Well...I am learning from you...You are a good teacher...and am an apt pupil.😄😄😂 The tragic irony is that through this collapse, Jace will be forced to confront what real love actually means, beyond delusion and control. Watching Noah, whether with Chris or someone else, build a genuine family life will eventually become the mirror in which Jace sees both his losses and the truth he’s been running from. That painful clarity may be the very thing that pushes him toward growth. I think am the only one who really finds Jace a sympathetic character Now am not condoning his infidelity.He is definitely a flawed and insecure young man.Am guessing he has abandonment issues ,first from his father and then his 'supposed soul mate'..He is ,as you have rightly stated, someone who yearns to be in control of the narrative because if he is not in control then that insecure,broken and lonely boy we get to see in that scene at Miriam's place is all we get. I reckon he is someone who was starved of love and attention ,at least from a male perspective . I mention this basing on his relationships with Noah and Matteo....Other than his mother, I think Matteo must have been the other person to love him and pay attention to him..That is why that relationship was so intense and when Matteo upped and left him,no contact. it must have been devastating for him. We have no idea what happens to Jace in that time .The next time we meet him,albeit in flashback ,is when Jace and Noah's paths begin at University. Noah is rich,smart ,calm and studious and I like to believe in Jace's mind way out of his level. We see how he pursues him and eventually wins him over.He lets fear overcome him and messes up and they finally find their way to each other. For six years, they have martial bliss..Go through hell(panic attacks, disrespect from the Elijah, and like) together .It is for that reason ,those 6 years that I feel Jace is all not a bad person..He is just an insecure weak man. I mentioned in some earlier comments of mine that Jace is in the mess he is in at the moment because of bad decision making.. Keeping his past with Matteo is the worst decision he made. Would the affair still have happened ? Maybe.Maybe not.I like to believe they would have faced the spectre of the past together and we would not have the train wreck we have now...Then again we would not be having a story😂. That being said I have hope that Jace and Noah will find their way back to each other..There might be a lot of hurt and pain at the moment but there is also a lot of love underneath all that.Even though Jace is currently a prat . Do not take me my word for it though...am just a hopelessly romantic fella who believes folks are not entirely irredeemable....that sometimes a rose can bloom out of muck too😂.

People like Matteo....do not have scruples...They do not know when to give up . So he will, like a rash keep coming around . In this chapter, Jace really is a victim of his own cowardice,self-delusion and indecisiveness...He did cheat on Noah yes...but everything that happens here really is Matteo's manipulation.. The ironic thing is Matteo claims to love Jace and yet he does not see he has harmed him. In his effort to burn everything down so that he can 'have' his Jace, he has actually lost him. It's why I have hope that Jace will learn from this. This will be the catalyst that makes him to realise that Matteo is a selfish and manipulative person. He might lose Noah but at least he will become a better person in the process.. I do not know whether it's only me who notices it but Noah has never had low self-esteem...It's actually Jace who has always had that flaw...All his actions depict a person who wants to feel in control because of his non-impressive family background .

Renn is certainly like that rash that comes during cold..it never goes away however much you try to shake it off😂.. You know been thinking of suitable ways of how to get rid of him....in my head of course😂

I don't know when Kate/The Bride grew on me.. I knew she had something more to her than just being the poster child of tragic romance😂😂 Oh my goodness....Hugo and Alec have grown on Sinjin...that he addresses Hugo with that honorific....no wonder Kate was having a blast teasing Hugo😂 Now to Madam Woo....if Kate's reactions are any indication...I suspect she is another formidable person..I cannot wait to 'meet' her. Is it any wonder that Hugo is channeling John MClane from the Die hard movies?.They both never go looking for trouble and yet it always seems to find them.😂

I have waited for this chapter for a long time!..Finally the truth is out in the open and it cannot be used as leverage against our Zdain anymore....It also helps that it has opened up room for thought on a certain blonde's part 😂😂😂 I liked the scene where Renn was sent packing by Zdain.....must have hurt his ego knowing there is someone out there who is just not that into him😂 .That is one rejection that must irk him to no end...All that snake charm and it gets him nothing in the end.. With the scene above and the one at the end of the chapter makes me speculate that our Josel might not exactly be entirely opposed to the idea of being with Zdain...That alone gives me excitement and hope for what is to come next😂😂...It also helps that If it comes to pass, there will an extra kick of seeing the Vargan lass and Renn not getting their paws into our boys😂😂😂 Thank you @Lupus!

Reading this chapter was like reliving it....My Dad did that shit to my Mum..so it was pretty miserable growing up especially since our half siblings were our age mates ...So Mum always told my brother and I to never follow that same path ..Guess what my brother did?..The same shit my Dad pulled ...younger woman than his wife with two children to boot ...So yeah ..Sons do inherit their fathers' habits....most of the time

My country,Uganda makes America look sane...Here our drug policy is so lax,almost non-existent that you do not need a Doctor's prescription..Folks here self-medicate like it's running out stock..Anybody can buy a medicine anytime ,anywhere ..However what is worse is that mental health is really not taken seriously here...Folks are so into thinking it's witchcraft when someone says they are having mental health issues..

This chapter was dark stuff ..Really dark stuff that I feel drained..Will need a cleanse.. I knew it was going to be an energy sapper and I know it is going to become more draining ..This is just so bad!. Jace is a WUSS...just when I think he has gotten some backbone, that he has finally manned up . He lets himself become easily entrapped by Matteo's machinations ...I actually felt sorry for him....He is a weak man and like I said in the previous chapter ..Boys do become their fathers .. If there is anyone who can tell me what to call Matteo...am all ears😂 @Cane23 was right about Miriam...He predicted that she was going to tear him a new one ..and we have not even got to Elijah...I shudder to think of his reaction 😲.. Which brings to ....can we have a guessing game as to what Crazy Matteo's scheme is or who the caller on the other end was? My theory is ...he could have found a way to have Jace-Noah's marriage nullified ..Either the marriage was not properly filed....or worse He and Jace got married in the past and they had no idea that it was legitimate.... I know @vanalas will weave his usual magic though🤣🤣

@LittleBuddhaTW mentioned that this story is relatively long and it does have an ending...all is resolved at the end...So let's just hang in there😂
