That's how I like mine as well. But, there is some Apricot that someone gave me, in bags, that is to die for.

Excellent. I love the interaction between Finn and Christian. I can see a slow bond start there. Fantastic chapter tim.

I've written two stories that have "darkish" themes in them. In one I kill off characters for being gay. Got more positive feedback, than negative on that one. In the second story, I recently posted chapter 5, where the son gets taken away from the father because the grandparents are abusing the legal system. Over half the reactions on that story has been the Angry Bomb... I'm hoping it's just the feelings of the reader at the situation, and not directed at me. LOL.

So, I posted a status last night about a story I was recommended. A brief recap: I'm developing a LitRPG story, that is gay-themed, and was told to check out this story on Nifty. I'll refrain from naming and shaming the Author, but he is prolific on that site and has his own website as well. The story in question on Nifty has 15 chapters, has no clear ending, and hasn't been updated in years on that site. There is a link at the bottom of each .html page to the Author's website. Well, I go to said website and lo' and behold, there is a chapter 16 for this story. I click on chapter 16, and WHAM!!!! Paywall. I click on Chapter 15 and look there's content. Checking other stories that the author has on his site, all of them has chapters hidden behind the paywall, and most of those stories, you can read the majority on "free sites." That my friends is the definition of a Dick Move. I get authors and websites having Premium content and normally would support such moves. If the whole story was behind the Paywall; like how GA does with its premium content. What I don't agree with is an Author that publishes for free 99% of a story, and locks the last 1% behind a paywall, to where you can not read the remainder of the story. Bottom lining: The whole Story behind Paywall = Fine, go for it. Partial Story behind Paywall = Dick move, and you lost me as a reader. What say you all?

I've noticed that GA has a number of Authors who post Stories to the Stories Archive, and that's the limit of their participation here on Gay Authors. There is no talking in clubs, as they are not members of them, no talking on forums, but they may or may not respond to chapter comments. How can an author do that? How can they not interact with the community, and still have their stories read? It's mind-boggling.

There is one for Authors who have passed away. I forget what it actually says, but that has to be set by staff, or someone that has access to their account. Yeah, there's a couple of stories, I've read that haven't been touched since 2011 who still show as "in process," and the Author hasn't been seen in about the same length of time. I think it would take Staff to go in and swap it out, and flipping it to "on hold" would be the best.

Thanks Flesco. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and they will be making a reappearance soon.

TC2 - Chapter 5: Frantic Friday
Brayon commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 5: Frantic Friday
I posted yesterday, in the Forums on the discussion thread, that Chapter 7 will be the ending to Book 1. Book 2 will pick up after the events of Book 1. However, I didn't want to be tied to current events, like Book 1 is, like the Lightning games for example. SO, Book 2 will be tied into reality, with Tampa being Tampa, but I won't adhere to 100% factual things, like its rumored that the TB Rays might be sold off to another owner, and moved out of state, instead of moving to Tampa. I would keep them in Tampa. Also, there's some character's I'll be introducing from another of my stories, that need some love. Check out A New Life and a New Home. -
Story Update for fans of My Son. Chapter 6 as previously mentioned is now in the editing process. I've been working on Chapter 7 for the past couple of days, looking at all the loose ends that I need to tie up. Surprisingly, not that many. Chapter 6 is titled "Friends in Low Places," and Chapter 7 is called "Retribution." You may have noticed that chapter titles were a theme for the tone of the chapter itself. Well, when Chapter 7 is published, it will be the end of the first installment. But it will not be the end for the characters themselves. I had only planned to do one chapter, but instead, I've created a family and a storyline I would like to see more of. I'm also planning to combined a couple of other stories into the My Son world. One that is currently published here on GA, and another one that I had sitting on a shelf. Though with that one, I'm going to need to strip out the SciFi elements. Thanks to everyone that has read the story, and for the suggestions. They will be used in Book 2.

Thank you for reading, and for the feedback, Flesco. Chapter 6, and chapter 7 will address some of the stuff that you've brought up. C6 is with the editing team now, and c7 I've started on today, and already about 500 words into it. We're coming to a conclusion for this story soon. -
An excellent tale, that sheds a light on a human need to belong in a world of hope. About regaining one's humanity. It's an interesting journey, that you should read.

This is an excellent story, well written, and thought out. To me, it's a story in stages. Stage 1, the world is destroyed and doing what you must in order to survive. Stage 2, the finding of hope in someone that changes your life, represented by the horse, and it's death. Stage 3, being rescued and meeting someone that will show you to a better future. Absolutely brilliant. You hit this one out of the park, my friend.

TC2 - Chapter 5: Frantic Friday

Thanks for reading, and for the feedback FanLit. There is true evil in this world, and the Turners are that. Evil. They are corrupt, morally bankrupt, and only care about power, image, and status. Chapter 6 will be the start of their fall, and it's completed! It's currently with the content editor now, and then I'll send it off to the editor number 2 for final technical edits. -

Check the gallery, and I posted their pic and the website. They're a bit pricey but really good.

@Myr Is this something, as writers, we shouldn't be doing? Tagging stories with multiple genres is what I mean. Thanks to you and @A.J. for compiling this data for us.

Thanks for reading, Bft. Rob did tell Sylvia about the dream, I just didn't rehash it when he told her. But he did explain it as part of the whole week recap he did when they sat together. She was "under orders" from people above her, to remove Rob until the investigation was down. Yup, the PI was paid to keep a 24-hour watch on the place. Money talks, so you do what the client wants. -

Agreed. While most gay authors like to talk about the evil Republicans, I like to be realistic and show that the other side isn't as lily white as some believe they are. -
