The Stuff of Nightmares
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in The Stuff of Nightmares
Why is the gatekeeper always some pissy little ass that uses what little power he has to lord it over others... I hope the next few lycan kills are wolfs and then let the Supreme Alpha learn that his beta withheld that information... -
Strange Things Roam the Mountains
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Strange Things Roam the Mountains
So much hate; and nothing but misery will come of it.... -
OMG, don't you know that you never complain or worry about it being boring; that is the kiss of death...
-
Christopher keeps talking about loving his creations; but his hate just comes off him in waves...

Well, we can hope that R'mart holds to what he says; but it is obvious that Bedella truly has no idea how to run the weyr and is only holding on to her lost loves ideas to keep him alive. I am quite sure that the seconded riders are correct that at least part of the reason that Telgar had to call for help was that the practice was causing loses that otherwise would not have occurred. D'gar handled that all quite well. I have a feeling those that those riders from Telgar are not going to like what R'mart has promised the seconded riders.

I truly can't decide if Aleks just doesn't understand what is coming or if he thinks that somehow he will just skate through it... Maks is living in a made up world but he is going to have a come to Jesus moment as well...

A wonderful Were story with a slightly different perspective. Lots of love and humor; but also plenty of action and adventure. Truly well written, and the pacing and flow were superb. The secondary characters were truly a delight and added so much to the story. Highly recommend...

My crystal balls says the Ladies were Madonna, Cher, Lady Gaga, and of course; Judy, there has to be a Judy...

What a truly wonderful epilogue. I am so happy that Susie and the Ladies got back to Chicago safe and sound. Glad that they and Pip and Tim all have a safe place to be. Loved the parade and the afterparty, what a delight. And truly love that Sam is going to be a werebear too and that Thomas is going to get to be a Poppa.... Can't wait for the new book.

I am so happy that Gunnar went back and helped Axel. I hope the wereboars don't end up in too much trouble either. Loved the visit to the diner. Loved that Joshua/Jay was able to trace the ancestry for Mike. Just a truly sweet story.

What a wonderful chapter; full of information and intrigue and so much more. I think that much of Granger's take on the Battle of Copenhagen was correct. The British portrayed it as a great victory while it served a short term purpose; it really did little to effect anything long term. While I do enjoy Granger's activity in Russia; I can't wait for him to get home and start moving forward. I found both his and Daventry's ruminations on the changes in government quite insightful. Addington was never more than a caretaker in the position of Prime Minister and accomplished very little. Of course; the near collapse of the British economy and Bonaparte made his time in the office very difficult. So glad to have an update; hope all is going well.

In Which Many Things are Resolved on the Battlefield
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in In Which Many Things are Resolved on the Battlefield
Just loved this so much... Apollo and Susie showed up with their army detachment in just the nick of time. Do hate that Kane was so delusional that he chose death over a chance to live, even if he probably did deserve it. Nick will have plenty of time to think about his crimes and live; maybe without Kane he can grow. I think that Mike made the right choice, he and Gunnar need some time together to cement their bond. -
No wonder Telgar needed so much help; they have total fools running the place. D'gar is right, but it will not make him popular with anyone to be so.
-
Well, the packs that went silent may well be the Supreme Alpha making his move; if so, lets hope he moves quickly... Nick is an idiot; but anyone that jealous and obsessed is going to miss a few things. All of this current idiocy over a few cases of beer...

A true Gordian knot; and yet he knows what he truly wants...

Becoming One with the Bear
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Becoming One with the Bear
OMG, I cannot believe that level of stupidity. A few beers are not worth getting killed for. I doubt that Kane would want Mike at this point but Mike certainly has not learned to fight or evade or anything yet so if the wolves attack while he is strong; he will be at a definite disadvantage.... I swear the stupidity of the average male in whatever form is just way to high... -
Chapter 20: Introductory Interview
centexhairysub commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 20: Introductory Interview
A wonderful chapter, it flowed beautifully. I do think it is a little early to start talking about kids; but something to keep in the back of their minds. Glad that they enjoyed their weekend of babysitting. The beta and enforcer seem like a truly good team; and also truly good people. Yakob's question truly worries me... -
Those that are indoctrinated from birth are hard to reach; maybe no possible when you involved religion. So glad that the Council is aware of just how dangerous this group truly is; and bravo to whomever was able to get the spy planted in that pack. Hope the Supreme Alpha care about others not just his own; but either way Susie is doing what she can. Yea for both Alpha Apollo and Yea for the Ladies and Pip...

Book Two: Winter. Prologue.
centexhairysub commented on Rhythminthemind's story chapter in Book Two: Winter. Prologue.
Oh, Hell to the NO.... If Charlie truly felt like that then he should have done something to make her believe he was truly dead. To come back just to say stop searching for me and I am never coming home is too cruel... Truly well written, even if I hated what it said... -
A Growing Cub Needs to Eat
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in A Growing Cub Needs to Eat
Loved the first half of the chapter... Religious nut jobs not matter what variety are always a danger to society no matter what that society is... I won't go as far as to condemn all organized religion but in general religion has done more damage than good throughout history. Radicalization is always a threat to true spirituality. -
Honestly, maybe they just need to walk away from each other; of course, not much of a story if they did...
-
What a wonderful Christmas gift to them both... So glad that there will be no jealousy between these three.

Home Is Where Your Honey Is
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Home Is Where Your Honey Is
A wonderful little family going off grid; and I hope it works really really well. Glad that Mike has made the decision to accept the ability that his nature has granted him. I would be careful about making that kind of purchase in such a small area; it will have been memorable. -
Thanksgiving Turmoil
centexhairysub commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Thanksgiving Turmoil
So glad that no one died yet... Of course, Pip might have been close to it. No communication is definitely best; as we saw, at least Bart is if not tech savvy at least tech knowledgeable. If Mike would have made his decision sooner, then they could have had three bears to face the wolves; even if one might not have been as good of a fighter. Keep up the great work... -
Learning to Love Again

So sweet; letting go can be hard, but sometimes it is the only thing you can do to move forward...
