A very enjoyable story which is not just about the night the protagonists spend together but the build up and how we learn about the two guys. The combination of passion and the boss’s sense of responsibility and respect for the intern make it a very good read.
Currently chasing her bigger sister around and scaring her to bits as she charges at her wearing her “armour”! Another week to go before vet discharges her, hopefully. I’m off to UK so she better be well.
That’s what she thinks!
post vet visit she now has the “Elizabethan collar” as the Spanish call it as she has a post op slight inflammation. Boy is she p****d with daddy Gary.
A great chp. I loved the cafe dialogue between the youngsters! Toby plays a more and more important role for me in the story.
The story goes from strength to strength x
I most certainly would have! As a friend of mine once said (after being pushed into pool by an earlier victim): “Revenge will be swift and frequent!”
And yes, you get off Scott free on the detective story line. Um, you are one sneaky @Thirdly! Xxxx
So, so good. I’m looking forward to re-reading the whole story once complete. I suspect I will find nuances that have escaped me thus far. This has become a worthy part of @Robert Hugill’s collection.
Yes, it feels as if we are there, on the beach, on the deck, everywhere, with these characters. The prose is just a joy to read except when we are taken to feelings that are too uncomfortable. Easily my best read of the year, so far. But just how much torment still lies ahead?
