  1. you are well loved, boy. And too young to be thinking such things.
  2. An interesting story, with a moral. The Main Character is warned about what his choices could mean. He has a choice to make and in the end he chooses correctly in my opinion. A great little short story, in itself hard to write well.
  3. @MacGreg thank you for this excellent comment.
  4. Thank you, Parker
  5. true, Kitt
  6. You have such a someone as does molly, sean and renee. And online you have Mac and myself to help if needed.
  7. Thank you, Reader.
  8. I hope you find someone also.
  9. Thank you, my boy.
  10. Sometimes, my best is not good enough, like it was not yesterday. he's a bit brighter today ... hopefully being out will help bring him out of himself more. Yes, it does work both ways ... should we tell those secrets though, Mac? LOL. Have a great day my friend!
  11. Living with mental illness and depression is difficult. Having a partner who suffers, is also challenging, but I will not let him down. I am proud of him and he is worth all my love and effort. I watch the ghosts of your past Swamp and overwhelm you Though I intervene, too often Their pull is greater than my power But always I will be your tether And safety net, I will not let you fall

    Solitary

oh tim, you know that no matter how tight you draw those velvet curtains around you, at some point you must drop them. and when you do, my boy, I will be here. Your friends will be here. Until the time you are ready, I will be waiting.
  13. You need to do what's right, for you. You need to look into your eyes in the mirror and say truthfully that you did your best. Great short story, tim. It's good to be reminded.

    Chapter 2

Sweet boy, you say much in your carefully selected words. I hear you. Two wonderful pieces, tim. xo
  15. Fog, shrouds, ebb flow ...this speaks of dark places, gripping sadness and a kind of resignation, that this is how things are and will remain. Yet... There is more, moments of brilliant light and love, I think. A deep and thoughtful poem.

    Night at the Ball

I'm sure tim, will remember. The poem and all it means, is wonderful. I am happy for you, and your boy.

    Goodbye Daddy

When you said I want to go, now, today. I wanted to say no, to protect you-he's hurt you so much, taken so much. I didn't want to give that s.o.b. another second of your time, or mine. But a man sometimes has to do what he feels is right. I'm proud of how you handled it. Before and after. xo
  18. I know you are deeply moved by Remembrance Day. Your heart is in the poem...Beautiful. And who would not be moved by those amazing winged horses?
  19. tim your Remembrance Day poem, and your prompt this week were both outstanding. So well done.

    Tear Tracks

It's sad and horrific. And I'll say it again: Gun Control. I don't why you, as in so many Americans fear it. More guns and more armed people are not the answer. Your poems are beautifully written.
  22. Oh, these are both so good, boy. As jp has said, you could reach and touch your clouds. Well done.

    Lesson #3

LOL.. you're right, it would be a long list. They are gifts these boy and girls that entrust so much to us. Nor would I change a thing, life is just so much more than I thought it could be. I may have to write a poem!!
  24. Look after yourself @JayT I see you dropped into the DiC. I understand the need for silence sometimes. Know your friends are here for you when you're ready. M

    Lesson #3

Personally I'd add, silence is golden, ego is not attractive on a sub and practice humility. You bring back memories of earlier times, Mac. Watching them learn, seeing the understanding, watching them become the butterflies we know they can be. It's a wonderful thing .. another wonderful lesson.
