    At Last

Just got started on this adventure you crafted. Thought I’d drop in and leave you a comment since I am thoroughly enjoying this. I am a huge fan of fantasy and your story captures just about every element I love about it. Magic, intrigue, and a healthy dose of angst. So far I’m feeling addicted and while I have to go for now, I’m really looking forward to diving back in later.
  2. My favorite thing to do is play a book on audible and go for a long meandering walk, get lost, then see if I can find my way back. Thank goodness for GPS lol

    Chapter 1

I haven’t read any of your Charlie Boone series yet, so I’m jumping in the deep end by starting here. The colorful cast of characters is a lot of fun. I love their antics and definitely love Ricky 😂 Can’t wait to see where the adventure leads them!

    The Date

I’m really enjoying your prompt-inspired short stories. This one has a comforting feeling to it and it was nice to read. Your characters come across as kind people who are careful with each other, and that makes me happy. Thanks for sharing

    Chapter 6

Zak and his brother are just passing through, some of those people you might meet when traveling then never see again, but who make an impact in one way or another. So happy you are enjoying it and thanks for leaving a comment!
  6. Gave me goosebumps. Lovely work, full of revolutionary spirit and hope.

    Chapter 13

Bo is just asking to be taken down a notch, isn’t he? He’s so much fun. Noah seemed to get a good read on him right away. I think they’ll make a good pair.

    Chapter 12

This chapter gives me a sort of “calm before the storm” feeling. And Bo is definitely the main character now. Sorry Jett and Kyle lol

    Chapter 16

Thanks for sticking with it! Hopefully Rayna and her birds will go on to support (and peck at) many as the years go on

    Chapter 11

I have Dirty Deeds stuck in my head now, thanks for that lol Glad these two finally have some time to enjoy each other. But you slipped in Kyle wanting to get a gun and now I’m nervous. What other 70s earworms are you going to stick in our heads during the firing range montage?
  11. So true. I have witnessed enough to fill a book. Mostly from the kids’ family members who don’t think (or care, in some cases) that they can be heard or seen in the background. 😰
  12. Hi, it’s so nice to have a spot to drop in and hear about people’s lives. After a year of teaching first grade on Zoom, I’m looking forward to regaining some of my sanity (knock on wood 🤞). I’ve been on summer break for a couple of weeks now and I’m starting to feel somewhat human again 🙃. Zoom seems innocent at first glance but I’m telling you it’s evil. I’ve never been so relieved for a school year to end.

    Reverberations

I remember all of these in the news, and the weight of their impact. Prop 8 in particular hit hard because of all the effort my friends and I put into marching and phone calling. Brings back many memories, thanks for the good read.

    Chapter 1

Loved this little story. Avery might be shy but he owned that conversation like a boss. Good for him.

    Mom Hugs

You managed to pack a lot of emotional punch into just a few words here. It’s a sad, sweet story and I loved it!
  16. Heartwarming and sweet. I love that their friendship has lasted so long and they’ve been doing puzzles together all this time, so cute. Also, I really don’t remember being four years old, but I’m 100% certain I was the type who had to be strapped to the cart 😂.

    Chapter 1

I love it when I get to look up new words! Today’s was “caliginosity.” I just love how you describe Satan’s color. Also, if the afterlife doesn’t work the way you described it here, then I don’t want one! 😂 Loved it, nice work.

    Why Pride?

What a clever idea for a story - Myles changed a lot in a short amount of time but in a very believable way. Walk five blocks in someone else’s shoes and suddenly you understand things a whole new way. Loved it!

    Chapter 13

What a nice ending to an exciting story! I’m so glad they have grandpa’s support, and was hoping we’d get around to them having the talk. I loved the creativity, ingenuity, and all the possibilities you put into the Armenti technology. It sparked the imagination and made me wonder if there isn’t some advanced alien race out there somewhere, waiting to be discovered… I hope that the great menace doesn’t stop them from exploring further. With so many worlds to discover, you could keep adding to this for ages, if you wanted to!

    Chapter 12

The Schrikken are very observant. Good thing Mike can think up believable lies on the spot. Too bad he feels so guilty about it, that skill could be put to great use back home 😂 The storm clouds seem very ominous. I get a chilling feeling we have just encountered the great menace…

    Chapter 11

Nice to see Mike step down and let the boys take the lead on this one. Get ‘em!

    Chapter 10

I’m very curious about the “overlooking something” hints Jett keeps dropping. I wonder what it could be. Perhaps these weren’t the first girls Dr. Baby Broker kidnapped? Hmmmm After hearing Jim and Lynn’s explanation for their choices, I’m a lot less empathetic to their circumstances. They knowingly adopted babies through an illegitimate route. They kept secrets for shady people doing bad things just to save their own butts. The minute they heard about this shady politician they could have brought it to the police and potentially ended years of suffering for those girls. I know they didn’t know what was really going on behind the scenes, and maybe they were afraid, but they knew something was immoral behind the adoptions. All in the name of “poor me wants a baby but can’t?” I don’t feel sorry for them.

    Chapter 9

Ack how did I miss this update? It probably got buried in the anthology entries. I like the Captain, he seems like a good boss who deserves (low sugar vegan) treats with no strings attached. I have never been big on watching courtroom or police dramas. So coming from a place of pretty much total ignorance, you can tell me just about anything that’s vaguely believable and I’ll think it’s legit. That being said I think you are doing a fantastic job with all the legalese!

    The Runner

I enjoyed your descriptions of the sights and sounds after Jace ran away and he’s alone out in nature. I wonder where he will end up. I imagine he’ll need a lot of support after the trauma he’s just been through. Maybe Ty can help him some more down the road, he seems like a good guy. Nice work.

    Chapter 1

Dementia is so terrifying. Poor Charlie. I am glad there were kind people to help him along the way. But how sad and scary to be in that situation, like a living nightmare. Nice work.
