Thank you for giving me this POV, it has helped me to gain another perception of the characters and their motivations. Your points on religion in Western world are very interesting because there has always been conflict between teachings and real, deep message it brings. Instead of deep meaning of repentance and redemption, generations have been scared by eternal suffering as paying for the sins on this world. You have made me wonder my own believes, why I want Shawn to "pay" and I can say that, beside morally right aim for justice to be done, there is a not so ethically justified need for revenge. So yes, you are right, why shouldn't Shawn be happy after all?! Regarding Ian, you've made me to conclude that I have put myself in position to advocate him which is something he didn't ask. True, he sacrificed but it was his choice. Shown didn't ask him to, he didn't send any wrong massage or misleaded Ian somehow.

A beautiful chapter, these guys are simply amazing together. I like they are just ordinary, normal looking men, not some Men's health models. Colin's insecurities are even charming now, I can see why Owain is so patient with him.

I wanted to make a comment, then I've seen this one... It is what I wanted to say in different words! Seams that Shawn has been somehow rewarded for his behavior. When vanity despaired under the burden of ages, he wanted commitment and then, after one day of disappointment, Ian came to save him. On the other hand, what's there for Ian? He's been waiting Shawn for years, making sacrifices. What about his life or everything is still about Shawn, his needs and wishes? I don't know about canonization, but Ian deserves at least a medal for patience! At least, I hope that Shawn is aware that it is a payback time, so, the following years should be about Ian and Ian's needs.

I've been out to a theatre (what a waste of time btw) so, I'm a bit late... Now...as Asa has said healing the Caleb - healing the physical wounds is the easy part but healing the psychological problems is a real challenge. It's wonderful seing Asa, Caleb and Corbin working as a team. They are doing great job with the boys and I'm eager to see who are going to be their parents in the future. About Russia, yes or no... Well, it's difficult to say is it brave or stupid (maybe both) but such stubborn mentalities is impossible to stop when they decide something.

I've read this beautifully written, emotional and heartwarming story right after Guarded motivated by the appearance of some beloved characters from first instalment. It's the story of two broken man, one with physical disability and other one with emotional disability. Both of them believes that they are not good enough for each other, that baggage they wear is too heavy for other one to share it. But, as story develops, we see how good they are for each other, the healing together make them different man at the end of the story, make them stronger and sheltered by love. I've been sobbing at some parts of the tale, touched by the emotions author has delivered in most wonderful ways. Meeting the new characters from the Camp Refuge saga, has made me eager to read other instalments of this amazing world @Wayne Gray created!
