MJ, tnanks for the feedback. Justice, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Since Nate was satisfied and the bullies were unhappy, then he felt justice was served.
I enjoyed the story, but was slightly confused. Why was Dougie and David's other friends so protective? If his father had hurt him, this didn't make sense. If others had hurt him, you needed to make that clear so we'd understand the friends' reactions. If David misled them, by telling his friends other lovers had hurt him, not his father, then you needed to make that clear as well. Other than that and some of the overly stiff passages, it was an entertaining read.
It is sad, but some of those building still appeared to be in fairly decent shape. Amazing.
I didn't see Centralia, PA though. It was abandoned because of a fire in the coal mines underneath the city that was emitting poisonous gas.
The key here is, don't disregards something just because it is old. That means an old tale, an old structure or an old person.
Andy, that was a thoroughly delightful story and I loved the way you wove the fairy tales into it. Well done and I truly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the story and liked the connection between Stephan and T.J. I also had a little trouble with the spray painters. First of all, didn't they notice the lights on or smoke coming from the chimney. Not too bright for guys as old as T.J. Also, going out in that type of storm for a juvenile prank seemed a bit much. Other than that, I thought it was well written and very enjoyable. Nice job.
A well crafted and imaginative world you have created for your readers. I found it captivating and your characters very believable and endearing. This could be the beginning of a wonderful series.
Interesting, Addy. Instead of a blossoming relations, we got to witness the demise of one instead, although it was nice to see they'll still remain friends. That's often hard to do after a break up. Good job.
Interesting take on PTSD and its effect on people. I would have liked to know if the results Clay experienced lasted or if they were only temporary. I was also saddened to think that with such promising results the project had been shut down due to Jason's breakdown. Great job and I enjoyed your story.
Wayne, a skillfully crafted story. You brought in multiple cultures and mythology to touch upon important and relevant topics such as environmental pollution and global climate change. A thought provoking look at the world around us and what we're doing to it. .
Thanks for the feedback, Lisa, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. As I had been told many times while growing up, brains can defeat brawn. In this case, it's exactly what Nate did.
Thanks for the feedback, Aditus, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I'm also glad you liked that description. I felt it would adequately describe how the characters looked and felt.
I guess you've never heard the song. Here it is, if you're interested.

I found this very interesting and I watched the clip at the bottom as well. I only have one question for the Bible literalists who believe the Earth is only 6,000 and dinosaurs and humans co-existed. If that were so and Noah took 2 of every species on the ark, where did he put those gigantic dinosaurs and where are they today? Is it possible, that as the Irish Rovers sang about the Unicorn, that the dinosaurs just missed the boat?
It was my first day as a junior in high school and I was excited about being back. I was an upperclassman now, so I was looking forward to having a great year.
As I walked into my first period class, I realized that I had never seen this particular teacher before. She appeared to be only a few years older than me, so it was obvious I was going to have a recent college grad for English this year. Shortly after I sat down, the class got underway and the teacher began taking attendance. This
