Don't feel badly though, because Eleanor was believed to have had a lesbian affair with a female journalist, Lorena Hickok. Even though the marriage hadn't been perfect, they both seemed to have found love. The idea of the mystery novel was interesting.

Thank you for the feedback, Lisa. Yes, being trans-gendered is very difficult, because it's so misunderstood. There are stories throughout history about women who lived their lives as men, or vice-versa, and they weren't discovered until their death. It must have been very difficult for them to maintain their secret, as they continued to hide the truth from everyone else. Although I didn't have any connection to this problem, I felt it was something that needed to be discussed, because the trans-gendered even have trouble being accepted by the gay community as well.
