My favorite chapter so far. Cleaning baby was even cuter than ninja baby!

This will hopefully start to open Brandon's eyes to a new world not nearly as cut and dried as he thought.

This chapter was so exciting, it felt like a Clancy novel! The saying "we learn more from our mistakes than our successes" comes to mind. I am looking forward to Davey and Brian's reunion and to how Davey will get the government to believe him without exploiting him this time.

I loved this chapter! Extra loved ninja baby and bad-ass super spy Matt! I agree that this covert operation will give Matt a confidence boost, the weekend alone with Seamus a different kind of boost. I liked the chapter name.

I think that Davey will definitely go back again. He knows the main failure was the inability to find the Chinese man who went back. I don't remember if they ever found out his identity. They also chose to not preemptively take out Shrevardnadze, waiting till he came back, and then we're unable to do it. I realize that those two are primarily responsible for this new WWIII, but hopefully Davey can figure out how to handle some social and interpersonal issues better, as well as prevent the USSR/Chinese collaboration in the new timeline.

Exactly. I don't think she was purposely seeking out communists, I think she ran her mouth, like always, trying to recruit members to the "let's hate Davey group". If I were a spy, I would seek out people close to the target.

Obviously the communists know Davey is at the base, this makes sense because it didn't exist in the previous timelines. But there was no way of knowing he would be at the church camp (not exactly a high priority target) without someone informing the enemy. Now, who do we all know who had this prior information and hates Davey???? She goes to the top of my most hated list!

I am reminded of the snit Ritch was in at the inauguration due to riding a desk for the next 4 (8?) years. His comments to the boss lady will come back to bite him in the butt.

It feels like Davey made a deal with the devil. I find myself looking at these public figures differently now, even though I know this is fiction. I have a hard time reconciling the evil child abductor with the pictures of the nice 90 year old jumping out of the airplane! I think the relationship with David is probably good for Davey at this point in his life. I feel sad for Brian that he will never reach his full potential or true peacefulness with himself.

I was soooo happy they finally talked! I'm also glad that Seamus stood up for himself regarding Aidan's daycare. On the one hand, Matt was taking responsibility and trying to be an adult, but on the other hand, he was making all the decisions with no input. And maybe living in his own apartment is an important step in feeling like an equal in his relationship, but it is not lost on me that they are not spending nights apart. I'm also intrigued by the possible pilfering.

Thank you for this sweet story. I have to admit, I was at first confused at why our Liebe was calling some other man Papi! I realized just how attached I am to your characters, they feel like my friends (but not in a crazy stalker way).

True, plus there is Jenny to consider. Maybe a "come to Jesus" talk with her is past due with her husband. I was also thinking about this story at work today, maybe Brandon and Trevor might be a useful go between to help with the Brian situation?

On my god!!!! That was the most suspenseful chapter I've read in a long time! I ate half a bag of Cheetos and my beer disappeared! I loved the whole chapter, but the ending was perfect!

If she was not his mom, the witch would already be in prison. I think that's where she belongs, in isolation. Davey needs to talk to his dad, the general, and the President and they need to figure out how to handle her self absorbed ass. I still hold hope for Brian. I wonder why Sean is even bothering with school. Davey decided to go to school so he could have a "normal" life (how's that worked out for you Davey?).

I think this was an encouraging chapter. Just the fact that Brian is warring within himself means there is a chance that he will allow his true self to come through. Sean is world's better. No suicide watch for him.

I agree with trvlbug, WWIII will still happen most likely, just not today (in this timeline). I wonder if our government is being more offensive and proactive, rather than mostly defensive, in their tactical plans in this timeline.

I agree with all the above, about no WWIII (obviously), and the pro-Sean and anti-Sean sentiments. I think he is deeply depressed and understandably so. I am also not a big fan of his current personality. Brian's eternal optimism has made a big difference to his friends and family in the pasts, hopefully it will again. Right now, Sean and Davey's mom are the two biggest security threats to the country. Sean is safe, but what about mom?

Damn that was intense! Hopefully Ethan will figure out how to better control his powers. I'm also hoping that Ethan and Aiden will be able to improve Brandon's lycan self-esteem and alter his negative views of packs.

First of all, I want to say that I love reading a story that fosters intelligent discussions and arguments between readers. It is something that is hard to come by in today's polarized world. Everyone (including me) is afraid of pissing off coworkers/friends/family that they avoid controversial topics. I only have a couple people that I can have debates with and still remain friends. As for Putin, I think his being a relative nobody with access to the Kremlin plays in their favor. The higher ups aren't expecting him to threaten them. This Putin is swayable (their future knowledge helps them in knowing how to work him) and it doesn't really matter if he didn't originally possess the knowledge or power to lead a coup. The Chinese probably gave him enough money, firepower, and support to accomplish their goals. The Chinese could have picked any number of mid-level KGB operatives to get control of Alexei, but their future knowledge of Putin made him The most attractive candidate.

The Chinese know that Putin turns into a dictator with an enormous ego. I would think he would be the perfect puppet to get a hold of Alexei. All the Chinese have to do is fill him with enough information and hopes of control to get him to do their bidding (which apparently worked, because the coup started). The question is, how will Alexei adjust to coming back and not being able to take control. The Chinese may not have had much time to prepare before coming back, but they have had plenty of prep time since coming back. WWIII seems inevitable and immanent.

I thought Matt's excuse for running away from Seamus was to spend time with his dad. Sounds like he is spending time pretending he is a kid. If he would counter his internal arguments with rational thinking, instead of feeding his pity party, he might actually get somewhere. I've said I love you before and those relationships ended. Did you spend a year getting to know the guy, months living with him, and have him declare his love first, previously? Would he be with me if it weren't for Aidan? He pursued you for a half a year before your relationship became romantic. Also, you do have Aidan, and will for the next 17 years. How exactly would you test this hypothesis in any relationship you have from here on out? I feel sorry for Aidan, because he is the one suffering due to Matt's insecurities.

In all the timelines, Davey's mom has been selfish and self-absorbed. She seems more vindictive and unhinged in this one. She was somewhat of a martyr in the other ones (where she was wronged by David Sr.), and she was killed before she could revert to full martyrdom. I agree that someone from the government needs to have a talk with her, but with her current mindset, jail would push her past the point of reason for ever.

I'm hoping Brian will come around. I am also looking forward to Davey's old friends mingling with his new friends. As for Mr. Mulkey, I'm reminded of the phrase "Pride goeth before the fall". His conceit and self-importance will come back to bite him in the ass, it usually does.

Even though Rick may not have a business tying him to the town (soon), he still has a home, friends, and history. I don't know if I see him following Gus around the world on the concert circuit. I could see Gus finally firing Zoltan because of his meddling and threats, but I don't see him settling down and retiring. I can't wait to find out how these two will get their HEA. They will get their HEA, won't they???? Please?

You’re his dad.” “I’m his brother.” “Yes, you’re his brother, but you’ll be the only father he knows.” Matt cringed. “It’s just weird. I don’t feel very dad-ish. I don’t feel like I’ve earned the title.” Yes! This is what I've been talking about. Matt thinks of himself as a brother who is a full-time babysitter. He thinks of himself as a "typical college kid" (even though less than half the people going to college meet this traditional definition). How long will Seamus put up with just being the hot boyfriend with no input into the relationship. Unless Matt grows the hell up, they are all going to lose out on a great life together (with poor little fatherless Aidan being the biggest loser).
