On one Chris is very smart with that test of going into Mr Jefferies bed on the other hand it could have been very, very risky.Was there a way for Mr.Jefferies to have his people check Chris out?It's risky on his part also.Can't wait to meet Maria and the other kids.

Although the story is narrated by Mr. Jefferies we are sort of seeing this from Chris perspective.We will find out what the house and the other boys are all about the same time he does.It would seem like a easy choice to make for Chris given what he was doing but still getting on plane to another country with a man he barely knows is still a risk from his point of view.

Just like with A Fall Observation and A to Z.When your read these again you get even more out of It.This is not a criticism at all but the one thing this story had that A to Z had only a little of was a conversation without Andy being there so you can see what others are saying and thinking about Andy.You mentioned in a chapter comment in the other story that you thought of doing a chapter from Terry's point of view I wish you had.It would have been interesting w to hear what the three friends were thinking when they were briefly not talking with Andy among other things. But I repeat it's not a criticism it would have just made a perfect story more perfect if that makes sense.Also great writing from Monica's point of view the reader feels her sadness at the two leaving for college and we find out she thinks of Andy as just as much of a son as Zander is.Thank you so much for these characters.

I find when you read a good story a couple of extra times it seems to get better and better and this was definitely the case this this.About the story itself Andy hearing and seeing Danny must have really affected him like nothing else ever had.He went on to do some very un-Andy like thing.First he initiated a hug with David something I don't think he's ever done that before then he told them about the time he almost jumped off the bridge .He hasn't even told Zander that am I right?Then he mentioned the part about Uncle Ray something that took him a long time to talk about in AtoZ.Really powerful stuff between Andy and David they are forever kindred spirits. I really want in the worst way to read the 18 weeks story but the dates that are mentioned in the start of the story almost literally coincide with when my 90 year old mother had emergency surgery and the spent the next three months were spent in a nursing home in which I visited everyday until her death.Seeing those dates gets to me I know it's irrational I hope to get to it eventually.Speaking of which if you ever decide to another lengthy story about A and Z common sense would say David and Twoey would make a few appearance but you might feel uneasy about using Skinny's characters. Thank God for PESI and for the Doctor for having the foresight for asking PESI to record things.Is there a video I hope so.I like The doctor's line of BS when he said that they weren't expecting them.We have not been told of the Doctor's orientation but I suspect that he expected problems with CS and there's a reason for that.

Jeff's conversation with the police officer reminds me of something.At my church we have a program where we ask for donations after all the masses on the third week of the month.The volunteers (which I am one)go to Costco and buy enough food to fill 100 bags of food.The following week we go to about five parks and distribute them.(this is in California)all foods are canned or wrapped and are non-perishable and are bought well before the date on the package.We get hassled by the park maintenance and PD a lot.I'm glad the officer in your story is a reasonable guy.We had to stop doing this due to the co-vid situation

Well the boys concern about sex is put to rest if they were willing to swim naked in front of Jeff.Those six boys obviously formed a tight bond of friendship while on the street I wonder if any of them formed a different type of bond?

Tyler is obviously a bright kid the questions he asked were spot on and articulated well. We also find out that he has a serious problem and a situation like this can lead to fatal consequences. I assume Zeke is unaware of this.I hope he sees a clue in Tyler's behavior before it's too late

As soon as you mentioned pint sized cartons of milk I had an idea what Jeff was going to do.I'm just curious what kind of regulation hoops he's going to have to jump through.Strange you have street kids out there alone and the government is doing nothing for them but I bet as soon as Jeff tries to help them they'll try to get involved.

You probably know this but @jkwsquirrel wrote a story called String which takes place about 10 years after The W.A.R series which has some of those characters in it. Glad you are reading this story also.

Curious to see where this is going.This reminds of a story I saw on 6O minutes about 5-10 years ago.There was some flaw in the design of a game in The New Jersey lottery which some smart guy like Jeff figured out and the person made a killing.Only one time here In California did I hear of a lottery winner asking their name to be private and not announced.I wonder how many state lotteries allow you to do that.Sounds like that's what Jeff should of asked about.
