I initially was going to give an angry reaction to the chapter but the scene with Rachel was so touching I changed it.No reason for them two to not continue being great friends. Tanner keeps saying boyfriend(s) when referring to men that come over. The most gentlest way I can put this is that maybe Mom is a working girl.She doesn't seem to care about Tanner except for not letting him go to sleepovers could that be because she doesn't want to speak to other parents? The accident with her husband and her other son Brian might be a reason for how she's acting. Tanner has some serious self esteem isues. He made a comment in his diary about not being good looking when in reality Brian thinks he's gorgeous. What will happen when Brian eventually starts asking questions about his home life? I hope Dad Dan finds or Brian's Mom finds out what's going on.

The more details I hear about Aunt May and that man that wanted her to travel with him the more it breaks my heart. That conversation he just had with Sawyer about that is fresh in his mind so you know that is going to be brought up with parents BTW why did the parents miss the funeral? Were they distracted by some cool place to visit along the way? The mere fact Marc didn't recognize his parents voices tells you all you need to know about their relationship. Under normal circumstances I could see Sawyer staying out of this between Marc and his parents but since he messed up when Aunt May died there is no way he won't get involved in this.....And I can't wait........I hope you don't have some new info waiting for us that could F things up like Marc owes his parents money he borrowed to start his business... probably not but I'm worried they'll try to throw a wrench in something. If the parents have any objection to Marc and Sawyer they have no right to. If they do and if I were Marc I would say something like "You already kept one possible couple apart you're not doing that here"

Oh Holy night can de a difficult song to sing but with the right boy voice singing it the song could sound beautiful. Andy mentioned again how lucky he is to have the parents he has just like Wayne mentioned last chapter how he wasn't close to his bio mom . Because of that I'm seeing a situation where the relationship between Tanner and his Mom is going to go south and I picture Andy and Wayne trying to help

Before this chapter some readers were thinking Bruce and Karen and I would be more then cool with that but now we can also consider Bruce and Tim wow talk about the yin and yang between two people. The fallout of all this seems to have affected Rachel the most but she's a classy lady and I hope Sawyer and Marc find a way to deal with that POS who's harassing her. I guess the exchange Sawyer had with the Marc's team went pretty good .Notice Rick said he had to leave under the guise that he had to think about things while the others stayed behind to clean up. To answer your question during the high school years absolutely not at the time any of us that knew about others that thought the same way the situation was usually there were a lot of FWB stuff and sometimes with multiple people but I don't recall anybody referring to themselves as BF.
