After the doozy that was last week's chapter ..it's good to see our protagonist at least talking and not bottling things up.... I like to believe that talk with Trace was productive...at least Joel got to let loose ..though If I were him would be careful with his liberal use of the curse words😂.Do not think Lady Celia would take that lightly.. I hold hope out that Joel will eventually come around to the idea of playing baseball...Davin was right ..you cannot just give up on something you love passionately just because the new place you are in does not fit right like the old one. This story subverts the chosen one trope really well ..In any other story...Josel/Zdain would have some sort of Deus ex machina to help them...say powers or something...In this story however ...our main protagonists are just two simple lads with angst as their main power😂...... Now I understand finally why Zal found Bartos interesting...indeed

I guess it was too soon for Leonardo to make that assessment of Adrian... The rotten apple never falls far from the tree after all.. Now that I think about it...he seemed too good to be true...Adrian I mean...He is indeed a shark too ..That part where he told River about growing in a house of sharks...he is one of those accursed sharks...
