To belong to the Republican party, you need to meet the following criteria. 1. Be holier than thou. 2. Think you're smarter than everyone else. 3. Be unafraid of bending the truth to suit your purposes and scream loudly. 4. Have a disdain for science or anything that requires logic. 5. Look down on every group that isn't exactly like you. 6. Have no sense of humor, because that confuses people. I hope this helps. -
It was very well written, but it also pointed out a couple of things to me. First, he said his 4 years in Miami was like college for some. Maybe that's a problem, drafting players before college and not giving them a chance to grow and develop. It's like the person that only has one partner before getting married. Sometimes it works out, but more often there was no learning or developing from dealing with different partners. Second, in my subconscious mind, I kept hearing... I made so much money while I was in Miami that I can afford to come back now and be where my family wants to be. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's a thought that kept racing through my mind.

Thanks for the feedback, Andy, but don't you understand the concept of SHORT story. lol Yes, Scott and Jeremy have their work cut out for them, since they won't have much time to get acclimated to their new roles, but I think they and the boys will do fine.

I saw the title and thought this was going to be another drinking story. Boy, was I wrong. I guess I never considered what the warning really meant, but I would have read your story anyway. Although it had a tragic outcome, I found it very moving and enlightening. Well done!

A sensitive topic delicately handled. Well done! Your story reminded me of my own childhood growing up working on a farm in a rural and judgmental community. You caught not only the feeling of the farming experience, but also the small minds and idle chatter of the neighbors. Thanks for sharing this fine work.

I thought this was a very creative take on the theme and I loved the use of magic. I'm glad that it worked out for Angus, but sad that it couldn't last.
