  1. That is interesting, as it is in Germany more expensive to eat convenient food, as cook by yourself. Somehow it always seems to be cheaper to buy a frozen thing, but if you break it don`t and you come out cheaper if you take two carrots and some rice etc. and start cooking. But I heard that Germany has low prices for groceries. Maybe that is the difference.
  2. Swiss chard is called Mangold in German, if this isn`t reason enough. xoxoxo
  3. Carring sacks of soil....that is natural body styling. And it is worth the outcome. I always grow salad leafs, they are so much better than everything you can by and they are fast and easy to grow. When we lived in Hanover and had only a small Balcony I already hat a Raspberry bush and 14 Roses trees on it. Moving out wasn`t fun. What can I say, I need nature - especial roses around me.
  4. Take a little bottle, fill it with water and than stuck it in the earth of the pot head down. The water will flow slowly about a longer period, this should protect your plant in the summer. The biggest problem of balcony gardening is, that the pots dry out very fast.
  5. You know that you can grow swiss chard easily by yourself in a pot? It grows and grows. I had some in my vegetable garden and it came back every year. You can cut the leafs and they grow again, it is the same in a flower pot.
  6. Well, now they really will live together forever…
  7. You are so right about what you wrote. And I will add, I used to grow vegetables with my kids in the garden and my kids eat really every vegetable I put on the table, because they are amazed about the growing and harvesting. Can`t wait to have a garden again. This year we have strawberries on our balcony and melons and pumpkins in the stable. The plants are already waiting on my window shelf. How is the cake, sounds delicious, two of my favorite ingredients cherries and coffee.
  8. You are a strong and beautiful soul.
  9. What a way to Come Out! Nicola’s protective older sister came roaring out too. We’d seen hints of it before, but this time it was unambiguous and certain. Robbie seems very unaware of the passage of time, but Nathan’s descriptions make it seem like weeks have passed. It seems unlikely that this story will end in tragedy…
  10. Hi Parker, wonderful poems!! The first one made me laugh as the one about manners does! And the last one is like a confession. I love it. Hugs Lyssa

    Proposal

“But we marry, it will be in the new house.” But when we marry…? Shopping again! ;-) It’s a good thing there aren’t more stores in A’Dore and Blethos! ;-)
  16. I’m not worried! I like Angie & Imp! I’d be happy if you turned this into an on-going series. But only if it didn’t slow down your current stories! ;-) I can hope for miracles, can’t I? You are writing a heavenly-inspired tale, right? ;-)
  17. Hi Valkyrie, this is a great week of poems. I love them all.
  18. So I predict this will become your second ‘prompt’ series, but you’ll resist and try to make them individual ‘stand-alone’ stories and Prom will be delayed yet another year or two… ;-)

    Chapter 1

Yes, he could be a relative of Jasper’s, but if he were related to one of the Europeans, we’d get more chapters of those stories! ;-)
  20. Anthem of Rock 'n Roll.

    Chapter 3

That was my experience when I was homeless (homeless people need paramedics more than most people, so they were at the shelters quite frequently – but only once for me). The paramedics were nice and lean while the firemen always looked bulky, even overweight. I got to compare them since the policy in the area is to send the fire department first even though they usually couldn’t do anything but wait for the paramedics – a big waste of money since they aren’t trained as paramedics as they are in some jurisdictions. But my impression of paramedics is that they, like police and firemen, are not among the most accepting professions. But things are almost certainly better where I live than in more rural areas. One of my straight friends from the suburbs dated a paramedic who was kind of homophobic – she was even reluctant to introduce me to him.

    Chapter 67

This a club that was over the bow to allow wonderful views as we left Dunedin. This was a club located over the bow? Did they see any Dúnedain in Dunedin? Any Ents in Doubtful Sound or Entwives in Dusky Sound? How about Hobbits or Elves in Wellington? ;-) And that mist whales produce is condensation from their exhaled breath, not spewed water. ;-)
  24. Or DP? ;-) I want to point out that that ‘you’ I mentioned earlier is generic and plural. I do not mean to suggest that anyone might be interested in the practice, might be interested in prostitution either as seller or purchaser, or might otherwise find this topic fascinating.
