  1. Thanks for reading, Job. Yes, they are behind it. They are using things and playing the system against Adam.
  2. Thanks for reading, jp. Yeah, as soon as Adam saw the pics, he went into "Cover Your Ass" a/k/a C.Y.A. mode. Good idea about the private security. That is stolen now, it's mine and canon. lol. I do believe Adam is going to coin a new phrase. "Hell hath no fury, then a Queen Scorned."
  3. Thanks for reading Sweetlion. Yeah, they were taken from the Backyard, and from the water. The Back of the house is opened to the Chanel between Harbour Island, and Davis Island.
  4. I get you. Chapter 6 will be better.
  5. Thanks for reading, JayT. Michelle's dad is a self-righteous S.O.B. He'll do anything to get at Adam. Even hiring a P.I. A shady as hell one.

  8. Chapter 5 Preview:
  9. In chapter 4, Rob mentions Thunderbug showing up with a certifcate for going to your first Lightning Game. It's an Upsale Item, that you can, at the game. Here is a Tweet showing one. (Notice Thunderbug has a Playoff beard!)
  10. I'm notorious for "catching the feels" for straight guys. I've had a couple of very deep relationships with straight guys, that would qualify as Bromances. We've done things together like sharing a shower at a hotel because we overslept and needed to GTFO, seen each other naked, but no sex of any kind, between us.

  12. Thanks again, Mike. Yes, they are still talking about it. They just filed another petition with the State for funding/tax breaks. If they move the Rays like, they want, the stadium would be built in an older industrial area off of Adamo Drive, and Channelside, right outside of the Party District of Ybor City (a/k/a Gaybor City). Adam and Rob could take the Streetcar there if they did move.
  13. Thank you very much, Mike. I'm glad you are enjoying the story.
  14. A very interesting start to the first chapter. Finn is clearly some sort of playboy from how his apartment is described in the opening scene, and he clearly was wanting Trevor. I agree with what Mike said in the chapter comment, Sam was coming on really strong, and I too was thinking this may end up some sort of Mafia-related type of story. Loved the clear visuals that the chapter had. It was very well done.

    The Promise

I started a discussion thread here:
  16. It was late at night, or early in the morning, depending on your point of view. At 3:30 am on Friday, March 9, 2018, the house was still. A sliver of light from Robert’s bathroom gently illuminated his bedroom through a partially-closed door. There was enough shadowy darkness to sleep by, and enough light to keep the demons at bay. Or so Robert hoped. It was a fitful sleep he was in, and a nightmare had gripped him. He tossed, turned, and called out in his sleep. The bedroom door opened, and

Another good post. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
  19. Chapter 5 is now done, and I've sent it off on the first stop of the editing process. Already started work on Chapter 6.
  20. Thanks, Starrynight22 for reading and for the feedback. As you've seen in the DIC thread, Chapter 5 is about finished, and I'll be sending it to tim and Kitt for editing soon.
  21. I loved this poem, tim. The visuals you painted, are fantastic.
  22. Prompt 669 sounds promising.

  24. Jimmy Buffett once said in a song, "There's a fine line between Saturday Night and Sunday Morning." The same holds true for a writer when writing their story, the plot and character agency. First a quick definition of what Character Agency is. From Michigan State University website: With the technical stuff out of the way, let's discuss agency. For me, Agency is a way to connect to the character. I'm an avid Role-Player of the tabletop version. You may have seen several of my postings across GA about playing different RPGs, such as Dungeons and Dragons. Character Agency is vital in the realm of RPGs as it is in the realm of writing. The choice one makes, when playing or writing a character, shapes the world around him. As Jonas, my Warlock who is in a Pact with a Fiend Patron, do I save the fey village, or do I let the orcs slaughter the little ones? His actions at that choice are agency. Jonas could stop the orcs, there's only three of them, and 3 on 1 odds is something he could handle. Or, he can do nothing, let the orcs do what they are going to do. It's his choice. His action, or inaction, is shaping the world and has consequences on the fey of the village. The Fine Line a/k/a Railroad/Sandbox The fine line that both a Dungeonmaster and Writer needs to be aware of is the Railroad/Sandbox line. Some more definitions, and from an excellent YouTuber Matthew Colville, and he uses a famous litature work to show examples of Railroad/Sandbox, and Character Agency. So... How do you handle Character Agency?
