Eric was able to find a few things, often towns tend to put the charity and second hand shops in areas that are honestly hard for those that really need them to get there, I have never understood that. Adam probably understands Eric's issues better than Andy, but it may take some time for Eric to warm up to him, he does represent so much of what Eric has issues with. Andy is really getting into the idea of trying to help Eric, let's hope he is able to do so.

Lovely chapter, Eric seems to be warming up to Andy; and Andy seems to be taking this more seriously and with some zeal.

Adam realized really quickly that Andy hadn't really handled any of this professionally. Even if it is a volunteer position, it is one that should be taken seriously. It will significantly affect Eric in ways that Andy simply cannot understand.

Andy, like many young people in his position, simply cannot understand the issues that Eric has. It isn't his fault, nor is it Eric's, it is simply the reality of the situation. Eric was so hopeful, I do understand how crushing this would be for him.

Eric sounds like many men of his generations, he did his job, and kept to himself; easier to do that than risk the backlash of being who he was. It is a crying shame how little we care for older adults, I am one as well, but all too often they are the first one to have their budget cut and shunted to the side. Let's hope Andy is able to help Eric in whatever way possible.

Devin is an innocent fool. Luka is a foolish man. He has hidden what he feels for Devin for so long, that it may well be too late now to announce it. Mezenga is a succubus of some type, can he be defeated, we will see. -
Pursuing a dream like that can take everything you have; but Johnny has Bruce, and with him behind him letting him know how much he cares for him, maybe, just maybe; this could be the dream that catches that big wave and he rides it all the way home.

Trinity de La Creme and the Sisters of Divine Disgrace put on one hell of a show; and Pippa was in the middle of it directing it all. She will have to be inducted into the Sisters as an honorary member. Kevin and Jack went public, and surprise, the earth did not open up and swallow them whole. Seems like everyone is moving forward in our little universe. While this one appears to be winding down; I am sure there will be another coming around the bend.

I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. I thought we would get some kind of answer as the ceremony progressed. Is what Atlas doing affecting Kellen, or is this just when all the issues with Kellen losing his magic just happen to come to the forefront? Where the hell is Dust when you need him. LOL Nora is proving more of a team player that I would have thought in the beginning; I like that she wants to know what is going on and tries to find ways to expand her knowledge while trying to push the investigation forward. I truly feel for Damien, everything seems to hit a raw nerve with him; whatever fully happened in the past has truly screwed with his pshyche. -
Devin has been wanting for so long, that perhaps he longs for death. Luka has been protecting so long, perhaps he tires of it. Mezenga has hunted for so long, kept his secrets, that he is the master of it.

Well-crafted tale of Ser Graeme and Sam, his would be squire. This is very much character driven, at least it is for me, as I came to quickly care about both in the first installment. And I do think you need to read it first to have a sense of some of the actions in this one. We see them starting out on the road until an unexpected rescue brings them a job, that Sam might just be perfect for. There are of course complications along the way, as Sam is still suffering his loss from the first book. Read the first book in this saga, and then join us as we continue them in this one.

A wonderful conclusion to this book, look forward to reading more in this saga. Graeme and Sam are finding out just how much they do mean to each other, in ways that I don't think either of them ever suspected.

Lovely chapter, I can't get enough of the way these two are bonding. And I appreciate the fact that even though they are very early in, they can talk to each other, something some never manage properly. So many delicious side and secondary characters, and all so well fleshed out. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Welcome back, and glad you survived your marathon road trip. Sorry about the two year old, I never understand taking a child that young on a plane. As always, thanks for the update and look back at the past week highlights. -
What a special day, I know that Dante wishes that Dimmi had said Papa to him first, but I think it was meant to be Frank. Alice hurt Dante in a way that will take more than just time to heal, but I am hoping for the best. The ceremony seemed really nice. Since Dimmi is the son of two free men, is he considered free?

Wonderful chapter, and I can't wait to see what happens next. I am glad that Kieran and Charlie are socializing more as a couple with their people, so to speak. I do worry some about Kevin and Jack, bridging cultural divides are never easy, and sometimes prove to be impossible. But let's hope for the best. Cannot wait to see the show and what Patrick and his group come up with. In the words of that great spiritual from the 60's, the times are a changing.

Johnny is learning that it is those quiet moments, those small moments that can actually matter the most. They help show you and perhaps those around you, who you really are, what you are made of. Slice of Napoli sounds like my kinda place.

I mirror most of the questions that @drsawzall asked. But I am glad that Dante and Frank came together, I do hate that there seems to be a distance between Alice and Dante, however. That said, perhaps time will heal that wound, or at least lessen it. I never cared much for Matthew, and this did nothing to improve my opinion of him. Hate that Sam has issues, but again, perhaps time and medicine can help. Glad that Carolyn is still with us all. Equally glad that Britney seems to have flown the coop. What about Sarah? -
Confessions and Confidences

I really like that Alex and Neil are opening up about their past and getting to know what got them to the point they are at now. It is the small choices and twist of fate that leads you to your current life. Rarely is a grand plan all it was meant to be. I can imagine that it would be hard with everything spending 20 something years viewing their life choices one way; and then something happens and all of the sudden, another path opens up. Can't wait to see what happens next. -
Sounds like Will's first movie with a good role is going to turn out really great. He just needs to keep his head down and continue to learn and absorb what he can from those around him. Austin is getting way to clingy, I am honestly surprised Will was as nice about it as he was. Will and Travis really clicked in this chapter, but I can't wait for Will to get to Australia and spend some time there. Of course, Travis will be in in LA working on the movie, but they will still talk, just have to handle the time change properly. Can't wait to see how this movie shoot goes for Travis, hope he is able to stay on an even keel during it. It isn't so much the movie that worries me, but more Palisades because of how he is basically the character he is playing on it.

They got the information to Duncan, let's hope he is able to act to wrap up the woman and at least some of her partners and product. Sam is a little too free with information, he has no idea if the guard he spoke to was in the employee of those they were seeking to stop. I am sure the woman had at least attempted to recruit a few of the watch and the guards, history would say she was at least partially successful. Graeme still refuses to believe what Sam said under the influence of the ash was the truth, but it was...
