Just yesterday when was re-reading this chapter...I got to thinking that at the rate this is going....don't know what will get me first....between uncertainty and frustration 🤣🤣 -

I was thinking when reading that this is actually a Peter chapter!..Like we are experiencing everything from his eyes and it makes the chapter all the more richer for it.

Now that is what you call a plot twist!..Maendrym Cors..Didn't see that coming... That being said.. this chapter and the characters in it are all paying the price of the original sin.. Zdain and Venr have to pay the Piper for the bargain their grandfather must have made with Kal'ditha and whoever he serves ....Bartos has to pay for his father's bargain.... It hastens back to what I mentioned before ..Ambition is good but one has to know when to stop lest their find themselves on the precipice like Berron Rigailon is.. I like to think in a different set of circumstances, Elyssa Monteilon might have been a good mother .Even great..However if you are unlucky to be saddled with a weak POS like Dareis...then chances of that lessen .. Thank you @Lupus

For me this is a chapter about dichotomy...About control and vulnerability as displayed by Alexander and Lyn.. In their intimate session and the after math .. we see this dichotomy come into play with the way both take turns to relinquish control to the other .We then see the stoic and emotionally A intelligent Alexander in a rare moment of vulnerability as @Cane23 pointed out....Personally for me I felt like this whole chapter and interaction between the two fellas was a form of emotional undressing even though in the case of Lyn it's temporary for now.. -
See?...that's why I mentioned it would be an exercise in futility ..

One would think by now am used to 'endings' but this was something else...it's more like a respite, like a stop over before the journey continues ... Like the past chapter ,this one needs to be savoured ..I feel like comment is just excess embellishment... Thank you @LittleBuddhaTW

That being said ...you have really set the ball running in these last three chapters Sir...I would say we get a bet rolling with my fellow readers on who the killer is and who Paul's paramour was but it would be an exercise in futility!..You Sir don't make it easy on us.😂

Why is it always a cold.shower after a sultry scene @LeeSA....a cold beverage can equally do wonders ..😂 That being said....like you am also collecting my thoughts on this chapter ..it was a doozy of information😂
