Just what is NORMAL?
MichaelS36 commented on mollyhousemouse's blog entry in Mollyhousemouse's Stash
You know any long time potheads, JayT? Why any one wants to become that, I do not know. Legal does not equal, smart or good. -
Mmm, Mac has said it perfectly. A beautiful poem, boy.

Just what is NORMAL?
MichaelS36 commented on mollyhousemouse's blog entry in Mollyhousemouse's Stash
I think there are normal (perhaps read: acceptable) societal norms, the majority can agree on. Possibly it's easier to say what's not acceptable to us, are the least normal of behaviours. Heinous crimes like premeditated murder, rape and/or the sexual exploitation of children. Yet, there are those among us to which all of these are just fine. My career took a major turn when a man we arrested, looked me in the eye and told us the reasons why what he did was okay. I won't write what that was here. To him it was his normal, to us it was abhorrent. It is a conversation I shall never forget. Generally I think normal, is acceptable by most, it's comfortable and safe, and like A said, helps us deal with life. But now and then, put your bikini and blades on.... -
Views From the Window Before 7:00am
MichaelS36 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Views From the Window Before 7:00am
Wonderful. ..and yes, I'll buy you a new squeegee! -
I was a detective. However, hand holding was off duty. I was not the cop who misused my position. Yes, I'm aware not all have the freedoms we do, but our actions can filter through, other people and countries can see we stand up for ourselves. To help others, we need to stand up to any who would put us down. So I hold tim's hand, I kiss him in public. The last guy who called me a f*gg*t, was asked to step outside, where I said I'd be happy to show him how much of a f*gg*t, I am. He declined my invitation. No, I wasn't on duty I was trying to see a film. He went away and tim and I had a nice evening.

Really? Do you have your own old bookshop? Mine contains mainly books in German, some English on the Luftwaffe. So it is a bit musty!

We hold hands, kiss, in public. ..people can look the other way. I will not change who I am, or what I feel for anyone.

This poem is both simple and complex. It's wonderful, I don't think it's something I'd tire of. Beautiful.

Managing this disease is worth the effort. Frankly, I'd like to live to 90! I won't if I'm not careful. Sugar is just not worth it. So much more to live for...great blog boy!

Nothing quite like that moment, that instant connection. Then the orbit is calm, but those feelings can return when you least expect it. Wonderful !

I have to agree. he's written a few space-based things. And they feel real to me, they are not so far outside my comfort zone that I cannot believe it.

Ha! That was fun. Only thing .. the dragon should have had glasses! It was good boy, couple of chuckles in there!

Oh, that was fun! Good cop, bad guards! Made me nostalgic! LOL! Seriously though, we think this couldn't happen, frankly I think it's very possible! Nice job tim!
-
It certainly looks that way. It's an interesting experience I'm sure. And you've come up with some wonderful poems.

Thank you Emi. I'm not down on myself, but I realize I cannot fix everything for tim. But he will never be without me. And thank you we will look after each other! You take good care also! Mike

Keep your cell phone in your hand...talk into it. That can deter people. And look around, walk with confidence.

Thank you Def. I appreciate you reading and your comments.

You're kind. I'm definitely not a fantastic poet, and the great guy thing. I have my moments. I appreciate your comments and for reading this piece.

I'm sure some others wouldn't put up with tim. I know how tim feels about me. We are both open when it comes to relationships, he needs an emotional connection, while I don't particularly. I know he loves others, but there is room in that heart for a number of people. There are good people on GA, and I'm glad to know them. GA has been good for tim and he can stay until the day that changes.

There are jp. There are many people he cares for, you and molly among them.

Thanks Mac, but I'm not so remarkable. It's an easy choice, there is a lot we can teach our boys, train them for, but we can't change who they really are, inside.
