  1. Thank you, tremendously for reading and the comments, it's truly appreciated. I'm happy you enjoyed the series to date. The next installment will address Giles, and reveal what's going on in his noggin. I can't take credit for redolence. I was looking for a word that described smelling someone's scent, and it was my friend and content editor tim @Mikiesboy who suggested it. I fell in love with the word as it was perfect.
  2. Thank you, again KayDeeMac. The cock-blocking is brought up in chapter 2 of the next installment. Very perceptive on why it might be happening. 🙂 The next installment had some more work done on it today.
  3. I think it might be @Backwoods Boy .
  4. I have to admit, I should have made chapters 3, 4, and 5 smaller and added a couple of more with how dense they turned out. Keep all the content but spread it out a bit more. Jeremy and Travis are my favorite couple. As a writer I try not to have favorites, but I do. LOL. I love all my boys, but some you get more attached too. The fourth installment will have more, but I think everyone will love how things shape up. I truly appreciate you reading and commenting, KayDeeMac, and I hope you enjoy the rest of Jeremy's story.
  5. I'm with you on BoA not being one of my favorite banking places. They did me dirty back in the day, and promptly switch to a different bank. As for Jeremy and his towel, there is always a little bit of real life in my stories, and that was from an incident that happened in real life. There was a lot of sad in this chapter, and that bank towel incident was something to help lighten the mood. Thank you for reading and the feedback, KayDeeMac.
  6. I noticed today the Authors Tab's sorting feature is going off of Community Reputation, and not an Author's Story Reputation. While I have no problems being listed on page one with my Community Rep, I know my Story Rep is far lower than it. https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/author/?filter_sort=pp_reputation_points Laptop Running Windows 10 on Firefox.
  7. Thank you, KayDeeMac. I appreciate the feedback, and it's been inspiring too. I'm still working on the last installment, but I've done some editing of the first 10 chapters this morning.
  8. Thank you! Making me blush here.
  9. Thank you for reading and for the comment, KayDeeMac. I've had a lot of readers respond publicly and privately about having lived in Tampa for years. Pleasantly surprised to see so many of us here. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.
  10. Wind speed coming off the leading edge hit 75mph over my head. Lots of rain. But seems all is better right now. One hell of a way for a cold front to move in. This squall line extends from FL to the Carolinas. See everyone in the morning.
  11. When your phone goes off saying, "TORNADO WARNING! SHELTER IN PLACE IMMEDIATELY!" And you flip the news on, as they show a squall line pass over your house with reports of a undescended tornado right over your house. Still have power, cable, and internet, but heard a thud on the roof. I'll be sitting in a doorway if you need me.
  12. I'm sorry you've had those bad experiences. As one of tim's Beta Readers on this project, I can say I never got that sense from this chapter and story, and would have said something if I had. On the contrary, I applaud tim for putting it in the story, as it is a valid and common opinion here in the United States, and I suspect in Canada, where tim lives, as well. I hope you finish this story, as it is an excellent piece, written by an excellent writer.
  13. Yes, they are still open. Haven't been there in a while, but it's a place I've been before.
  14. I've been to all of those places, and toyed with the idea of including Bern's into the next installment. Right now, the first part of the next installment is in Boston, and then the second half is in Tampa. The courthouse will be featured I can say assuredly. Thank you, again, for reading and the feedback, pickuptoy. I hope the story is bringing back good memories.
  15. Thank you, pickuptoy, for reading and commenting. I'm happy that you enjoyed the opening chapter, and the next four are going to be a fun ride. In hindsight, I do see where the death of Jeremy's parents was telegraphed, and for the life me, I can't see where I could have done things differently for that. I will say it does have an impact on Jer and events not only in this story, but the unpublished (currently) fourth installment. As for Jer's love interest, you guessed right. 🙂

Thank you, for pointing that out!
  17. Thank you, again pickuptoy, for reading My Son, and for the comment. A lot of what you mentioned is in the unpublished fourth installment. When it's finished and I get it put out, I hope you and other readers love it. I appreciate your support. 🙂
  18. Just was quoting some playful teasing from the Best Man last night. It was a good party last night, with a lot of ribbing. I guess you could say it had all the stereotypical bachelor party gimmicks. I don't feel that way on the subject, nor do I see myself ever being married. I'm destined to pass alone, and I've accepted that.
  19. Science Fiction Writer, Joshua Dalzella (Omege Force Series, Teran Scout Marine Series, Black Fleet Saga, etc.) does an Epilogue at the end of each book he does. It serves two purposes in his style of writing. 1. To dot all the "I"s and cross all the "T"s for that installment, and 2. to serve as a jump off for the next book in the series. I actually like that.
  20. I truly hope things get better for you, Mac. For me, that storm is still raging years later.
  21. Sleep Well, DIC... Either I'm becoming a lightweight when it comes to booze... or I'm misremembering being able to handle my alcohol. Then again, I had three double shots whiskey, four beers, and a mudslide in celebrating a family friend's soon-to-be life sentence of marriage to his girl.
