  1. Now these are the kind of friends to have; they help you move. Charlie really just not into moving or something else going on? I really like Lila and Maudie seems like someone I would love to be around. Can't wait to see how this progresses.
  2. As always, thanks for the look back at the week. Upper 70's or lower 80's today in Central Texas, some rain this past week, so everything is green. Of course, hot and dry will be here soon, so enjoying the weekend here.
  3. What a wonderful chapter, it is so nice when family can finally get over their attitudes and just be family. I for one cannot wait to see Trinity de La Creme in all their glory performing for family in a setting like that. And I am quite sure that Pop is right, none of them might believe what he has seen in the navy. LOL, why do I hear the Village People in my head. Pippa is the architect of this and loving every minute of it. Kevin suddenly realizes that the world is bigger than he suspected and his choices might be greater than he suspected. Kieran and Charlie are truly settling into their new life, and so much more.
  4. Fascinating.

    Chapter 30

The end comes for the foreign prince; he will win no crown. The question remains though, what type of peace will the victors achieve.
  6. I truly do not know what nightmare to characterize first. Britney had a boy. She wants Frank to raise it. Alice is pregnant, is Matthew the father? Everyone but Dante realizes that he has a problem with the pills. For the love the of the Goddess, please let nothing happen to Miss Carolyn until some of this is resolved.

    Uncle Edwin

Uncle Edwin doesn't seem but maybe one level above and to the right of Uncle Vernon; perhaps they knew each other or were in business together. LOL. Love Maudie already, can't wait to see how that develops. And Neil seems to be just creeping in, most be more than just his brother's interest.

    Chapter 26

What the hell is wrong with Isidore, does she have a brain tumor or what? If Frank really has no idea, this is more screwed up than I have ever seen her except when Billy was killed. I don't think the issue with Will and Travis is nearly as dire as either Travis or some of the other commentors seem to; but I do think if Travis doesn't make a few better choices, this could truly go south rapidly. I don't know why Will occasionally seems to get with a guy, Austin this time, that is going to want to end up in a strictly one on one relationship, you can tell Austin is that kind of guy, and Will is not ready for that type of a relationship, if he ever will be. Either Austin or Will is going to get hurt, worse than I think Travis will be in the short term.

    Chapter 12

Sam was able to get away, more because Rafe seems to truly not like the idea of taking a life, strange for a drug dealer. So, the leader appears to be a woman, while not a total surprise, at least an interesting turn of events. Let's hope that Sam does use this as a lesson and never tries the gryphon ash again. We can hope, right? I think that Graeme is starting to realize what he means to Sam, even if Sam is still too afraid to verbalize it.

    Part 2

Wonderful story, and a universal truth, there will always be those that hate anything different, but that hate can always be overcome with love.
  11. So well done... And that snake is just too much; Ra better show up soon or we are all gonna be hunting him down.

    Part 1

Fascinating start, hate that only one more installment. Tony Scott still in town, and still writing; Aaron along for the ride, lol. Jack is interesting and Aunty Pearl sounds like a hoot. Can't wait to see what she has to say.

    Chapter 7

Luckily, Austin has some tactical background, he realized immediately that the SUV's were a diversion. Thankfully, Xavier realized he was right. But why go after the pups? Xavier and Austin arrived in time; but Xavier was not strong enough to take out the wolf in charge, but luckily, they delayed him long enough for Aaron to arrive. Aaron was able to take him out, but at the risk of almost losing his life. Noticed that although Xavier is hellaciously pissed at Aaron, but when he had to have back up, Aaron was his first call. Surprised that Nathaniel and Sade were not following him, although they could have gone to protect the Alpha. Just who bite Austin?

    Chapter 3

Ah, the hubris of youth, believing that you have it all worked out, how everyone would react if you did something. But in reality, it almost never plays out like you think. I wonder why Brian gave him 20 euros instead of the 5 that was stolen? Why did he want Jake away from the situation so badly, can he afford to give up the extra without any issues? I am glad that Jake has decided to take Billy into the group more. Jake's dad is more observant that Jake gave him credit for...

    Chapter 29

While they still wait for the foreign prince to ask for terms or try to flee; the Royalist tighten the noose ever tighter. Now the Church does the same, after all priests can starve as well, and with all of this money going to war, the church is not getting its share. Kaylen stands ready to fight; but he also works to win the peace that will come at some point. And peace is often as hard to win as war. Ronan and Tomas are a good match; they balance each other out in so many ways.
  16. OMG, I so want a Western mystery... As always, thanks for dive @Myr

    Chapter 2

I had to go back a reread the first chapter but remember why I thought this would be interesting. Jake has had a rather privileged upbringing, I know he doesn't think so but compared to many others he is several steps ahead. Both his parents seem to really care about him and his sister and take an interest in their lives. The incident with Billy could go either way, guys being a little jealous of what he is packing or trying to make his life hell because of it. Billy wants to be part of the group so bad, and while he is group adjacent, he probably realizes that he isn't one of the main members. He wants a real friend, and I hope that Jake proves worthy of that. Jake has now come face to face with Brian, but not in a situation that he was really prepared for, let's hope this works out better than I suspect it might. What has happened in his past that made the change in Brian? That might go a long way into explaining his behavior.

    Chapter 11

I doubt that Sam will realize it, that is the danger, but the drug made him act foolishly and that has led to his current situation.

    Danica

Honestly, this chapter makes me like both of these women way more than I did before. I find this a truly perplexing society, but one that has many admirable behaviors. I hope we get to see this four years down the road; but they may both be surprised by who is at Dante's side.
  20. Will definitely have to find time for this one.
  21. Great Uncle Edwin sounds like a stick in the mud. But money does lubricate many things, not always successfully. And gentlemen of a certain age seems to have ideas about what proper behavior is, and it rarely matches what those of the current generation believe. And honestly, does generosity of that sort ever truly come without some constraints? Alex seems to a have divergent group of friends, but it is nice to hold onto a few older ones that can remember when. So Mother is as shocked by Neil's showing up at the concert as Alex was, wonder why his mother is so reticent to talk about his current life? I think that a few Eastern European Folk music performances has been my only real exposure to a cimbalom, but I know it was used in some of the Lord of the Rings music from the films. Can't wait to see where this goes next.
  22. Kieran and Charlie are learning the rhythm to each other's lives, and that is all part of the coupling process. It is all the little things that often will make or break a relationship. Learning to adjust to each other and find was to adapt. Glad that Matt was willing to take Charlie back, it seems to be something he truly likes. And while Kieran's dad may not be crazy about how loosey goosey what Kieran is up to, it might be the start of something good for him as well. I am so glad the Kieran and Charlie are getting more social in their hometown, and meeting others that allow them to be themselves. I think if Patrick hadn't shown up, Pippa would have driven to Sydney and pulled him by his ear all the way up there. I am glad that this group of the family proved to be so accepting of Patrick coming home, and I can't wait for a show in a local setting. Trinity de La Creme comes home...
  23. Oh, I can't wait for the next anthology...

    Chapter 28

The loss of Lincoln was the beginning of the end for the foreign prince. The defeat at sea was the nail in the coffin. Kaylen, Tomas, and Ronan were able to help Lincoln recover, and with it the north. Victory is empty without mercy, for you cannot win the peace without it. Kaylen knows what is needed and understands the way that things should be; and carries the conviction to see it done. Tomas and Ronan have fought and bled together; they will be side to side for all the years they walk the earth. Kaylen does what he does not for land or title, but because it is right. And his actions will help not just the north, but the country as a whole heal, especially if the Marshall is able to show others that Kaylen's way is the right way.
