Talk about moving like a spring flood shooting through a narrow valley... I appreciate that they have a lot of time to make up for; but they need to at least catch their breathe. Still not sure that Carly is through throwing up roadblocks but we can all hope.

Well, Carly turned on a dime when the truth came out. I would not trust her period though. She will try something else. Plus, I am not sure that it is fair to keep the truth from Jared.

WOW, Carly was a bigger bitch than anyone could have guessed. Craig and Jared may actually need to be together to get back to being whole for both of them. IN Texas, fathers are almost automatically ignored in child custody issues. Everything counts against them and almost nothing against the mother.

Carly is obviously a self-centered narcissistic bitch... That said, it is so hard to date or get involved with someone that a member of your family has been involved with.

Okay, one hell of a way to start a story...

You know, I never even contemplated how this would effect Benden. This is a remarkable take that you have come up with, can't wait to see where you go with it.

OMG, I just realized realized that with Zalna at Benden; she would not go have gone forward... I am truly going to hate that she will be left behind. Can't wait to see what you do with this story.

Wonderful update, I truly hate that Charlie is helping the whale to drain the lifeforce out of other creatures; but his bond with the whale is obviously stronger than anyone realized. Hope that someone realizes that the tracker and his group is in trouble and gets there fast or none of them may survive....

Mere words cannot begin to express how brilliant this story is. Writing is as perfect as can be, pacing is spot on, and plotting and characterization is just unbelievable. First rate....

This is the sixth story in the Bridgemont saga; and to this point in my opinion the best one so far. It truly has it all; the writing and plotting is just amazing; and Mark's continued ability to blend fiction with real history is just superb. This story has it all. It has exciting battles, love and hate, great sex, and drama on both the high seas and in the emerging work of high finance. Anyone that has enjoyed any of the previous stories will just find more of whatever they loved here.

This book is the fifth in the Bridgemont series. This book is as well written and plotted as well as those that have come before it. The characters development of both the existing characters and the newer ones is first rate as well. This book while dealing a great deal with one especially important battle and a couple of other more minor military exercises is exciting and thrilling in those areas. But a great deal of this book deals with family dramas within the Granger family. Some effect George directly while more just involve him and Caroline on a more peripheral manner. The first real crack in George and Caroline's relationship occurs herein; and while it was resolved for the most part before the end of the book; it leaves one wondering how secure they truly are? As always simply one of the best stories on this site.

This is the fourth book in the Bridgemont saga. I found this book more adventure story than any other. The writing and pacing were both first rate and the continued character development is superb. The battles seemed to dominate this book for me. There were some excellent action elsewhere but the battles really draws the reader in. You truly feel the spray of water on your face, the smell of the gunpowder, and the cry of the injured and dying. Mark has a remarkable facility to draw one into the action... Enjoyed every aspect of this book, and for those that have read the first three books in this saga; you will simply find more of the brilliance in this one.

The wonderful third entry into the Bridgemont saga. Granger truly comes into his own. He is given command of his own vessel. Travels to India, back to Britain, then the West Indies, then Philadelphia to meet with President Washington; and finally back to Britain. He meets new friends, new lovers, and new enemies; and manages to deal with them all, except his wife and his brother, Bertie. Read the story to find out what the wife pulled and why. LOL. There were new battles, challenges, and real life historical figures to meet and deal with and enjoy. Well written as always and faced perfectly.

A new tale with some old friends from the Sidewinder story plus a special new one for an old favorite. I do love westerns; they are few and far between not just on this site but anywhere. I think they take a special type of writer to really bring them to life, fortunately we have one here in Headstall. This story brings Coy and Boone from the Sidewinder and adds Mitch, the sheriff from that story; who I found to be a fascinating secondary character in it. We they add in Will, Mitch's long in the past love for a story full of passion and remembering what makes life worth living. Truly well written, the nature descriptive is as good here as in Sidewinder; and that is saying a lot. Love how the author brings such descriptive language into the story. You truly smell scents, hear sounds, and experience so much while reading the story. Pacing and flow of the story is first rate. A few new interesting character along for the ride as well. Can't recommend this story enough, sit back in front of a roaring fire, sip on a nice drink; and get ready for a wonderful tale.

