The optimism in me thinks that a team of 6 will be able to make more positive changes, especially since they are starting at age 12 (chronological). The pessimist thinks 6 is a lot to keep on track, especially since they are only 12 (hormone-wise). The realist is looking at only 7 remaining chapters and reasoning that we will finally have success for our boys!

I would love a spin-off! I agree that more stories are needed with and for adults. Life (and libido) does not end at 40!

Great chapter! I love Pete's attitude and comfort in his own skin. He doesn't judge others by their sex lives and doesn't understand why anyone should judge him. It's too bad that viewpoint isn't more universal. I look forward to reading more about Joe and Jake.

It would be cool if they all went back, but it seems like someone needs to stay behind to keep anyone else from coming through.
-
The Sean that came back is from the future of the current timeline. The mad scientist figured out the jamming and knew Sean was involved due to calculations he made in the cover-up.
-
This again! And we don't have the Davey & Ronnie show up and going already. At least Sean saved the future again.
-
We now know why Garjah was so against Bouncer in the beginning! The next chapter will be like a "meet the parents" moment on steroids.

We finally have our guys focussing on the future, with their heads screwed on straight (fortunately other parts not so straight). Of course, Sandy is still Sandy, and sort of a lost cause. She is a special kind of crazy, equal parts selfish, stubborn, and homophobic. As much as I'm looking forward to the guys putting their plan into action, I'm also sad that we are only ten days away from this being over. What are we going to do with our mornings?!

Davey is so much better off without his selfish, hateful mother in his daily life. But this is Davey, and he loves his mother and sister so much he was willing to put his life on hold for them. I think we're still in for a bumpy ride.

This is an exciting, fast paced character study/adventure story. The author is equally adept at writing action, steamy sex, psychological tension, fantasy, and tourism guides! A great read for anyone who enjoys stories featuring realistic adult characters (yes, even though they are shifters). No angsty teenager warnings!

Chapter 1 Never Surrender
CincyKris commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Never Surrender
Thank you! Thank you for my big ugly tears (not just a little dampness in the eyes), first of sadness then of joy. This has been rough day, but you put things in perspective for me.- 48 comments

Hot chapter! I'll miss Brandon as well, but I'm hoping we'll see him again in the future. He came to Australia hating half of himself, with a giant chip on his shoulder. He is leaving as a confident alpha, more at peace with his wolf than ever and gained some close friends for life.

The original Davey made lots of stupid and self destructive decisions. I had hoped that Brian had enough influence in the last months to get him on a better path. It looks like years of brainwashing by his family takes longer to overcome. The same can be said of Sean.

What a wonderful surprise! It's too bad all parents can't be like the ones in your story. In my imagination, the boys keep track of each other and live close enough to visit every once in a while. I love the idea that Camp Refuge is out there influencing people one by one.

I'm hoping the presence of strong women with good heads on their shoulders will quicken Sandy's acceptance of Davey. She didn't have that in any other timeline but the last one. At her core, this is the same woman who adopted Sean and Jeremy. As much as I have detested her in these books, I have to admit that she does love her children. I think the worse case scenario is that she kicks him out and he lives with brian, and that's not so bad. I think that Davey had that in the back of his mind when he got up the courage to come out.

Davey has had a strong moral compass throughout the many timelines. David Sr. had that strong morality in the last two timelines. Desperation and frustration cause people to make decisions they regret. Unfortunately, David Sr. made one that has life altering consequences and without Davey's influence, he was going to continue making bad choices. There is good and bad in most people, we have to hope that we make the right choice when faced with a decision of conscience.

Well I'm back to hating Davey's mom! The only timeline in which she was a decent person was the last one, where she had money. She is selfish and materialistic in all timelines. Not having money made her worse. At least with money, she was able to satisfy some hole in her life and focus on other things.
-
Davey is happier right now than he's ever been in his life. He deserves it after what he has been through. We know there will be big challenges in the future, but I think that they have a strong enough relationship to stay together.

Yes!!!!! All good things in this chapter. I look forward to Marcy's whole family going down. Now, we just have to find and rescue Sean.
-
The last time (only time?) She had sex with Brian was New Years. This is late March. Seems a long time to not know you're pregnant if it were legitimate. I agree that this is her being desperate. The best part of this chapter is that our heroes finally got together! We are on the right track now.

I wanted to be there with the guys. You write tourist fiction well. Enough details to interest us, but not too many to bog down the story. Does this count as fanfiction? I love the idea of "CJverse"! I'd like to see Carlos try and keep track of all the characters and timelines!

I'm hoping the lawsuit will awaken Marcy's parents to her behavior. Don't know if they have the ability to improve anything, but it can't hurt. It's probably too much to hope for, but I'd love it if they changed schools. Love, love, love that Davey is moving in with Brian, and that Pete is finally getting over himself. I'm trying to feel sympathy for Davey's mom, but she was such a selfish hateful person in some of the previous timelines, it's not easy.
-
It's good to see more of our Davey peeking through. He's been in there, just covered up by depression, anger, and poverty.
-
Remember the time David Sr. threw the ball hard at Davey with the intent to hurt him? That was the previous timeline in which David Sr. turned into a great person and great president. There is such a fine line between good and bad. The people and circumstances around us effect who we become. I can't imagine Marcy being nudged into a good person at this point in her life. Hopefully Brandon and Trevor will come through for Brian and Davey.
