is a comtemporary twist without garlic, flashing crosses, stakes in the heart, etc. Aussie actor Alex O'Loughlin plays Mick St. John (a private investigator), a victim of the vampire curse who has used his otherwise evil powers for good. He has a vampire friend (rich, overbearing snot) - Jason Dohring - who I found rather annoying but is nice eye candy. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to more episodes. Joel Silver is the producer (Matrix movie, etc) and the show has a quality look. Hope the writers can produce quality scripts. It has the potential to be a breakout hit. Here's a link to the CBS/Moonlight site. Scroll down and you can watch last night's show in it's entirety. Jack
  11. Right On Mom By Dan Savage Remember the mom in Portland that came out swinging in defense of her high-school age daughter after she was kicked off a bus for kissing another girl? Well, she
  12. Wow, I'm impressed. Two prolific posters, Robbie and Kevin, are sporting new avatars. Good looking, dudes! Jack
  13. A great CJ cliffhanger at the end of Chapter 10 would have been the following: Dimitri turns the Range Rover into a deserted rest stop. He looks at Vladimir with a piercing, questioning look. They each whip off their shirts and expose their hot, sweaty muscle-rippling torsos. Each man moves closer. Dimitri and Vladimir's lips are inches apart...when suddenly a Thorny Devil hops through the open door window and lands in Dimitri's lap. Jack
  14. There's a wind farm not far - 5 miles - from where I live. Just for perspective, each blade is approximately 30' in length. A big thumbs-up on wearing the shirt! One step at a time. That's more than I could do in college. Jack
  15. Agree. Finished the first book over the weekend and checked out Thor's State of the Union yesterday. I must also lustfully add that Brad's a very hunky guy from the pictures. He and his wife (she's a physician to the U.S. Ski Team) divide their time between homes in Park City, Utah and the Greek island of Antiparos. I"ll have to check out Vince Flynn. Jack
  16. OMG, the CJ/Goat Crew (has a formal title been selected?) are taking over The Lounge. Bolt the doors and hide the young bucks. Jack
  17. I listened recently to a radio interview featuring Brad Thor, a mainstream author who was promoting his new book. I was not familiar with Thor but he sounded interesting - bright, informative and articulate. So, I went to the library and checked out the first novel, circa 2002 (Thor's a Tom Clancy-style thriller novelist). I noticed his URL and went to it. I was blown away by all the "bells and whistles" this man uses to promote his work. http://www.bradthor.com/. The book I checked out, The Lions of Lucerne, is a fun chiller/thriller. I'm impressed that three characters in the story are gay (One of whom is a key evil guy) and are only labeled as such because it's part of the plot. It was a good read although the main character is like the Energizer Bunny. Jack
  18. Or, a Martian. I know...lame joke. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritius. Seriously (even if I am following the Aussie clock), have a terrific 18th! Jack
  19. Best wishes to Jews around the world. For non-Jews (such as myself) here's a brief reminder of this important holiday period. It's the holiest day of the year and a chance for a fresh start. Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, begins at sundown today and culminates the Jewish high holy days that began at sundown Sept. 12 with Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. "Everyone is supposed to let bygones be bygones and ask forgiveness from other people before asking forgiveness from God." Jack
  20. 1.37 minutes of a funny "Masturbation Gestures" comedy routine on YouTube. . Didn't realize Fuse TV is doing non-musical programming. Cracked me up. Jack
  21. Might as well add my vote of appreciation to Joe! Sweaty abs, hands together and a kiss. Ahhh. I assume we must use our imagination for the progression of Brandon and Chase's friendship? Did you send the bad guy down to Australia so Graeme could take care of him? Jeez, the sub-plot has more locations than "Where's Matt Lauer". Jack
  22. As I recall in the blizzard of factoids rattling around in my head  , approximately 16% of gay males display effeminate characteristics. I agree that the "femme" walk is easy to pick out but not sure if it's gaydar at work. In my mixed bag of life's luck , when a guy makes eye contact, casually looks below my waist area and subtly licks his lips - I start 'pinging' big time. Jack
  23. Here's a provocative article that I post because of a different POV. It is relevant to the events around the world. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7091402501.html. Jack
  24. Whoops...the secret is out. Here's the Aussiebum swimsuits that Helen has selected for Brandon's shoot at the pool. Let's see how he fills it out. http://www.aussiebum.com/. Jack
  25. Bob, you are a prolific one! What is the secret the guys and Helen are keeping from Brandon? That's a curious little twist I can't figure out. Chase's blue balls are a problem. I hope that's solved soon. Could the key to solve this be a photograph of Chase hugging Brandon? And this picture suggests that both are into each other? Stay tuned. Maybe a "Larry" will meet The Scar and they'll make out in a suite at the Sheraton before going out to destroy the world (Just for a little homo-erotic twist). Jack
