Damn...this chapter was a doozy...That is a lot of stuff happening here ...Lucian breaking bad ..Kael being love whipped and King Alaric being a nasty piece of work....I like to believe Alaric and Lucian are already doing the darkness' work through their fear and jealous respectively... Can't wait for next chapter to drop

My personal title for this chapter is ..The Price of Gratitude!....Lyn experiences this struggle first hand in this chapter ....Can one look the other way,even when something is wrong, out of gratitude?.Lyn is grateful for being friends with Brad. Most of the decisions he has made thus far in the story ,both present and past when they involve Brad have been out of loyalty and gratitude...This I believe is the biggest test he encounters when it comes to Brad. I mentioned in my previous comment that whatever decision Lyn takes he is damned .. Here the chicken literally comes home to roost when he is confronted by the reality of it...Someone loses either way.. That being said pillow talk has never been so intense like the one that happens in this chapter ...That was communication at its best, at least for me.

Damn...all those who guessed Razi ought to pay themselves... Am just glad Jake and Tad survived this book....but most importantly Tad is now free .

Very wrong ...Father must rue the day he thought Will was easy picking ...he forgot the unwritten rule...Always steer clear of the quiet polite ones, they are the most dangerous when provoked..

You must have had fun writing Will's last part of the speech...and that scene when he makes his exit....that is meta🫡

How does one move on from a painful loss ?.This book offers an insight on how to go about it. We are introduced to our protagonist Creek , a single father who is adrift after losing his partner.We follow his journey as he moves on from grief to healing and new love through his interaction with the characters introduced along the way. It is well paced tale with good complex characters..Highly recommended piece of feel good story telling.

In the previous chapter comments...someone tried to say we should give some leeway to Robert...that he is torn . I find him spineless and irresolute.. That is two chapters in a row that he has allowed people to steam roll him... In trying to please everyone, in trying to maintain peace the chasm between him and Julian grows ever larger ... My God....Sophia and Grandpa are something else...Those two are nasty pieces of work!

This chapter made me cry . It's all about family...It was nice to see Dalian/Creek and by extension Marvin all healed/healing respectively... This was love and family at its best
