One thing I have learnt is that the success rate of such unions is pretty low..I mean save for a certain current King and Queen, relationships that start from an affair mostly never end well . It's just chapter 1 so am sure @Inkognito will give give us a view of Jack and Clay's marriage..I like to believe there has to be something deeper to keep Jack in that marriage ..we don't know much at the moment ..am sure it will be fleshed out. Haven's ego seems bigger than his house😂

Damn...this one I will be enjoying. I love mi stories where the protagonists are a mess ..Making one bad decision after another..The ending is usually well earned .. Thank you!

That was not a just a hike...that was an exorcism .It was such a a delight reading that scene where Lyn gets his epiphany .That his romantic feelings for Brad are no more. To be honest I felt sorry for Brad in that last scene...he is floundering. He probably subconsciously realises that Lyn is beyond him . He tries to revert to his jocular self but it does not seem to hold . In my opinion this line is the saddest and annoying in equal measure. “Never in my life, but like never-never, has anyone looked at me like you used to in college.” We probably don't know what transpired during the 'event'...but that line above is an attempt of emotional manipulation..He really does not seem to notice that Lyn has evolved..to an extent that is. The saddest part in that line and that scene by large is that in that moment when Brad is his honest self, it pointless. It's a case of too little, too late.

It's more like a clash of an unstoppable force of Chaos(Steve) and immovable object of Chaos(Blake)...our Captain of order is caught in between😂😂

In the orient , there is a belief that souls are reincarnated and that our deeds in the previous lives can either be karmic boons or debts....Something really is saddening about Jack's family..Nana Bev is an alcoholic ..his parents are narcissists ...that is a lot of baggage for a 15 yo who has his own personal demons to deal.with.

Except Blake seems to have an inkling about all 3 of them now...He might not know with a certainty at the moment but he was a journalist. 'Woe' unto the 3 if Blake was an Investigative reporter..He will unmask the three musketeers and he will have a blast while at it...though it will be just for the fun of it...Blake after all thrives on chaos 😂

I think Blake and Steve have the same personality traits ....only difference is Blake's chaotic nature has been tempered by time and experience.. just look at the scene in his kitchen with Jason...and mirror it to the one of Steve and Kenny during the bedroom cleaning scene from the previous chapter

Remember in the last chapter when Steve's mother remarked that Steve is equal measures genius and dumb?...well this chapter is validation of that statement 😂😂 Remember in the chapter when Jenny-lyn remarked to Sally that Steve is equally parts genius and dumb?..well this chapter is validation of that statement....Only Steve would be trusted to make such a mistake😂😂

I called it last time Sir..😂😂...I knew the detective in Blake would be the one to know about Steve,Kenny and Lydia's business..Mystery authors are smart nuts..😂😂

At last...I called it..knew Davin had some sort of unrequited love thing with Colt .. These two lads have been headed towards that kiss ...it was coming ...and am all for it😂😂...at least we have a beginning of the JoDa ship😂

I understood that sometimes back @Cane23...about their personalities like you have clearly stated them. I mean...what was referring to was some of the busy bodies and holier- than-thous who think they have the moral mandate...you know that kind exist everywhere in our society.

Jesus!...this chapter was such an intense one .eh. Basically we are now somewhat dealing with the metaphysical ....That is even more scary than plain boring murder mysteries...I can't help but feel pity for Judy and Killian...having those gifts is a poisoned chalice.
