Violet was purposeful and deliberate, but she is already working the numbers. She, like Johnny, understood immediately just how good of a movie this script could turn into. What does Carrington want? So, there are two other survivors? Are they from the yacht or were they already on the island? I am surprised that Connor and Jamie have not explored more of the island. Orcas are naturally curious creatures, not sure something that I would have done, but what a rush...

Neil is learning how hard it is to let younger siblings be; you don't want them to get hurt or make the same mistakes that you have, but can you ever really hold them back, NO... Glad that Charlie seems to be looking better, and glad that he has something that has pulled his interest, won't make him rich, but will look good on a CV. Plus, you know Charlie has been around much more than Neil, and he probably knows what he is getting himself into. I am so glad that Uncle Edwin actually took an interest and has purchased the project Neil is working on, perhaps Alex is right, it could be a niche market. And Rose going and looking around, Gar's shop might become a hot spot. LOL. I just love how Alex and Neil continue to work their way into each other's life. Sparkling dialog as always, can't wait to see what happens next.

Thokk needs to be honest with himself. He may or may not truly want a sexual relationship with Henry, but he wants something from him on a level that right now he is not comfortable admitting to himself. I have to say that I had already guessed that Gash and Khartikk were more than friends, but glad to see how easy Thokk accepted the idea of it. Thokk really impressed me trying to listen to and support Korgar. Who knows, at some point, maybe he will be in a position to help. Something to think about though, is what is Henry's feelings toward Thokk?

Fr. Costas is right; Levi must look within and keep listening to his heart about what is right. Nothing has to be decided today or in the near future. Levi simply must take his time and decide what he truly believes, not what he has been taught, not what others have preached to or at him; but what he truly believes in his own heart. Levi does have a few good friends, but I do worry about Casey Thompson. There is something about him that sets off a warning within Levi, and he needs to listen to this. Lovely chapter, can't wait to see what happens next.

Some men are just not fit to kill; it would be a waste of a bullet. Zane Yoder is truly a piece of work, to do something like that to your child, or even any member of your family puts you beyond the pale. But he is going to get his; his own father knew what kind of man he was and made sure that Taggert holds the keys to the kingdom. Killing him would be too good, you need to let everyone in the world know what he did; and while a few asses will think he was right, most of the world will never look at him the same way again. His reputation would be ruined and for a man like that, that is a fate worse than death. Tony and Randy bet on the wrong horse. If Taggert were to put his financial resources together with the Nasser's, I would suspect that they could come out on top. In addition, Taggert could make sure Zane knew what he controlled and just let him know that if he bid on Fleming's that he might lose access to some mighty important parts of the Yoder ranch. Ash may not fully understand everything going on, but he understands that he loves Taggert and will stand by him as long as Taggert will have him. And that might be the most important thing that anyone could do for Taggert right now. Bradford handled the situation in the shower the way a truly decent man would. He said what he said and let Taggert know that nothing was his fault. Just so well done...

If there is only three chapters left; this better be the first book of a five-book saga, or some other people might end up branded as well... At least metaphorically.

Well done, everything had such the perfect edge of tension. Sam looking at the jelly and butter on the toast and thinking of the lava. Are we presaging the idea of an earthquake? Violet is drawn to the script, maybe not as much as Johnny yet; but she also sees the pitfalls. Filming on location, the cost, the obstacles; she is looking at more than the idea of the finished product. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Some outstanding works by really talented authors...

Thokk is clearly on the right track with his research, of course, he will have to persuade others of it, but still, this could truly lead to a breakthrough. Henry has a right to be proud, and yet he also seems drawn to Thokk in some way. Thokk has certain feelings when he is near Henry, ones that he does not even seem to fully acknowledge, but perhaps he needs time to work them out himself as well. Thank you for this update, really digging this story.

Levi is finding his bearing, not only with Matt and Luke, but Tim and Guy as well. He is starting to realize that all of them do care. They are their extended families will all be there for him. Levi is becoming closer friend with Jimmy and Dan; and I think he is starting to understand more fully their relationship as well. Some of the other kids are coming around as well. He got another warning about Casey and his crew, from a different source; of course, we have seen nothing from Casey gives us a real view one way or the other. The fact that Casey does nothing to try and stop those in his crew from the verbal harassment says something though. Selling the house will be a defining moment. In many ways it is severing the last tie to his old life. Glad that Matt took him back for one last look around. Levi seemed to handle it well, but you never truly know what may hit you from out of the blue. I do think Levi going back to church, and maybe talking with Father Costas, would be a good thing, and helpful in more than a few ways.

Lovely chapter and glad to see the meeting with Uncle Edwin went more than well. Looks like Neil and Gar's shop might get some business out of this as well. You know that is how it works sometimes. You will meet people in a setting like this, and they get interested in something and have the money to follow that interest and then of course, they have friends that want to follow the new fad or trend. You know, I never thought about Uncle Edwin being gay, not that it matters, but it could make a few things more interesting. Lila and Alex handled the evening really well, and let's hope a few people find reasons to open a few checkbooks even wider. Love everything about this, each chapter deliver's a new delight.

Why waste time?

Grew up in the country and there were always creeks, rivers, tanks, lakes, etc... Always places to skinny dip, or in my chunky dunking As always, thanks for the look back at the past week.

