Genres are the basic type of stories, like Fantasy, Romance, Drama, or my favorite Science Fiction. The tags are used to tell the reader what the content is. When we post a story, there are several steps, and step 4(or 5) is story tags and for stories, they are predefined. We can check off up to 6 different tags for our stories. Myr once posted this link, that lists all the tags, both alphabetically and by usage: https://www.gayauthors.org/storyoptions/storytags/ . Hope that helps.

The origin, of the way I heard it, was a Car Dealership here in Tampa. They had TV ad spots, of a lady Swimwear Model, scantily clad, standing next to an Exotic Car, saying the phrase. Trying to get the Mid-life crisisers to come, and blow a wad of cash on a new car.

Recently, I've been using Google Chrome to browse the Internet, mainly so I can use the program All in One Messenger. While surfing GA I've noticed there is a distinct difference between Chrome and Firefox. From the way, fonts look, to even some notification functionality. I know this is pretty much out of GA's control on how browsers interact with the site. So with that said, what is the GA's staff recommendation of a Web Browser for GA? Is there one we should use over the other, especially as an Author, when posting Stories and Forum Topics to the site?

I recently watched a vlog on running sessions for Role-Playing games and setting the stage, that correlates with the above advice. One thing I'm thinking about doing, in my writing, using what @Comicality said, and the blog, is when setting the stage, giving the readers at least 3 pieces of information to help with it. 1. What they see. 2. What they hear. 3. What sort of sensations they feel. You could add smell to the list, to try an engage all their senses in your writing.

This I have to disagree with. In some cases, having a Fantasy critter being nonstandard can make the story more interesting. I just recently was involved with a story, where the main baddie was a Female Elven Druid that became a Vampire. When she went to ground to hibernate for a few years, her nature-based magic merged her vampiric self with the land around her. Still an undead Vamp, but all her abilities were plant-based. Was truly an epic bad guy. Now, not all changes are good. Like Vampires that sparkle in the sunlight, and just stare at you until you go out with them.

So, just to be clear: All areas of GA, outside of Stories and Private Clubs, is to be rated PG-13. (Using American Movie Ratings.) Don't use Symbols for words. Spicy Language is allowed in Stories, as long as it's rated Mature, and then it's Reader Caveat Emptor*. Good... No one is taking my Fracking away.... Especially seeing as it's the name of the process used to crack rocks in oil and natural gas drilling. Overall, I agree with the policy and hope this helps GA flourish. More of a narrative posting, and less a short story or even a Journal Entry. It's told from the 1st person PoV, in several paragraphs of narrative. Not really a Journal Entry, or even a short story. More of an Emotive Narrative posting. Overall, was well written and had a good message.-

A beautifully written Christmas tale, with a moral embedded in it. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would recommend it to anyone.

I would NNNEEEEVVVVEEEERRRRR do that.... OK, maybe I am. LOL Seriously though, it was great little SciFi story. I think you would do well writing a longer one. Your Tristan story showed you had the knack for it, with the Vampire/Urban Fantasy mix-up. Plus, a number of your horror-themed works.