What a wonderful close to this story. I did like how Mitch thought back to that encounter; that he really did not like but needed, so many have been there and done that. Even then he knew what he truly wanted; he just did not allow himself to believe it was possible. Mitch and Will have made some plans, we hope they are able to do everything they want. They have found each other at a point in their life when they are truly ready for the relationship they want. We can all hope that they grow old together and that their love just grows deeper and more all encompassing. Glad that Coy and Boone have these two men in their lives. May they all know happiness. Personally, I could use another tale with these characters; maybe add a youngster or two for them to care for and we are all set for another adventure.

The second book in the Bridgemont saga is equal or maybe even better than the first. We get to see Granger's continued growth and his coming truly into his own. It is full of battles, and not just those between ships. Mark has done a marvelous job of weaving real history into this story. The writing and pacing continue to be excellent. The characters are vibrant and so well developed. I love how the secondary characters or even those we just get glimpses of are so fully drawn. You truly feel that you are a part of this story.

This is the story that started the Bridgemont saga; one of the two best that I have found on this site. It has everything. The writing is compelling, the pacing is perfect, the character development is first rate; and it manages to bring history alive. We are introduced to George Granger, an intrepid youth from an aristocratic family that finds his footing in the British navy. We meet many who will influence his formative development in this revered institution but most of all we will see his drive to succeed. Just can't say enough about how wonderful this story and the saga it spawned as been and continues to be.

Mawgrim has given us another wonderful book in his saga that uses the wonderful Dragons of Pern by Anne McCafferty. This was a hard one for me to read; since we knew some of what was going to happen because the saga started in the future. We knew tragedy would occur and it took me a few chapters to get over looking for it in every sentence and chapter. When it finally happened the power of the writing and how it was handled made it easier to bear and accept. Loved the characters that Mawgrim has developed and his writing style is wonderful. The flow to the story and how it ebbs and then comes to crescendos is outstanding. For those that love the Dragon of Pern series; you will find much to recommend in this one as well. Of course, the gay relationships are there, after all this is on gayauthors.org. But in the end it is as much about the story and action as who is sleeping with who. I just cannot recommend this story enough. The writing, pacing, action, and the fully integrated characters make it a great read...

Well, they are all looking forward the unknown, not just the future; but something they never envisaged. D'gar is of course sad about S'brin, and understandably so; bit he no more than the rest truly knows what this trip will bring. We can hope that he is able to overcome his hesitation and decide that he can be in another relationship. I would think that being alone and just indulging in the occasional encounters would prove unfulfilling. Can't wait to see what you do next with this series, so excited for the next book in the saga...

What a wonderful chapter, so full of laughter and love, and a little bit of teasing... Coy and Boone are sure in their relationship and Mitch and Will are as well. In a way, it is good they bought the land next to each other, as this will give cover for them all plus keep nosy parkers on the outside. The attention to details and the small tidbits of what is going on makes this story so much more enjoyable. I love the how you are able to pull nature into the story; but not just that, the description of what is the meal was spot on, could almost smell and taste it myself. Amazing as always, just so well written...

Beyond thrilled to get an update on Granger. His relationship with the Countess was very much one of a mentor. While there is true affection there, nothing more could really come of it. Pavel was a little different, they are more on the same level and I thing a deep friendship was established. Now, George was truly in love with the Czar, I am not sure that it is the sun burning so bright kind of love, but it was true love. Am glad that Granger and Daventry are on their way home finally. I do think that George will tell Caroline and after a little discussion, they will move forward with their life without to much disruption. Granger may have a harder time dealing with the Admiralty than his wife. Is it strange that as I was reading this chapter, I wondered about how the Russians we are leaving will have families and eventually those families will face the revolution in the future. None of these characters will be there for that; but I have to hope that Granger's family will still do what they can for those in that time frame.

We all understand about life; just take care of yourself and we will be here waiting on pics and needles... Thanks for letting us know...

Great chapter, well written and flowed wonderfully. I love how so much of this chapter was the small things that happen on a daily basis around the weyr. The cleaning, the gossip, the preparations for meeting up and spending time together; even if that got put off. It is so often the little things that can add so much to a story, gives it a sense of authenticity and realism. Can't wait to see how the last chapter goes and then find out what the next story in the saga is going to deal with...