Let's hope that August is able to help Willy James and his friend Runyon. It is a sorrow to say that those of a different color depending on the area of the country were treated worse than most. More than a few were lynched or shot simply to appease the anger of white's who thought they had done some wrong to others that were white. We can hope that even if they don't go with August and Fletcher that they can get away from this town before anything untold happens. August was smart to suggest the letter, kept another reason to delay him off the table. August is truly a good person, his mother must have been something else as we know he didn't get it from his Pa.

Taggert will need all the support he can get, as I suspect that Zane Yoder plays by no rules but his own. This is could and probably will get very nasty very quickly. Once he has a moment to think about it, Taggert will realize that the 63 million could be only a starting point. Rebecca used the work liquid valuation, this usually means what it is worth if sold rapidly with speed being the only factor. In reality, the total assets could be substantially more, especially depending on how much and what part of the Yoder Ranch empire is included but not part of as of yet. I am still hoping that part of the assets are some bank notes for a certain piece of land that no one realizes are there, but we will see. Ash has to realize that Taggert needs him for him, not to help manage the money, Taggert was already trained for that; but to support him, to care for him, love him just for himself. Can't wait to see what happens next, @Wayne Gray, have you considered every other day posting schedule? LOL...

Honestly, Travis needs to step up; he survived is father and real family in real life, nothing he is going through should be able to touch that. I understand it bringing up old memories and it makes him want to spin out of control; but see a therapist or a counselor. The drug cocktail he is starting to take is going to screw him up before he realizes it, and then where will he be? Fab dumped Caroline but dumped Marie as well; and that is probably a good thing. He needs to concentrate on getting his life together without dealing with anyone else at the moment. I have trouble believing that Marie got herself so deep that this hurts as much as she acts as if it does. I would think anyone would think twice before going after Marie or Will either one. You would have to either have a true smoking gun, or a suicide wish to do so. Anything less would be idiotic in the extreme. Austin just annoys me. Kendo worries me. And @Mark Arbour amazes me...

A night out with someone special; then out of nowhere, an interruption. But could this be the next step, the next idea to come, something worthy of a second act. Love how they just mesh so easily together, matching without even trying, just going along and find they fit so well together.

I just love everything about this story. The characters just fly off the page, even the secondary and tertiary characters are so purposely drawn and complete. They all create this beautiful mosaic that you never realize how dynamic it is until you begin to see the finished product. Alex and Neil continue to work their way into the nooks and crannies of each other's lives, how they fit together and what makes them work better together than apart Plus, they continue to help each other grow in unexpected ways. Would Neil have ever branched out in the sculpture arena if not for Alex, and Alex has gotten so much from Neil, support and help, as he pushed his idea of the Werther opera. I worry about Charlie, but perhaps he needs someone to manage his life a little. Can't wait to see what happens next with it all; and Uncle Edwin is back, that may well prove more than a little entertaining.

I am still holding out hope that the trust contains some bank notes that will screw over Zane Yoder, and help the Nasser's and Eric... Loved this. A woman like Rebecca Ivers is worth her weight in gold. She is incorruptible, and she knows something is wrong at the Yoder ranch, and she used everything she could to find Taggert. It took just a small hiccup in the system for her to locate him; but she knows something is wrong, that is why she is there in person, with no way for anyone to trace her; unless Zane has someone following her, which he might well do. Taggert and Ash are starting to have those small moments that lead to bigger ones. But the fact of how Ash reacted when he realized what had happened to Taggert says so much. He stepped back and made sure that Taggert knew that he was there for him when HE was ready to talk, not when Ash wanted an explanation. I have a feeling this is going to start feeling like a wildfire that is getting out of control...

Oh, I am definitely blaming the bank first and foremost; but Zane Yoder is already damn near unredeemable in my opinion at this point. And the fact that he and his two cohorts were all wearing black hats, well never saw a western where the good guys were in black hats. LOL. We know the one guy was his ranch manager, but who was the other, another son?

Matt and Levi have to realize they cannot turn back the clock, all they can do is make the best of their situation and move forward with love and affection. They will have their bumps in the road, but looking back to the what might have been is never a good thing. We must not jump to conclusions, I do think Levi should take his father's advice and stay away from the Thompson's until he gets his bearing better; but you can't tar every member of the family with the same brush, there has to be a few outliers that are good people. Jimmy appears to be friendly, but let's hope he pays enough attention to Dan to keep his jealousy at bay. Levi will not want to come between then in any way, he just isn't that kind of guy. I swear, I want to slap Levi's deceased grandfather with a two by four... Can't wait to see what happens next.

What did Bradford notice at the auction house that the rest didn't. If the bank or a second bank doesn't hold the notes, who does exactly? An individual or private entity could of course, but someone should know; and the bank was beyond stupid to make the move toward liquidation without knowing and having the approval of whomever holds the rest of the notes. It is irresponsible on a fiduciary level. Eric has all the support he can handle, but most of this is up to him. He knows he can't stop the liquidation, unless whomever holds the other notes pulls something, but losing family land like this is like having your soul yanked out of your living body. James was quick to notice that something was not right, and Bert came down awfully quick to talk to Taggert and get some answers. Ash finally understands some of Taggert's actions, but he knows that this full story is something only Taggert can share, and only when he is ready. A truly wonderful chapter...

Calder had to be behind this; Chad simply did not have the brains to try and do this himself. So proud of Nathaniel, he killed Chad before Chad could kill him, of course, he was already weakened, so Chad's girlfriend tried to finish the job. Honestly, glad we did not find out what Aaron did to him. Even if he is turned, will Austin going to be ready to face Calder in such a short period of time?
